Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Norte Region

This is a very special place with beauty everywhere you look including the architecture of the house utilising the natural materials of the region to blend into the landscape. Francisca cooked us a delicious three course meal including wine, delivered on a tray on our first night what a treat ! On Francisca’s recommendation we had a very authentic wine and food tour with Bambuti Tours we were overwhelmed with Portugal hospitality for the day and Viewed some amazing scenery, a great way to explore the valley. Casa Do Largo is situated in some of the most beautiful scenery in the valley and we enjoyed a whole day there , with a walk to the beautiful river first then a day enjoying the pool and the most comfortable home. This has been our favourite spot in Portugal and we would highly recommended you book it for at least 3 nights.

The house is renovated and very comfortable, we would have liked to have realized from the description that the outdoor area is far from the house.

Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

Beautiful peaceful location in a traditional village with outstanding host who made us feel very welcome. Fábio was always on hand to help and organised a wine tour and lunch in a local restaurant for us which was absolutely fabulous - we never felt rushed and it was extremely interesting. Fábio has worked hard to make this a place with a personal touch. Have no hesitation in recommending this place and would love to come back again.

I was very well received by Marta, who showed me the house and left food for my first breakfast, including homemade jam and fruit from the orchard. The location of Casa da Eira is fantastic, with beautiful views over the bay of the Douro river, a large patio with the same view and right next to the pool. The infinity pool is stunning with a view of the river and is large. The entire property is very well cared for with gardens and fruit tree plantations; the size of the property provides walking tours and nooks to rest without leaving the place. The house itself has all the amenities and is very comfortable, with a covered balcony that gives you the feeling of being in a tree house. Marta's kindness (who even offered me plums from the farm's production), the location and amenities, make this accommodation an ideal retreat for true rest, whether you go alone or as a family. I'll be back.

excellent stay, only issue was with sleeping as the double bed mattress had plastic wrapping which can be noisy. no washing machine. Definitely would stay again.

We stayed for one week in June with our dog. It was a wonderful experience: - Village: it's a tiny village with a few people. If you want to recover from the city noise it's a perfect place. There is no bars or shops, so be prepared and take all the necessary food with you. People are nice. There are a lot of cows! They are friendly and beautiful. - House territory: it was the most beautiful view from the house that I've ever saw - giant mountain in front of every window. Super calm. Territory has a fence, it was enough for our dog to stay inside but there are holes so be prepared if your dog tends to run away. There is a bbq outside. - House: it was just awesome - everything you need you will find: enough of blankets, pillows, comfortable coach, dishwasher. Cooking pans are not the best, but enough. I liked the interior very much - it's a lot of space in the living room, giant dining table, in one of the bedrooms you have mountain view. Strongly recommend. Thank you!

This is the second year we've visited this place. There is something magical about it and, especially for those who work in the city, it is the perfect place to disconnect. It gives us health and makes us dream. I highlight once again the pool and the view. Waking up with a view of the valley is sensational. The house has all the conveniences and is very well equipped. The space is clean and very cozy. I hope to come back next year.

I've stayed in many places around the world, but Conceição has been the best host to date, very friendly and helpful. The house is very well taken care of, and we feel totally welcome.

We really enjoyed staying in Sousas apartment. Nice and clean. Big bedroom and bathroom with a super nice shower. Everything was new and the elevator right into the apartment was a nice feature. We liked the neighbourhood with supercool restaurants close by and most sights in easy walking distance. Thank you for hosting us.

What can I say - from start to finish we had a great time at Aqua Villa Madalena. Our purpose for coming here was to attend Rally Portugal. The apartment was central to where we needed to go to see the stages of the Rally. Apart from this, the apartment was exceptional - so clean. Sonia as a host was so responsive and always available when needed ( which I hope wasn't too often for her!) Our children really enjoyed the pool, the place was so peaceful and quiet! An all-round fantastic holiday! Thank you so much Sonia and family!!! Hopefully we will visit again another time!

We were seduced by this exotic, quiet and beautiful place! From the accommodation to the outdoor facilities, everything was great! our 11 and 6 year old children also enjoyed the place. Great hospitality from the host, we already know in advance that we will be back!!

Very peaceful place in a beautiful landscape. Room is spacious and was perfectly clean and well furniture. Host was very nice and welcoming.

Manuel and Fernanda are very pleasant, hospitable hosts, attentive to all our needs, full of generosity. Indeed, the kitchen table was full of gifts: 8 traditional Portuguese cod fritters, a whole container filled with juicy and sweet orange, 4 pastels de nata and to top it off, a bottle of port. The apartment was in an impeccable state. My wife and I highly recommend it for lovers of a quiet and heavenly little corner.

Quiet place. Great for getting out of the city and distracting your mind. I slept very well, no noise. Whirlpool works well. Only microwave and barbecue so I took my portable electric oven to cook.

Very hospitable and close hosts. They facilitated the stay as much as possible and very attentive if we needed anything.

We are very very thankful to Helena and Luis. They are very sweet, helpful and amazingly kind. We felt right at home in this absolute stunning place. It is a bit difficult to find, but Helena was a great help. We LOVED it and enjoyed it to the max! We will be back for sure!

This is a stunning place secluded away from anything nearby. Great for a retreat to be restful, listen to nature and admire the beautiful horses. Cheila was an incredible host, super responsive to any questions or comments and gave us some beautiful lemons from her tree. The house is really well throughout and all amenities are included. It was a fantastic stay. I was very surprised. The photos are good, but the place still surprises you in a very good way.

When we arrived at the property we immediately felt relaxed and at peace - the view is simply incredible ! The outside terrace is big with beautiful views and plenty of seating, a BBQ, heated lamps etc. Inside is spacious - a good kitchen, a lovely record player, lots of sofas. The location is great - you are so close to so many amazing outdoor activities - we really enjoyed exploring the rivers, mountain walks and the Lagoons ! Many thanks !

the house is private with amazing views, miguel and his cousin were both very friendly and even offered a late checkout. even with cloudy weather the pool stayed warm enough to enjoy.
