Vacation rentals with a sauna in Mendip District

Lovely stay at Willow Warbler. The estate is beautiful & maintained to a high standard. Very peaceful. The apartment had everything we needed including extra touches like milk, travel cot, washing machine & dishwasher tablets, plenty of cooking equipment, tea bags, oil for cooking etc. There is a nice restaurant & pool on site. We didn’t use the gym as the opening hours weren’t early enough (10-5 so we were out for the day). We travelled with a 9 month old but there looked to be lots of things for older children such as soft play, water sports & play ground. Lots of bird watching to be done. Jane was very good at communicating with us & checking everything was ok. We used the apartment as a base to go out for the day such as to Oxford & Bourton but the apartment is very comfortable if you prefer chilling. Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet relaxed break.

Tony is an AMAZING Host! Super pro active, communicative, Nice and a very good driver! I have booked it for solscite in stonehenge and it wouldnt be the same without Tony’s support during our stay. Will definitely come back soon… THANK YOU TONY AND ROSEMARY

Place is lovely and quiet on a country lane. Owners Mark and Lavinia are very helpful and friendly. Loved the peacocks and their dog Lyra. Great location to drive out each day to explore the area from Bath up to the Cotswolds.

Aaron had made sure we had everything we needed including phone chargers which came in handy. The flat was very spacious, homely and well located. As a host Aaron was quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall a great stay.

Our stay was amazing, very quiet, beautiful surroundings, the Property was much bigger than expected we made use of the spa and sauna. Felt very relaxed after our stay. Thank you.

We had an absolutely fantastic time staying with Tony and Rosemary. Tony and Rosemary were extremely welcoming and friendly. It really feels like we had known them well for years. Tony was extremely knowledgeable of all matters. He gave as great recommendations as to where to visit. Tony and Rosemary really made us all feel as if we were at a home from home. We would love to stay with Tony and Rosemary again. We had the best of stays with them. Tony and Rosemary really made the stay, next level. Tony has a great sense of humour too. I highly recommend to anybody. Everything was perfect and pristine. We miss the place already! Thank you both so much and we all hope to see you both again, some day.

I had a birthday weekender with friends and the apartment is really lovely and suited us perfectly. Not just clean, but comfortable too with everything you need. The host is great and helpful. It all made the stay so much more enjoyable. 100% would recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely apartment in Cardiff! The place was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The location couldn’t have been better as you’re in walking distance to Cardiff bay and Cardiff centre! Tony was absolutely wonderful—friendly, incredibly responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. It made a real difference knowing we could reach out with any questions and get a prompt, kind response. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and peaceful setting. The pool and activities room and playgrounds were wonderful. You could book private sessions in the pool although we also found the communal sessions generally weren’t busy and we often had the pool to ourselves. It was perfect for our daughter as it wasn’t too deep which really helped her build confidence at swimming. We loved playing table tennis and badminton with our older child while the plentiful toys (especially the pedal tractor) kept the little one very happy! Lots to do in the surrounding area, although the peaceful/remote location meant they were all a fair drive away. Apartment was as pictured. It had everything we needed and was always warm- important for October half term break!

We had a great stay at Helen’s apartment! It is in a great location (5mins walk to Cardiff Bay & 15mins walk to Cardiff Centre), has lots of space and, although on a big complex, it is very quiet & peaceful. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a large dining space to enjoy meals as a big group! The only thing to be aware of if you are visiting with friends is that there are only two parking permits available (not Helen’s fault) and off road parking is quite far away &/or expensive if you have more than 2 cars. Helen is a great host. She’s really responsive to messages & gave lots of really helpful instructions for finding the property & checking in/out. She was also able to accommodate our request for 4 single beds which we were so grateful for in the heatwave!

Such a great property. The house itself is very nice, spacious and thoughtfully put together. The pool, sauna and sauna are amazing. Would thoroughly recommend.

Suus was an extremely responsive host and the accommodation was as described. I requested flexibility in check-in/check-out, which in the end we didn't need, but Suus was willing to help with this if provided enough notice. A very comprehensive guide was provided that was specific to the house and general area which had everything we needed for our stay. The house is really well equipped, which was fortunate as with the rain we ended up spending most of our stay in the house. I can't speak much to the activities provided in the area as we unfortunately were not able to partake in most of them, but I would highly recommend calling to book into the indoor pool when the bookings open the day before. I managed to book easily when I called ahead, but we were not able to get any slots trying to book on the hour or as a walk-in. The local area is easy to navigate with a car, but not the easiest to get to by public transport. I would recommend noting the local taxi numbers if not driving.

Kate was a fantastic host, communication was excellent, she responded to any queries very quickly and provided detailed information about the house and the area including recommendations for local restaurants. The house was also perfect, we had a lovely time celebrating my 30th birthday and enjoyed watching the sunset in the hot tub with a glass of bubbly! The house has everything you need and is suitable for all ages, would highly recommend staying here, the views of the lake are stunning! Thank you Kate for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

Lovely property, top host and perfect site that the property is located on. The only comment I would have is the Spa is ran by an angry woman called Abbie and she is what I would describe as a fun sponge. If you plan to use the spa, be ready for it and it’s a real shame you are limited on time at the spa pools (but this is nothing to do with this property) They also have a hot tub coming soon, shame we missed it but we will be back!

This has to be the most eclectic house we have stayed in as a family, but it provided constant entertainment and sparked imaginations. There is lots of room inside for 9 people a dog and a baby. The separate dining area and sittings rooms allowed people to be together and have private time. The garden area available was small for a large gathering but Barry was willing to open up further garden to us on asking. The sauna was a nice touch. There were enough bathrooms and the kitchen was equipped and functional The house is old as it says in the descriptions so if you have difficulty climbing stairs it would not be for you. The layout and contents of the house are not toddler friendly. There is no onsite parking, but the car park is a short distance away. The village is quaint and the coop very near by. We can recommend the tea shop, and would recommend booking early is you want to eat in the pub next door. There are lots of walks nearby and buses to other villages.

Cath and Mike were great hosts! Very friendly and chatty. Happy to respond to any queries and gave us full reign of the amenities. Their place is beautiful and the annex is lovely. Scenery is amazing and peaceful. The annex itself was clean, everything worked as it should, nice hot shower and a comfy bed. It definitely helps to have a car as there isn’t too much within walking distance, but great if you want escape for a few days! We visited the nearby spa for an afternoon and even took a trip to Cheddar gorge, but Cath and Mike were always quick to respond for any recommendations as well. Thank you both we had a lovely time!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Monk’s Farm. What an incredible property it is! Gemma was super helpful and responsive and I couldn’t recommend staying here more. Wow - amazing!
