Lake~Paddleboards~Hot Tub~Firepit~BBQ

AnnaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We had a great time at joeys place! Lots of fun and the backyard area is really big and open with great space to relax. One of the bedrooms is completely separated from the house, which was great for us because I meant my sister didn’t have to hear our toddler wake up at 6am ;) The stairs to the downstairs bedroom are as described- steep and narrow, so just have to be extra careful if you have any very young mobile kids with you. We just blocked off with the provided baby gate and put a piece of furniture in front for extra safety and it was fine. Joey was so responsive and helpful, even provided us with extra kid friendly recommendations and a high chair for our stay.

Views, views, VIEWS! I Hot tub I Peaceful 3 acres

AndrewRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place was perfect for our Spartan Race weekend. The house was spotless, super comfortable, and in an ideal location for everything we had planned. What really stood out were the thoughtful touches—handwritten notes, snacks, and all the little extras that made it feel like home. The host was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Plenty to do in the area, and we couldn’t have asked for a better setup. Highly recommend!

This cabin is so cozy and quiet. Just a quick drive to town to get groceries or food. Within an hours drive to many great attractions. The host was great. They sent recommendations months in advance and also again a day or so before arrival. They were extremely responsive to any questions. The property and house were a dream for those looking to get away and disconnect for awhile while still having wifi and fun entertainment options at the property.

Were were there a very short period for a military graduation, so did not get to experience all of what the location has to offer. The home was perfectly described—spotless, very comfortable, convenient, tastefully, and thoughtfully maintained for guests. Jacquie was very responsive, enthusiastic and friendly! Would stay again for sure!. Thank you, Jacquie!

We loved our stay here. Our family of 4 stayed for 5 nights and we were so well taken care of by Kristen at her cabin. We had every necessity provided for us. She thought of everything and it really made us feel less stressed. No trips needed for toilet paper/paper towel or anything that we needed in the kitchen. This stay really was above and beyond. The location was great and allowed us to hike and explore new places. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

The Little House at RRCOS -Escape- Amazing views!

BethanyRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The little house was a great stay! Very close to Red Rocks Canyon Open Space and Garden of the Gods. We saw deer in the evenings out in the field. The neighborhood is very quiet. We never heard any of the people around us during our stay. The road going up to the driveway is a bit steep and I scraped the bottom of my car if I didn't get the right angle. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved the coffee bar! Overall it was very nice and we would definitely stay here again in the future!

A very quaint and comfortable stay! The pipe ladder and loft were a little scary at first, but you get used to it quick! I would just ensure that you are able bodied and comfortable with sleeping on a loft with no railing. It ended up being a lot of fun! The Airbnb was well equipped and I loved the guest book. I was so impressed by the place. Jacquie is an amazing host. There is a beautiful view of Pikes Peak from the street. It’s easily walkable to downtown Colorado Springs! You are in the backyard of another Airbnb, which ended up being a very cool experience for us. We connected with the people staying in the other Airbnb and that was fun! I would love to stay here again next time I’m in town.

Your guide to Manitou Springs

All About Manitou Springs

Just west of Colorado Springs at the foot of Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs is famous for its natural mineral springs and lush mountain scenery. True to its name, the town has eight naturally carbonated springs — each with its own distinctive taste — that drip from drinking fountains located in the city center. Beyond its homegrown bubbly, Manitou Springs is known for its proximity to some classic Colorado high-country adventure, be it incline hikes at Pikes Peak or whitewater rafting the Arkansas River.

Many of the buildings in Manitou Springs date back to the 1900s, when the town became popular as a resort. In the 1960s, artists flocked to the area, igniting the town’s artsy enthusiasm. Today, Manitou Springs boasts a number of lovely galleries as well as a monthly art walk. There are also plenty of local shops and restaurants to explore, including an old penny arcade that features vintage games and rides.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Manitou Springs

There’s no bad time to secure a cabin in Manitou Springs. For outdoor enthusiasts, the town is at its best in summer, when temperatures are warm enough to enjoy whitewater rafting and hiking. In June, you can experience the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, which started in 1916 and features drivers racing up the mountain. Manitou Springs is particularly stunning in the fall, when the trees turn golden and the air is crisp. For a truly unique event, check out the Emma Crawford Coffin Race in October, named for a dead woman whose coffin allegedly slid down the mountain after a rainstorm. Winters are snowy and windy with temperatures often hovering below freezing. But this is a great time for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. February’s annual Mumbo Jumbo Gumbo Cook-off & Carnival Parade serves up a gumbo contest along with a traditional parade to celebrate Carnival.

Top things to do in Manitou Springs

Miramont Castle Museum

The Miramont Castle Museum is Housed in a supposedly haunted 1890s Victorian dwelling, this castle illustrates the vibrant history of the area. The enormous 30-room home features an art collection by local artists, as well as many other artifacts and furnishings from the late 19th century. The castle also has stunning gardens and a Victorian tearoom.

Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway

This railway offers a 3.5-hour round trip up Pikes Peak. Founded in 1891, this cog rail offers stunning views of the mountain from its handsome red train. When you arrive at the 14,000-foot summit, you’ll find a visitors center, complete with an outdoor terrace, dining options, free Wi-Fi, and an interpretative exhibit space.
