Places to stay in Province of Lucca

A review from my uncle who stayed with us at this glorious place: —- DIMORA LEONE – GRAND, GLORIOUS, AND STRAIGHT OUT OF A HISTORICAL EPIC 🌟🏛️ If you’ve ever wanted to step directly into a scene from Il Gattopardo—Luchino Visconti’s sweeping masterpiece of Sicilian aristocracy and fading grandeur—Dimora Leone in Lucca is where that dream becomes reality. Except here, you’re not watching from the audience—you’re living it, and possibly looking better while doing so. Every room drips with Old World splendor. From the ornate gold-framed mirrors that practically demand dramatic monologues, to hand-painted ceilings that look like they were commissioned by Medici cousins who knew how to throw a party, this place is a Renaissance fever dream in the best possible way. Great location, host, water pressure, and comfortable beds. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dimora Leone isn’t just a stay. It’s a standing ovation in architectural form. —— To which I say… ditto.

This is the one, look no further! Perfect space, clean, new, high quality. Unlike many other apartments in lucca that look right into other buildings, this apartment has beautiful views over the roofs and is flooded with light. Bright and airy! Wonderful light throughout the day with a South-East exposure! The views extend past the roof tops and towers to the mountains in the distance - Wish we had stayed longer! Guido is an absolute Gem and was super helpful from the moment we made the booking. Also the apartment is very central in the city so it’s no more than a 5-10min walk to get anywhere. There is also a great little wine bar on the square below! Thanks Guido - see you next time!

Anna’s apartment was absolutely dreamy it felt like stepping back in time. She paid attention to even the tiniest details, carefully preserving original paints and walls, which gave the space a truly unique glamour. Anna herself was so friendly, flexible, and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and welcoming. It was the perfect weekend getaway to detox and unwind from busy city life. Highly recommend!

I stayed in this loft for 4 nights in June 2025, great place, recently refurbished. It is in a fantastic location, right in the city centre though you can get anywhere inside city walls in under 15 mins. Host was very responsive and very proactive, I received clear instructions on how to find and access the property prior to my arrival as well as recommendations on what to do and where to eat in Lucca. My personal recommendation is "In Pasta - Cibo e Convivio" I chose this place as it had an air conditioner, but I did not need to use it as the loft was very cool (even chilly at times) throughout my whole stay despite temperature reaching +29 outside. Few things to note: - It is a ground floor apartment and it is very humid, the air felt moist. - Building is located in a quiet street however the apartment is not sound proof, if someone is speaking next to the window or entering/exiting the building (shutting front door), you might hear it. But it did not happen much.

Daniel‘s apartment was recently renovated and very centrally located to the old city of Luca it was an easy walk to parking and an easy entrance onto the wall to walk around the city of the highlight of our visit .

Wonderful location in the heart of Lucca. The view of the amphitheatre is incredible! We stayed for two nights for a wedding and had everything we needed. The noise wasn’t an issue for us and we had a 9 year old who said it was the best sleep he’s ever had 😅 the hammock is a lovely touch. As the other reviews say, the stairs are steep and we did struggle slightly with a large suitcase but that was to be expected. Overall a lovely stay 🙂

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Giorgia's lovely place in the heart of Lucca, and we had a wonderful time. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and very charming, furnished and decorated with attention to detail. It is also equipped with everything you may need, and more. We cooked several meals and worked comfortably from the apartment. The view of the piazza is beautiful, and the location is fantastic for exploring gorgeous Lucca (just make sure to bring ear plugs in case of noise from the street at night). Finally, Giorgia's guide to the city was very helpful. I recommend this apartment for an atmospheric stay in Lucca!
