Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Province of Lucca

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Bryan and Sara! Reaching the accommodation requires a short hike, but you’re rewarded with stunning views – and the luggage is conveniently brought up by a small tractor. From the very beginning, everything was perfect. The house, garden, and pool are absolutely beautiful – a true little paradise. Everything was clean and lovingly maintained. Bryan and Sara are incredibly warm and welcoming hosts who do everything they can to make your stay special. Since we arrived late, Sara kindly offered to prepare a lovely dinner for us, and Bryan gave us a little pizza-making class – such a great experience! Their helpfulness and kindness, combined with the magical charm of the accommodation, made our stay truly unique and unforgettable. Thanks a lot :)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Absolutely Perfect Tuscan Escape Just Outside Lucca's Walls! Our stay at this duplex was wonderful, earning every single one of its five stars! From the moment we booked, communication with the host was prompt, friendly, and incredibly helpful, making our arrival completely stress-free. The location is truly unbeatable. Being just a 9-minute drive outside the historic walls of Lucca offered the perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility. We enjoyed peaceful evenings in a gorgeous back yard, yet could easily pop into Lucca within minutes to explore its stunning architecture, vibrant piazzas, and fantastic restaurants. The short drive meant we avoided the bustle of staying right in the center, and parking was a breeze with a free parking lot just a short walk from the walls. The duplex itself is a gem. It’s beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, and felt immediately like a home away from home. Would 100% rebook at this location! 🩷

Wir haben uns bei Isabell sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist sehr hell und sauber. Isabell hat sich mit der Einrichtung sehr viel Mühe geben und überall kleine Aufmerksamkeit platziert. Es gibt sehr gute Empfehlungen für Restaurants/Bars (Sugahero, Gli Orti können wir beides sehr empfehlen) und auch die Katzen auf dem Gelände werden vorgestellt. Das Pool Areal ist sehr clean und bietet viel Schatten, der Garten ist wunderschön durchdacht und ein ruhiger Rückzugsort. Wir würden Isabells Unterkunft auch Freunden empfehlen. Vielen Dank

Beautiful place. Clotilde is friendly and helpful. Tranquil large garden and fantastic pool. Great for kids, our one year old loved running around in the grass. Excellent kitchen for cooking at home. Location is very convenient to Lucca and some charming small towns. The Esselunga in Pescia (10 min drive) is one of the best supermarkets I’ve ever seen.

Maria Victoria ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin. Sie war immer erreichbar und gleichzeitig sehr diskret. Die Unterkunft liegt wunderschön, schon die Anfahrt ist es wert. Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll und hochwertig, man hat alles was man braucht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Cristina is the perfect host and the house is beautiful. The surroundings are amazing and the views......wow! All through the booking and our stay there Cristina was swift to answer any questions we had and also was happy to offer suggestions on places to go and where to eat. We had a perfect week there and I wouldn't hesitate to go back or to recommend her place to anyone else. Cristina and her sister met us at the house and showed us round, clearly pointing out all the relevant bits that we would need to know. Thank you so much for making our week in Italy so special and enjoyable......we are already looking to come back!

Abbiamo fatto una vacanzina di famiglia nella splendida casa di Micaela e tutto è stato meraviglioso. Lei e il suo compagno sono stati gentilissimi e flessibili sugli orari. La casa è immersa in un' atmosfera magica. Per arrivare la strada è un po' impervia ma ciò fa sì che rimanga un luogo protetto e di pace, e soprattutto Micaela è stata disponibilissima nell' aiutarci a portare le nostre cose con la sua macchina, sia all'andata che al ritorno. L' aspetto acustico è da tenere in considerazione: la casa è divisa in tre piani ma essendo una casa antica e con i pavimenti di legno, si sente ogni suono che proviene dalle altre stanze. La casa era pulitissima e non mancava nulla, c'era qualsiasi cosa per cucinare e per stare comodi. La sera c'erano le lucciole e vicino c'è un ruscello bellissimo e il percorso per andare alle cascate. Se vi piace la vita a contatto con la natura ma con tutti i confort per stare bene, questo è il posto giusto :)

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely accommodation in beautiful surroundings very much. Kate was very helpful and communicative. She very kindly left us some food (and Prosecco!) as our flight was delayed which meant we missed the supermarket visit prior to checking in. She made recommendations for thermal baths when we showed interest in these and she delivered a little bottle of delicious limoncello as an extra treat during our 5-night stay! The view from the pool is amazing and swimming and lounging on the sun beds in that area were very relaxing. The drive to the accommodation is quite challenging up a narrow, steep mountain road with hairpin bends, which did give us the willies when driving there, especially in the dark! But all in all a wonderful stay - thank you!

My husband and I had a wonderful 2 week stay in Helene’s apartment! It was well located and easy to get to shopping, restaurants, groceries, etc. It was also well located for day trips throughout Tuscany - by train and through private tours we booked. Helene was very responsive throughout the entire process. Tania coordinated the details for our arrival. Nicole met us and gave us a quick tour of the apartment as well as recommendations for grocery stores and sightseeing. She was also very responsive to needs and questions we had throughout our stay. We found it to be a very relaxing and inviting place to stay and would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay in Lucca. Grazie Mille to Helene, Tania and Nicole!

I had 5 lovely relaxed weeks here. Paolo and his family were present when needed but otherwise the apartment is private and the garden and pool area are wonderful! I will stay here again :-)

A great experience staying at this lovely location. Very helpful hosts which is always very much appreciated when you are in an unfamiliar location. Went above and beyond to make us welcome. Would highly recommend this apartment. But be mindful there are quite a few steps up to accommodation and might not be ideal for everyone.

Wir haben uns sooo wohlgefühlt. Die Gäste-Empfehlung zur Pizzariea in der Straße könner wir bestätigen. Auch die Dachterrasse haber wir gerne zum Frühstück und auch mal abends genutzt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Casa Maria Rosa was perfect for our family in every way. It’s a spacious flat in a fantastic location. Keep in mind that you can’t drive your luggage all the way to the door and the nearest parking we found (paid) was a half mile from the flat (10 min walk). I understand that a taxi CAN drive your luggage all the way to the door so you might consider that if needed.

Stunning apartment in a fantastic location. Francesco was extremely helpful, both prior to and during the trip - being very responsive and giving us some great recommendations of places to eat. We would 100% stay again if/when we return to Lucca which in itself is an amazing place!

Wow, our stay was fantastic! The apartment was appointed in a way that made us feel at home, comfortable and relaxed! The information booklet they provided was the best I have encountered - great recommendations and directions! I will return!

Thankyou Brian (and family) for what was an unforgettable magical experience. The villa far surpassed all our expectations. The villa is beyond beautiful and oozes rustic charm, perfect for a large group. Rooms were clean and with beautiful views (on the top floor) to wake up to, so much so that it felt like a dream. Bathrooms were lovely and higher spec than expected for such an old building. swimming pool serves it's purpose, but it's in a gorgeous garden amongst olive groves....stunning. Brian and family were the perfect balance of keeping in touch and ensuring we had everything we needed whilst ensuring that we felt we had the place to ourselves, a perfectly ran operation. We arranged a dinner one evening in the house cooked by Brian's mother which was an amazing experience to enjoy such a wonderful setting with friends. thank you Brian! we already hope to return in future.

Andrea ist ein super netter Vermieter, der immer Tipps für Essen oder Ausflüge parat hat. Er war stets super freundlich und schnell erreichbar. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und wunderschön gelegen. Sie is mit Liebe dekoriert. Wir hatten täglich einen atemberaubenden Sonnenuntergang. Das Haus ist schön kühl an sehr heißen Tagen. Auch unsere beiden Hunde haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Ich kann die Unterkunft nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

We had a fantastic stay at the Villino - it was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and really well equipped. There is lots of outdoor spaces with the small courtyard being perfect for soaking up the sun whilst the terrace provided some lovely shade when it got too warm. It really is as nice as it looks in the pictures! The Villino is situated off a quiet street, but is an easy 2km / 20 minute walk to the walls of Lucca which as great for us - not too far away that we couldn't walk into town for sightseeing or evening meals but an easy place to drive to without having to deal with the beautiful but narrow maze of streets within the walls. Local shops and a Lidl supermarket are nearby too. Enrico was a really excellent host, arranging check-in at a time that suited us and providing lots of friendly advice and recommendations for places to eat / visit. Thank you Enrico! Overall a wonderful place to stay and would highly recommend

Das Haus eignet sich sehr gut, um es mit Freunden zu teilen. Die ruhige Lage auf einem Berg bietet eine herrliche Aussicht auf die umliegenden Hügel. Die dicken Mauern ermöglichen einen erholsamen Schlaf und im Sommer ist das Haus sicher schön kühl. Die Umgebung von Lucca und Städte wie Pisa oder Florenz kann man gut mit dem Auto erkunden. Wir sind morgens in den Ort gefahren, um süße Backwaren bei der Pasticceria und Brötchen beim Supermarkt Esselunga zu kaufen. Ein Highlight für uns war die Weinprobe beim kleinen Bio-Weingut Cantina Biagiotti mit dem jungen Winzer Francesco, 20 Minuten Fahrzeit vom Haus entfernt.

Thanks Daniele for allowing us to stay in your home! The house is stunning and spacious- the azure room in particular is a dream! We loved the pool and the spectacular infinity views and all the greenery around the house. An easy 5 minute drive to Castelnuovo do Garfagnana for any supermarkets and a good base to explore the Apuan Alps. This house will have pretty much everything you need for a comfortable stay! Highly recommended!

Abbiamo passato 3 giorni fantastici nella villa di Daniele, immersa nella tranquillità della campagna toscana. Eravamo in 9 amici e la casa è stata perfetta per il nostro soggiorno: spaziosa, pulita e dotata di tutti i comfort. La piscina e la jacuzzi esterne sono state le protagoniste delle nostre giornate di relax, mentre la sauna interna ha aggiunto un tocco speciale alle serate. Gli spazi comuni sono ampi e ben organizzati e il portico esterno è ideale per fare una grigliata. Daniele è stato un host impeccabile: sempre disponibile e attento, ci ha fatto sentire subito benvenuti. Un soggiorno che consigliamo senza esitazioni, perfetto per chi cerca pace, comfort e un bel posto dove condividere momenti con gli amici.

Merveilleux séjour dans cette villa de rêve à la vue imprenable et aux extérieurs magnifiques. Lorenzo est très accueillant, disponible, reactif et gentil, je ne saurai que recommander cet endroit où nous avons passé 5 jours inoubliables. Les intérieurs sont également très fonctionnels, tout était très propre et bien pensé !

If we could give Antica Limonaia six stars we would! Dana and Andrea were excellent at communicating and we knew they were close by if we ever had an issue. It was lovely to be met by Andrea on our arrival and shown around the house to settle us in. The house itself is beautiful - so light and spacious. Plenty of room for us with our adult children and their partners. We cooked nearly every evening in the gorgeous kitchen which was so well equipped. The laundry area was useful and well stocked. There was beautiful crockery, china, cutlery, linens. I could write an essay on how exquisite everything was (don’t get me started on the pretty tea towels) but suffice to say it was all perfect for us and will leave lasting happy memories. The table football is sturdy enough for four 20-somethings to revert to childhood!
