Vacation rentals with lake access in Makarska Riviera

This is by far the nicest place we have stayed in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The beautiful house and gorgeous, serene setting made this a place a dream to relax. And Marko’s hospitality and attention to detail really made this a special getaway vacation. The house was spotless, the pool pristine, and the beds and other furniture were comfy. We really hope we can return soon. We highly recommend!

This stay could not have been better. The house offers everything you could need and Ive is a generous and welcoming host. We were given some home-made wine shortly after arriving and even treated to a meal in Sinj. This was a brilliant place and we would happily stay again. Excellent in every way.

We really enjoyed our five night stay at Ružica's home! We felt very welcomed on arrival by personal touches from Ružica and her daughter. Our three boys (12, 10 and 4) loved being right next to the water, with the use of a kayak and paddleboard. Spending time on the lake in the morning & evenings made our stay really memorable and relaxing. The apartment has everything you need with special touches such as comfortable beds, dishwasher and lots of toys for the kids. It is quiet, feels away from the main tourist area, is an extremely family- friendly option and a really nice space to come back to at the end of the day. We did day trips to beautiful beaches and also visited Dubrovnik which we highly recommend, even with 3 kids in tow! Thank you again Ružica! Rebecca, David & the boys

Mario and his family are great, warm and welcoming hosts! We felt like at home! The apartment is great, gorgeous terrace behind, unexpected and way much better then in the pictures! All the rest is as described, clean, well equipped and comfortable. Note there are no mosquito nets, get prepared for alternative defense. We would decinitely recommend :) and come back!

Absolutely perfect in every way a stunning place to stay so much space to chill inside and out everything you need is there which is a first for us . And the cleanest place we have stayed too . Unexpected gifts of wine and chocolates and meat and cheese too . We had kayaks so was brilliant to launch them from the one minute walk from the private lake access. Marijana so friendly and professional explained everything in five minutes to us without feeling rushed . This is a genuine honest review and can’t recommend it highly enough . We stayed at 2 villas in this village during our stay and this one was by far the superior. The layout of the house is brilliant and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. We've never had a salt water pool but now like it more than chlorine. The pool is a very good size and the addition of an internal seat/shelf is great for days when you want to sit in the water to cool down. The villa had all the utensils needed for a 2 week stay. The location of the villa is good for visiting many of the areas attractions incline the skywalk, zipline, kayaking, Omis and coastal activities such as boat tours. We highly recommend visiting Bosnia during your stay and the restaurant at Eco Selo Grabovica, the food and view are amazing. Finally, the hosts make this villa the fantastic place it is and place it above others in the area. They genuinely want to ensure your stay is positive and go out of their way to help. Zvonko cooked us the best meal of our whole stay and we recommend this villa to anyone.

We’re so glad we chose Boris’s apartment – it truly felt like a home away from home. The place is beautiful, cozy, and had everything we needed. Communication with Boris was kind and easy, and the view of the fortress from the terrace was so beautiful. We felt very welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. The host was incredibly gracious and responsive and we found that any issues that came up during our stay (though there weren't many) were cleared up almost immediately. The apartment was beautiful and clean and we ended up spending more time there because of this. Although the pool was closed because it was chilly outside, we spent our fair share of time in the sauna. Overall, highly recommend! It's a 10-15 minute drive in order to get to any restaurants, and we found that to be the only drawback.

Outstanding location, very responsive and friendly host who has genuinely thought of everything a family on vacation away from home might need. Special thanks to the caretaker Ljubo, a genuinely lovely guy and a pleasure to deal with. All in all, a 10 out of 10 experience!

This is one of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed in. Everything was absolutely perfect. Check in was easy as Mira and her son in law greeted us. The place was extremely clean. The bedroom is upstairs with blackout curtains. There are 2 bathrooms downstairs. Bed was comfortable, wifi worked great, we were able to park our car right outside on the driveway. Mira even left food and beverages in the fridge for us. The apartment and kitchen is very well stocked with anything that you would need. We only stayed a few nights but could've easily stayed a month in this place. I would definitely stay here again!

The welcome we received was excellent, our hosts waited for us very late in the evening because of the delay of our plane. The apartment is very clean and well-equipped, the bedding is comfortable and the view of the water is beautiful. Fruit and drinks were waiting for us in the fridge on arrival. We highly recommend this place.

All as described from previous guests, nothing to add but this: We didn't have a car. The place is 15 min with taxi from the aeroport. A walk of 25 min brings you to a number of restaurants and in 50 min walk you are in Trogir. Heaven for SUP lovers. I had a pleasure of staying at this apartment for a long-term rental during my student exchange. From the very beginning, communication with the host was excellent, he was always very helpful. The apartment itself was exactly as described, it was clean, well-equipped, and in a great location, close to the Žnjan Beach. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a place to stay in Split.

We had a super nice week in Bol. For us with a toddler, this apartment was perfect. On the ground floor, so it was easily accessible with the stroller. Clean, modernly furnished, has everything you need. Just like described in the photos. Beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Just cross the promenade and we were at the beach. We booked right again for next year.

We had a beautiful time at Anita‘s appartement! It truly is a special place. The neighbours and their cats and dog made it even nicer :) The appartement has everything you need and every space is thoughtfully used. Anita gave us a warm welcome and the communication in general was really easy.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the villa. Just what we were searching for, a haven of tranquility. The hosts were delightful, Razu in particular was extremely helpful throughout the entire stay regarding information and supplied us with an array of fantastic meals. We didn't want for anything. There were plenty of things to see and do within a short car journey. I would wholeheartedly recommend Villa Amphora. As most of the other reviews state, it is a truly unique experience. Regarding the one negative review on the website; all I can say is I really don't understand what they found so disagreeable.

Best Vacation Ever!!!! We were enchanted from the moment we drove up to this Adriatic Treasure! I almost hesitate to describe it for fear that all days will be filled immediately and we won’t have a chance to return soon enough! The white pristine marble walkways and terrace provided access to the cold crystal clear water on three sides. The large outdoor area always provided a place of sun or shade throughout the day. Our grandchildren loved playing on the two paddle boards and exploring the outdoors. The AC inside offered an immediate respite when we stepped inside the cool white interior of the home. A treat of food and beverages awaited to our surprise. Totally unexpected! Marko was the perfect host, offering site recommendations including reservations at the scrumptious Sudvic Restaurant nearby. Seafood plucked right from the waters beside it! We are making plans now to try to return to this amazing magical paradise. You should book your vacation here now! You will not regret it!
