Beachfront vacation rentals in Lothian

We had a lovely stay with my elderly parents. It was perfect for their needs. We took the wheelchair along the path to the station pub.. Great beach access for our dog. The hosts messaged me back right away when I had a query. A lovely 4 days.

Jennifer’s cottage is a great base to explore the beautiful Fife coast. The property was very well equipped and there was convenient parking in a free car park just behind the cottage. Many thanks, Jennifer

Lovely cottage on the harbour. Spotlessly clean with everything you need. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Great location for exploring Fife, we loved area and its history. We even found a few very small Elie Rubies on the beach 😊 We will definitely return.

A spotlessly clean well located house! Amazingly spacious kitchen. Perfect for our 2 night stay. 5 mins walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk into central St Andrews. Really please.

A lovely little cottage in an excellent location - really close to the beach. Very relaxing and well equipped and comfortable. Rhona was really nice and helpful. Thanks for the biscuits and drinks too they were a nice touch. We would definitely like to come back at some point.

A 'home from home' experience in every way. Its the little things that make the world of difference... choccy biccies to have with your coffee or tea & the complimentary toiletries were much appreciated.. they've thought of everything! The apartment is situated in a lovely quiet area yet only a few minutes walk from the centre of "The Ferry" & the beach. This will be my "go to" place whenever I'm back visiting the family... 100%. Thanks to Deyan, we had a smooth check in. The cabin would have been impossible to find without Deyan's clear instructions. The place was squeaky clean and everyone loved it. We did wish we could cut out some plans from our holiday to stay there for a few more days. Absolutely worth the money

Stay at David’s place was great! The area was very close by to the beach. Close to Edinburgh as well so was able to do day trips there. There is plenty to do in the resort as well. The rooms were slightly smaller than expected but didn’t affect us too much.

Fantastic caravan with everything you need for a great holiday. Even had a welcome gift and a few additions to keep the little ones entertained. Caravan feels brand new and has all amenities you could need. Right on the seafront and was perfect Edinburgh marathon weekend as the marathon runs past the front of the park twice. Would highly recommend!

amazing stay! caravan was perfect and had everything I needed, plus more. Was clean and very well looked after Site was lovely and well maintained. . . only cooked, didn't eat out, but the restaurant on site had some delicious smells coming from it. wonderful walks from door step, with some fantastic places only a short drive away. highly recommend staying here

Maggie and her husband were great hosts, we didn't get to meet Maggie, but her husband was a great gentleman and helpful, and we had a lovely conversation with him during check-in. Lovely little home with plenty of space and seating in the living room and the dining area. Smart TV's in almost every room which is lovely. plenty of sunshine and natural light all around. We did check-in on a pretty short notice, Maggie and her husband were responsive and the check-in process was fast. Would definitely recommend and will book again in the future.

Place was spotless and lovely decor throughout nothing a miss beautiful and felt relaxed and at home. G was very helpful, prompt responses to any questions/queries.

We booked this cottage because we were intrigued at all the 5 star reviews and we were not disappointed. A beautiful secluded location right by the sea and very peaceful, just what we were after. It was such a delight waking up to the sound of the birds every morning and opening the door to find the sea right there on the doorstep. The cottage is in a small row of fishermen’s cottages but we hardly saw anyone else the whole time we were there. A magical week all round, thank you Debra and Stuart.

we had a wonderful stay at Faye's this weekend. even though it rained hard, we felt cosy and comfortable in the yurt enjoying the sound on the roof as we dozed off. the gardens are beautiful and the views out to the firth of forth are special. a real slice of paradise Faye and her partner were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed while also giving us privacy to enjoy our stay. thanks for having us

Great cottage, very well kitted out, lovely touches and the previous reviews on the comfiness of the beds was very accurate. We managed to sit out for breakfast in the beautiful garden. Great location, easy to get around. Would recommend a walk down to Pan Ha and some food in the Harbour masters cafe ( book first) We discovered that we had lost the front door key at 9pm on Friday night. Response was so quick it was so appreciated. We had tired kids and just wanted to go back to the house. We got a replacement key within 20 mins! If they will have us back we would definitely book again 😁

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The place was beautifully decorated, equipped with everything you need, and set in a lovely mature garden with a great outdoor seating area. It was easy to get to Edinburgh by bus or Uber, making it a perfect base for exploring the city. We especially loved the proximity to the beach and the variety of local restaurants nearby. Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay close to Edinburgh without being right in the middle of the city.

Kirkcaldy is a nice town to stay in when visiting Edinburgh. Here you get the peace and quiet and the proximity to the sea. Food and drink are much cheaper here and the people are friendly. The thing to keep in mind is that the train one way to Edinburgh costs about 11 pounds per ticket, I recommend to buy tickets with the app Scotrail. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the station from the apartment.

Right from the start Nicola has been an amazing host. Even though we never met physically, she was friendly, professional and extremely pleasant. Everything was communicated in a clear and cogent way. There was an instruction manual, with guides and recommendations, that left nothing to chance ! Getting to Nicola's place was easy and all the directions provided were very helpful. We arrived in the morning but check in was at 3 pm. Nicola was very flexible, allowing us to let us leave our bags and head back to the city where we had things planned. The townhome itself was very neat and clean having a lot of history and character. The view of the estuary (Firth of forth) was beautiful ! If you need a beautiful townhome near the water to relax and enjoy a peaceful few days then this is it. The 43 (from The loan bus stop) bus takes you right into the heart of Edinburgh city (Princess St.) and is very handy. Taxi cab service is good but can prove expensive for some. Highly recommended place!

The apartment proved perfect for our extended stay with convenient access to beaches, town center, and Edinburgh day trips. We're already planning our return visit to this gem.
