Cindy’s place was perfect for our mini vacation. She has really thought about everything you will need for it to feel like home. The location is in a peaceful neighborhood and close to restaurants and Krogers (about 10 minutes away). The kids (7 &9 year old) LOVED the Thornton park (right down the street) which has small playground, splash pad, and tennis/pickleball/basketball courts. We went hiking at Starved Rock and Matthiessen park (dells area). Both are popular areas so recommend heading out early to get good parking. We went to Starved rock on a mild rain day and hardly anyone was there which was awesome! Went to Matthiessen park on a good weather day and we had to walk a decent distance to get to the trail but it didn’t bother us. Both places have a lot of stairs ( Starved rock has more) but it was so worth to us. Highly recommend staying at Cindy’s place and would stay again if we are ever in the area.
