It is a fantastic location and the views of lake and mountain are lovely. The host is really responsive and easy to deal with. This is a great house for groups of friends and family wanting to get away. Lots of space and hideaways for larger groups.

Very cozy, well-kept and clean house in the countryside. You only need to bring your own groceries. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with shower. We felt very comfortable. The journey is along a kilometer-long unpaved road. You can reach it without an SUV. However, as in all of SA, an SUV is an advantage. We definitely can recommend the place!

Such Beautiful cottage with large yard to enjoy well drinking your morning coffee. Staying there really added to our wonderful relaxing few days in Caledon.

We have had a lovely stay with Mel on her beautiful wine farm. The spot tranquil and beautiful and Mel has been incredibly accommodating! Definitely would recommend and definitely will be returning!

We had a lovely and peaceful family breakaway. The tents have all you need to make your stay comfy while still giving a camping feel.

Fantastic location far from the hustle and bustle of city life. The perfect way to get away and recharge in nature. Great facilities and accommodation. Good spot to visit with children / family. Easy hiking trail options which offer something for the whole family. Highly recommend a visit here. We will be back for sure.

We had such a lovely stay! The space was not only spotless and beautifully maintained, but it also had so many thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. What stood out most was how incredibly child-friendly the place was. There were a dress up box, books, trampoline, play park and best of all - animals that kept our little ones entertained. My kids loved the animal feeding with Chisomo where they could also gather eggs from the chickens. The treasure was also quite enjoyable for both us and the kids :) The garden is so amazing!! You don’t often get to interact with the owner, and sometimes you may not want to. But this is not one of those times. And it’s a double whammy as Paul is also the former wine maker and great connoisseur. And a really welcoming guy on top of that. And he has super friendly dogs! And the way he talks about how they converted the farm from apples to vines. Plenty of ANDs… That baton passed to his son and he is doing an amazing job, the Chardonnay is something else. Nikki made our stay with her sense of humor and the way she treated my mother. Definitely a place that welcomes you.

We had a great stay at Vin’s place with our dogs. The place is clean, peaceful and the garden is beautiful. Vin is super responsive and accommodating, and full of good local recommendations !

A get away we didn’t know we needed. We spent two nights, and we are looking forward to going back. The breakfasts baskets are lovely, the staff are friendly, the cottage is stunning and the surroundings are so very pretty.

We had such a wonderful stay here! The location is stunning and from the second we got there we just felt immediately relaxed. The view of the town and the horses is so beautiful and peaceful, the house is cozy and has everything you need, and the hot tub was clean and wonderful under the stars once it got hot. The place feels both very open while also being very private, which is rare and so nice. All the info provided was very accurate and helpful. We brought our small dog and she loved it too! Renee and Milton were very friendly and responsive hosts, and we would absolutely come back in a heartbeat.

Amazing unit in a secluded part of the farm. Very quiet and picturesque. Great restaurants and wine tasting nearby.

Everything about our experience here was amazing. The venue was even better than we had expected and communications were excellent. We all loved every moment of our long weekend away and want to come back.

What a gorgeous view! Beautiful space, our dogs adored the fenced garden, it was private, spotless, beautifully decorated, comfy, and all the extras were superb-extra wood for the fireplace, wine, honey, coffee...and then on top of that, extremely kind hosts that offered early check in and late check out, suggestions for restaurants and activities, and more. Plus, the on premises host was ready to greet us, available at a moment's notice, friendly, professional, and helpful. Cannot recommend this spot enough, but feeling a little worried that it'll be become too popular and I'll have less chance to visit 😜 Superb value and really...the view...you won't want to leave. Chef's kiss!

Very laid back, welcoming and pet friendly hosts. We had an incredible stay. A peaceful and humble getaway in a space that teems with historic farm cottage appeal, and the dogs enjoyed the spacious lawns for rolling around. They have dams to visit and horse riding as well!

Richard’s Cottage was a perfect escape. You can enjoy the beautiful view while making a fire and listening to the birds, donkeys and chickens down in the valley. Tesselaarsdal is a little gem that will offer what you need. The shop is limited but the restaurant will keep you full and feeling welcome. With Caledon 30min away and Hermanus 45min you’re in the perfect sweet spot of ‘isolated but connected’. For wine-lovers, the Hemel-and-Aarde Wine Valley starts 20min from your house. The cottage itself is spacious, comfortable, full of character and well equipped. It also spoils you with 2 fireplaces, an absolute winter treat! In addition the host was quick to respond to any of our needs and very helpful. Will definitely come visit again! Thank you, Richard, Thank you Mya!

Ive stayed at a quite a few places with the Family over the years however this one met our expectations above and beyond. From the moment I booked Malani provided me with the list of instructions for the house along with helpful tips, she responded almost immediately. We were welcomed by the friendly Casper and his wife with open arms. Would highly recommend this place for a group or Family looking to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Chanél is a wonderful host! Upon arrival I was welcomed with a bunch of beautiful flowers she had picked from her garden with a ‘Happy Birthday’ card attached. The attention to detail throughout the booking process, arrival and stay, left a lasting impression! The property is stunning - a truly charming oasis of tranquility. We booked for a winter stay but would love to experience this space in summer. A perfect getaway to rest, reflect and leave reenergized.

The difference between a good and a great Airbnb are the little things. This place gets the little things right. Fresh sourdough on the counter top. Their award winning wines on the shelf. Crisp bedding. The kind of arm chairs made so you can tuck your feet up while reading a book. This place is special. My family stayed here with our toddler daughter, and the place is heaven for all ages. Craig provided a warm welcome and thought of our needs before we knew we needed them (a table at the Beaumont Mills restaurant for a lazy long brunch was exactly what our day callled for). The gardens were lovely, kids of all ages enjoyed the playground, we stuffed ourselves on jams from the deli, walked through the vineyards and along the mountain bike trail. We were in no hurry and no one hurried us. If this is a scam, I look forward to being scammed again.

The farmhouse is large, comfortable and very well equipped. The living area is spacious yet cosy with many personal touches. It was a home from home with the added bonus of being in a tranquil spot overlooking the beautiful Hemel en Aarde valley. It is well located, close to many vineyards for winetasting and about a 20 minute drive to Hermanus. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would not hesitate to come back.

The view alone makes booking this airbnb worthwhile! Mandy is a wonderful host and is quick to respond to our questions. The house is very comfortable for large groups and the open plan living area/kitchen is great. There are special loadshedding lamps, a gas stove and a generator which makes living with power outages bearable. What a relaxing week!

We spent four days in this beautiful house and were very pleased. Penny was always responsive and accommodating. The house is perhaps only a year old and in really top condition. The same goes for the many kitchen appliances and utensils. Thank you so much for letting us stay here!

The photos don’t do justice of this beautiful house and the surroundings. Gorgeous views, peaceful surroundings and lots to do in the area. Living area was much bigger than expected. Small issues were dealt with quickly and it was wonderful to have a mid stay clean. Norah was super helpful!!
