Family-friendly vacation rentals in Manistee

We loved our stay in this beautiful house! It's even better in person than the photos - and the photos are pretty great! Perfect location - peaceful and secluded but not far from anything. Melissa was amazing and communicated quickly when any question arose - we were able to check in early and check out late which was an awesome benefit with wine in the car! The amenities are perfection: such a well-stocked kitchen and a pristinely clean bathroom. The bed was so comfortable and the character throughout this lovely old granary really made it a stand out. The location is central to many wineries, breweries and great restaurants - we never felt far from anything but it was so quiet and peaceful to be surrounded by fields and so much green! The hot tub was an amazing bonus and we used it on an unexpectedly cold May night. Over the top amazing place to stay. Beautiful, comfortable and adorable! Seth and Kelsey were outstanding hosts and my husband and I were so impressed, these two should give lessons on how to be the perfect hosts!!! The food was amazing and they also slipped in a little birthday surprise for me. The property was so well maintained and the hot tub and fire pit were a welcome surprise and we enjoyed meeting other guests fixing s’mores!! I forgot to sign the guest book so will be back soon!!

Absolutely loved the location of this rental! It was like a 3 minute walk over to the yellow chair. So, so easy! The condo is also fully stocked with anything you might need for cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is decorated super cute, was clean and very accommodating. We would stay here again for another ski trip.

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin in the woods! The hot tub was perfect to relax and enjoy the nature around. We seen several deer on the property. The house was accommodating and had all the basics. We appreciated the firewood as the days and nights were chilly and we love to cook on the fire. Communication with the owners was easy with quick responses.

This was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. The house is in a quiet area with easy parking and views and an easy walk to the bay. Check-in was simple, with Kate providing great instructions for the keypad to let ourselves in. The house was cozy with all amenities as described, and we felt right at home. All the Traverse City attractions were easy to get to, and Kate provided great recommendations. We had an awesome time and would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay! The listing was exceptionally clean and amenities were as described. We enjoyed the location and having a coffee shop and (delicious) burger joint in walkable distance was a great bonus! The view of the beach and water right off the private balcony was wonderful and having a heated pool/hot tub combo right on property made this an ideal booking for our family. We’d come back and would recommend to others!

This was such a great stay! Super close to Sleeping Bear but accessible to Traverse City and Leland so it was just what we wanted! The place was very clean, quiet, and comfortable.

The place is lovely and worked well for my family. The cost of a two night stay doubled w tax, cleaning fees, etc. We almost cancelled due to the final cost for two nights. Is it possible to offer short stays the option of cleaning themselves to eliminate that cost?

Larry and Kristin were very communicative throughout the process. The cabin and location itself was well worth the price we paid. My family and I enjoyed the cabin, the scenery, and the lake. I really enjoyed and appreciated the privacy and location of the cabin. Lastly, I was very excited about being close the lake, and my son and I enjoyed walking the beach every evening. We had a great time!

I honestly believe this is just about the nicest Airbnb that I have stayed in over the last 10 years. The home has a wonderful layout and the backyard with the treehouse, deck and fire pit is makes for such a relaxing experience. The kitchen has absolutely everything you will need. The beds are super comfy. Lauren was quick to respond and very helpful. We will be back!

This was a great place to stay! We loved the location and the fenced in yard made bringing our dogs with us even better. My husband and I had a great time spending New Years playing pool in the basement. The location was so convenient to town but so quiet and private- we loved watching all of the deer outside. Just a small hiccup with check-in, as the key was not where the host had indicated, but it ended up working out after a while.

Fred's View is a nostalgic and cozy cottage in one of the most beautiful areas in Michigan. Staying there brought back childhood memories of summers spent in the area. I highly recommend it!

We lo ved our stay at the cottage. Spider Lake is lovely and very relaxing. Nikki was very communicative leading up to and during our stay. We would absolutely want to book it again .

So happy with all aspects of our stay and would highly recommend this home rental! Kristi is one of best AirBNB hosts we have ever interacted with - you cannot go wrong choosing her place. One tip - when going to the Leelanau side - allow more time for travel than you would think. It's not far, but there's almost always heavy traffic (especially with the current construction that is going on).

David's place was pristine and the setting was picturesque! The view from the living room was spectacular and the beach was incredible! The kitchen was well equipped and I honestly have no complaints. A few additional details that might be noteworthy to some: - phone was in SOS mode, but the wifi had great coverage and was speedy - as expected, lots of stairs to the beach, I believe it was around 75 steps - the beach had almost no rocks, it was nearly all sand. So if you're looking for a good rock hunting beach, you'll have to go up north to Summit Park, just south of Ludington (~25 min drive, but it was a beautiful drive!)

We had a wonderful weekend and totally enjoyed the Condo. It was clean, organized and we felt right at home. We most definitely would stay there again. It was perfect!! Thank you so much for allowing us to rent from you. It was nice to have a home, instead of just hotel rooms. Excellent experience.

We loved the location of this condo and proximity to the beach. The condo was clean and worked perfectly for our family vacation.

As always the place is beautiful , clean and well managed. Ben is communicative and friendly as well as the staff that help out. If you’re looking for a place close to the beach with easy access to food, parks and the outdoors this is the place.

This is our second time staying here. Super clean and lots of stuff to use while at the property!. Beautiful location and quick access to the beach. Also noticed the new floors and furniture. We plan on making this our go to place to stay when in Manistee!

I’m not sure I’m the correct rater for this review. Todd was a peach, there are some things left to be desired if you’re vacationing, though I’m sure those wouldn’t matter then. I 3 month’d it here and it was nice. I had a few issues, he was easily accessible. No cleaning fee is nice. The large paragraph welcome text was necessary and appreciated. I think it’s a great place for a weekend or short trip; extended stay wise also good if you can adapt. (Travel nurses) Don’t know the daily rate but off season monthly rate is definitely worth it. You can bring your own appliances, there is a reasonable amount of storage. Came prestocked. Again I’m not the best reviewer of a vacation property. 10/10 points for the pride welcome mat.

My 4 kids, husband and I have been coming to Shanty creek resorts for over 10 years. This is the first time we stayed somewhere other than the resort hotels. We enjoyed we were able to bring our dog on this trip, we had a kitchenette, and we did more in the area because we had to drive ourselves. This gave us a chance to explore and save more money. By staying in a place more reasonable than the hotel and we were able to cook ourselves and didn't have the added expense of a dog sitter. 4girls sharing one bathroom worked out better than I thought. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you The Ramsey family

We had an amazing time at Jenna’s place. Everything went perfectly and the house was beautiful and in a great location. 10/10 would recommend to others looking to stay!!
