  • Dive Under the Sea with a Shark Expert
Dive in and let me share my 21-year career in shark conservation, scientific research, campaigning and education in this story-telling, Shark Smart quiz, creative drawing and fact-filled experience. Plus I’ll give you a copy of my book called 'SHARKS' for free! It's fun and suitable for all ages, adults and children alike. It's great for SPECIAL EVENTS, PRIVATE GROUPS and TEAM-BUILDING (I've hosted Microsoft, Apple, Paypal and many more). You’ll find out how I overcame my fear of sharks and went from being called Shark Bait to the Shark Warrior, and how an extraordinary shark named Maxine changed my life. You’ll learn about shark research as you follow Maxine’s journey to freedom when I satellite tagged her and set her free after 9 years in captivity. My compelling videos and photos will lead you on a virtual underwater adventure into the oceans of the world to meet weird and wonderful sharks, including living dinosaurs! You’ll learn about these amazing animals, what threats they face, and why we need to save them. I'll share stories about my global travels to photograph and film different species of sharks, answer questions like why I've never been bitten, and let you in on secrets behind some of my crazy shark awareness campaigns. Most importantly you'll be supporting the conservation work of our nonprofit. Please send me a request for a date and time if not listed.

  • The Art of Penguin Conservation
Waddle with me (and my sidekick Sushi) into the fascinating world of Africa's only penguin species! Over the course of a fun and informative chat /drawing class you’ll discover little-known facts and amazing insights into the unique lifestyle of our endangered penguins and the conservation challenges they face all brought to life through my photos, videos and our very own penguin drawing created during our time together. (Your completed artwork at the end will form part of a global penguin conservation project.) Most importantly: by participating in this experience, you will be directly contributing to the conservation of African penguins. This can be added to your home-school schedule as a biology, conservation, and art class, or it can be a fun way to connect as a family celebrating a special event or as a corporate team working remotely. Book a Private Experience for just your group or contact me for dates and times not shown. No matter your age, the story of our African penguins will enthrall you and definitely leave you with a new appreciation for penguins being more than just cute waddlers.

  • Kayaking in the heart of Cape Town
Cape Town's natural beauty is world-renowned, however, few have experienced its sights and sounds from the fresh blue water of the Atlantic Ocean. Leaving our base at the calm waters of the V&A Waterfront, you will paddle into the fresh movement of the ocean where you will encounter our active marine life and possibly catch a glimpse of some local dolphins, whales, seals, penguins and sunfish! You will also witness unique views of Lion's Head, Signal Hill and our local shipwreck. The tour will then be ended off with a breathtakingly photogenic view of Cape Town's treasure, Table Mountain. No previous experience needed. Set your senses free on our 2 hour Sea Kayak Tour, your outlook of Cape Town will be positively changed forever! Other things to note I advise you to wear something to paddle in that's comfortable when wet, as well as a change of dry clothes, a towel, sunscreen, water and a hat. Bring a windbreaker if you have one available. Please kindly take note, kayak capacity 100kg max weight per person.

  • Bo-Kaap : Walk with a local
We start the tour at 71 Wale Street where we discuss the origins of the oldest suburb in South Africa. Our walk then takes us past the Auwal Mosque, which is the oldest mosque in South Africa, which was started by enslaved people in defiance of Dutch law, in 1794 . We stop along the way and grab a koesiester, before walking down the street with all the colourful houses. This is the most-photographed street in South Africa. We then work our way towards Cape Town’s famed spice shop, Atlas, where you will smell the heady aromas of spices used in everyday Cape Malay cooking. These are the same spices used by slaves as an expression of freedom in their masters’ kitchens.
