The hosts were friendly and accommodating. Our flight was delayed and we didn't arrive until past 2am. They were very cool and flexible about it, although we felt awful. They were chatty, but not overwhelmingly so. The apartment is HUGE and lovely. Highly recommend this listing. Thank you!

Outstanding Airbnb. The room was spacious, fridge was stocked with bottled water and soda. Nice little kitchenette area. Cozy wonderful sitting area near the fire place looking out at gorgeous serene gardens. We spent hours on the patio! Bed was super comfy and quality linens were appreciated. Clean bathroom with toiletries and thick large towels. Loved all the art work, stained glass and collection of books. Guest book with recommendations was very thorough. Looking forward to returning next summer! Greg and Fred were great hosts!!

I loved staying at Douglas' home on Lake Monona. I was able to sit on his dock and watch the sunset. What a gorgeous setting. Riding his bicycle over to the park on the other side of the bay was a treat as well. I was able to walk to a cafe this morning that had great coffee with a view of the lake. What an oasis!

Brisbane House: Restored Historic Country House

Such a beautiful stay! The wow factor when you pull up is just the start! We had the most amazing time and made so many wonderful memories staying at this beautiful historic home. From seeing fireflies in n the evening to morning coffee on the beautiful screen porch, we had the most wonderful family adventure. The third floor was setup perfectly for our twin girls in one room and our son in the other! Town of spring green close by was a family favorite and we had some amazing dinners/lunches there. 100% recommend you try this stay. Make sure to have good bug spray and you are set! Thanks so much to Sam and Bruce for sharing this wonderful place with us all!

Haney's Tavern

Haney's Tavern is a beautiful home that has been lovingly restored from an old tavern by the owners. There is a wonderful book that explains the home's unique history and pictures of the restoration process. The updated home is fully modernized but furnished with well crafted rustic furniture. There was plenty of space for a large family and an expansive backyard/farm with an orchard, chicken coop, and bridge that crosses an large stream. We were surprised by extent of the supplies in the kitchen. It had everything we needed for our cooking and entertaining, and was well stocked with supplies. The owners were extremely nice, easy to talk to, and very helpful during the whole process. I would highly recommend this place to a family staying between Madison and Spring Green looking for a charming home in a beautiful setting and with an interesting history.

Country Sportsmans Paradise! Near Devils Lake!

Apple Maps couldn’t find the address that was provided and took us to the wrong location. After googling the address we did arrive and notice that at the property there is an “S” in front of the numbers and that was not provided to us. It was also stated that there was AC but it was a portable ac unit that we would have had to set up if we wanted to use it and only knew about that after messaging the host. The service was pretty spotty and couldn’t get any tv signal. Thankfully there were a few DVDs provided for us to watch. However, the host was extremely responsive and kind, the home was beautiful and clean and comfy we left a day early only due to the rain that wouldn’t stop. We would stay again if we are out in the area but would be more prepared and bring games and movies!
