King bed, private bathroom, view of river

ChristinaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Tom was a great host! His place is in a stunning location—peaceful, scenic, and truly worth the journey (just know the road there is a bit more difficult than you probably expect!). I highly recommend you download the offline maps on Google Maps to find it without cell service. Once you arrive, though, it's all worth it. The surrounding nature is beautiful, and the on-site wildlife (tortoise, raccoon, foxes, etc.) made the stay even more special. A unique and memorable experience—highly recommend!

Last Hurrah Main House

YoussefRating, 5 stars2 days ago
If I could give more than five stars, I would. Staying at this Airbnb was unlike anything we’ve ever experienced — it felt like stepping out of Earth and landing on another planet. From the moment we began our journey to the property, crossing the awe-inspiring Hurrah Pass, we knew we were in for something truly extraordinary. The drive alone is worth the trip — an unforgettable blend of raw adventure and jaw-dropping desert scenery that makes your soul feel alive. And then… you arrive. Nestled in what feels like the heart of Mars, this home sits in one of the most surreal and stunning landscapes we’ve ever laid eyes on. Towering red rock formations surround you. The Colorado River flows quietly nearby. There’s nothing but nature, silence, and beauty — it’s like the world stands still here. No noise. No distractions. Just peace, inspiration, and a reconnection with what truly matters. It’s not just a stay — it’s a reset for the spirit. Tom, the host, is an absolute legend. Truly one

Base Camp, queen bed, view of Anti-Cline

Staying at Base Camp Adventure Lodge was a highlight of our trip to the Moab area. I loved being the first one up in the morning and taking the camp chair from our patio to the front of house looking down at the river and reading as the sun came up - so incredibly peaceful. We also had a great time going on a hike, kayaking, and taking our jeep out to Chicken Corners (we went in the morning and had the drive and view all to ourselves for the first hour, so gorgeous!). The room was cozy and clean, and the view out the window on this room is beautiful. We bought groceries in town, cooked out on the grill, and enjoyed eating at the table on the front porch. The location is amazing and it is incredible to have such a beautiful spot almost to yourselves, just be prepared with your food and a driver who is comfortable along roads that get close to the edges of some cliffs (we took about 1.5 hours to do it, just play to stay out here once you arrive!) Thanks for a great stay, Tom!

Base Camp, queen bed, view of river

This lodge was amazing. You definitely need to have some adventure in your soul and nerves of steel to make the trek to basecamp but you will not be disappointed. I could write a book on this place about how much we loved it. This is a bucket list trip that cannot be missed. Tom is a great host and we felt right at home. It was hard to leave which just means we will make our way back someday. If you visit, make sure you have a solid 4x4 vehicle, bring ice and food for the amount of days you are staying. The trek into to town and back is one hour at least each way. Maximize your time at basecamp by bringing everything you need with you. This is an experience that cannot be missed.
