Vacation rentals with lake access in Pelkosenniemi

Our stay at Tarja and Scott’s house was one of the best adventures of our lives. Even before the trip, they were very kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and had everything we needed. The house was cozy and warm, with plenty of firewood. There is also a beautiful kota near the house where we could cook on the fire and watch the northern lights. We were lucky to see the aurora five nights in a row. Scott also gave us great advice about hiking and kindly let us stay a bit longer on our last day. Before we left, we had a nice talk and learned more about his life. We will always remember this peaceful place by the lake and hope to return one day. :)

Amazing experience. The location is great for seeing auroras (we saw them!) and only half an hour from Rovaniemi. The lake is very beautiful. The cottage is very well equipped and cozy. The only issue we had was the door locks which are not intuitive. The host's communication was very good. I highly recommend this accommodation!

We fall in love with this house. It has a lot of great moment to offer. You can walk on the frozen lake, playing snow around the house, and even seeing aurora from the house window. Love the surroundings! The amenities are also great. Thank you host for the great house with excellent service.

We recently stayed in Minnas house and it was just perfect. The house is beautiful inside and is very cozy and homely. It has fantastic views out the back looking over the frozen lake and there is a little hill down to the lake which the kids used for sledding (Minna had lots of sleighs left outside for the kids to use which was very kind). The location is great as its in a little quite neighborhood in nature but also only a short drive to shops and the centre. Minna is a great host and is very reachable and quick to answer any questions. Thanks for having us.

The house and surroundings are absolutely stunning. Me and my group all agreed it was the best Air BnB we have ever stayed in, hands down! I would highly recommend this property, you won't regret it.

Miia is a great host. She is super helpful and help us a lot before we arrive Rovaniemi. The house is such a beautiful place to stay, be it the house environment or their surrounding area. It is too big for 4 of us but we did enjoyed it due to great location in front of the lake. We experienced Northern Light just in front of the balcony. Very recommended to stay! Worth it! The stay was amazing! Jyry was extremely helpful and responsive the entire time. The home was very clean and very nice. The surroundings were beautiful, and we got some great views of the northern lights from here. Was definitely worth it to stay here

johanna's airbnb in the center of rovaniemi was the perfect accommodation for two girls exploration the city over a long weekend. johanna was very welcoming and helped us feel right at home in her place. it was spotless clean and included plenty of the amenities, including a dishwasher, stove, oven, washing machine and dryer, shower, hair dryer, and even a sauna! the private sauna in the bathroom was such a cool experience that we really enjoyed. the house manual included helpful instructions for using the finnish appliances. the beds were very comfortable and the apartment was quiet and cozy. the location is perfect - we were right near the grocery store, shopping mall, and all the restaurants in rovaniemi. it was really easy to walk to dinner every night and to shop during the day. it was also a short uber to the santa claus village. several location tourist agencies are nearby, so it was easy to get picked up for our northern lights and reindeer tours.

The view from the windows is uniquely overwhelming. You must have experienced this live. This applies to all three rooms: living/dining room with kitchenette, sauna!! and bedroom. We highly recommend this place.

Amazing Stay! I had a wonderful experience staying at this flat. It's perfectly located, close to everything you could need. The flat itself was spotless, and it had everything I needed for a comfortable stay—such a thoughtful touch from the owner. Plus, it had a bidet, which was a great one! Morag, the owner, was incredibly kind and always available to answer my questions. She provided great solutions to any concerns I had and even kept us updated on the local weather. In short, Morag and the flat definitely deserve more than a 5-star rating!

Really beautifully decorated, tidy, clean and cozy apartment with a beautiful view. Quiet house, good location, easy walking distance to Eteläkeskus and the city center. The bed was good. Plenty of free parking in the yard.

We had a great time at Nicholas' place. The welcome and instructions were very clear. The apartment was very warm and functional, we felt very good there. The sauna is a real asset that we really appreciated. We would definitely recommend Nicholas and his apartment to discover Rovaniemi and its surroundings.

We enjoyed very much the beautiful and peaceful surrounding. Very responsive host, had a little problem with the door, Ari came to help us in no time. Lovely place with a lot for the kids to do. Will definitely stay again when we come back.

It was a dream come true! The house is very nicely located. Ideal for skiers, but also for hiking and exploring it invites you. With the fireplace in the living room you get a wonderful atmosphere! The communication went perfectly and you can book beautiful tours on site

My spouse and I had a great time there, from the welcome by her very friendly husband, the quiet environment with the added bonus of squirrels and birds that came every morning in front of the window, the northern lights on the lake just behind. The only catch is maybe the bed is a little small and the sauna that we couldn't get to work, but that didn't stop us from having a lovely time there, the area is beautiful and quiet, we recommend the place and will be happy to come back! We had the pleasure of staying 4 days in this exceptional architectural oasis surrounded by stunning nature and overlooking the lake. We enjoyed the beautiful views from every room in the cabin—whether from the bed in the morning, the sauna, or during dinner. The cabin is quiet and located about 16 km from Rovaniemi, making it the perfect base for our daily excursions. We rented a car at the airport, which made exploring easy. Johannes has been an impeccable and incredibly pleasant host, always quick to respond and ready with great recommendations. The cottage in Mourujärvi was just what I and my 2 sons and dog needed. comfortable little cottage with beautiful lake view in a quiet location. I hope you find fish in the lake to eat, or at least a pike. I still believe I'll return to the same place with the whole family. general assessment, basically a nice little cottage, no luxury if you need it, but a thoroughly Finnish red cottage🔥👌 So, yes, I will continue

We had 3 very nice days in the cottage. It was wonderfully quiet and idyllic. We especially liked the sauna and the hot tub. The communication was very fast and uncomplicated. We would love to come back anytime.

Tainas and Taistos lovely little place is an amazing survival experience. We really enjoyed our retreat-like silent and peacefull visit. The cottages are small but if You are two people or even alone if You dare, outside and nature is the thing here. When the entertainment, buzyness, internet and restlessness is taken off your life for a while, You can deeply appriciate the silence and the nature and our origins once more.

We had an incredible, magical week in Miika's sweet cottage. Miika made our stay perfect. He took us on a snowmobile safari, we went ice fishing together and he pointed out the Aurora to us at night. As a further highlight, his wife cooked an insanely delicious reindeer soup for us. This was the highlight of our week in Finland. We also received great tips on other activities and Miika also organized a visit to a reindeer farm, very private. We enjoyed the beautiful and quiet location right by the lake with our private sauna. Thanks a million Miika and we will certainly come back!
