Apartment vacation rentals in Lothian

I can't say enough about what gracious hosts Iain and Laurence were! We were only able to stay for one night, but they kindly allowed us to have access to the apartment the entire next day so that we could navigate around Edinburgh with a home base and not have to store our luggage somewhere. The views from the apartment are incredible. It is conveniently located by the Royal Mile and there are so many options for food and drink. Truly, an amazing stay with amazing hosts. 100% reccommend!!

My husband and I stayed here while on our honeymoon and had a wonderful time! The flat is just like the pictures and in a very nice location - easily walkable to all of the things you want to do but just tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Also really close to public transportation, which was nice for getting to and from the airport. The road is peaceful and very quiet at night. Bernard was wonderful, we had flown 20 hours and arrived very early in the morning, he was super flexible with letting us check in early which was truly a life saver for us. Overall, had an awesome experience and would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling to Edinburgh!

Roberta’s place is a perfect seaside getaway with lovely views and ideally located for exploring Fife. Roberta is very friendly and welcoming and we felt supported during our stay.

Marco’s place was all we’d hoped. It has the feel of a high quality hotel but with the freedom and flexibility of self-catering. The location is quiet but the attractions and shops of central Edinburgh are within easy walking distance. The apartment is peaceful, spacious, warm and really well designed for a relaxing stay. The views of Edinburgh from all the windows are impressive. The bedroom is very comfortable. All fittings and equipment seem new and in very good condition. Marco was a very thoughtful and kind host who went out of his way to ensure that our time in Edinburgh went well. We would recommend Marco’s place and hope that we’re able to return before too long.

Just sublime. Gorgeous location, all the necessities within the accommodation itself (I know everyone mentions it, but the care package really made such a difference after a long journey) - dare I say suspiciously cheap, but we left having nothing but a wonderful time. Access to the Pentland Hills a mere 10 minute bus away, Edinburgh not much further. Penicuik was lovely itself - the estate was a lovely evening walk, public transport was excellent, and I won't name names, but we had the best curry we've ever had here. Darrin was responsive, communicative, and the attention to detail just wonderful - leaflets and maps of the local area as suggestions, a first aid kit (came in useful for some post-hike blisters!) - we hope to return as soon as we're able. As a couple that aren't particularly well-off, the cost of Edinburgh accommodation was daunting, and almost wrote off our ability to visit - so thank you for making a wonderful trip possible.

This place offers excellent value for money. The interior is warm and cozy, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights is its location—just a short walk from Arthur’s Seat, which made our hiking experience incredibly convenient. We had a wonderful two-day stay here!

A great location not far from the city centre. The studio had everything you could need and there was clear information prior to arrival. Easy check in. Great place for a solo traveler!

This was the perfect location for visiting Edinburgh!!!!! We were able to explore and drop back to the apartment to grab whatever we needed when we wanted. No need to lug things with you for the day. In 5min we were back “home” to drop things off, pick things up and off to explore again. For being just over a 5min walk from all the major sights, it was very quiet and comfortable. I’d highly recommend Lynn’s place and wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we come back.

If you are looking for a truly memorable experience in London then I highly recommend this place for your stay. You will be hard pressed to find a more accommodating host who will go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are covered and queries answered. I cannot thank Martin and Weng enough for helping to make our stay in London so comfortable and welcoming. Xx

Really enjoyed our time here, places was excellent and Fiona was very responsive and helpful. A mile or so away from the real busy areas which was perfect for us as an easy taxi or a nice walk. Recommended.

We had a great stay at Steven’s place. The apartment is very well located, bright, comfortable and looks exactly as the pictures. Steven is an amazing host and we would definitely stay there again on our next trip to Edinburgh.

What an absolutely beautiful location and apartment. The castle and the grounds are a photographer's delight. The apartment was spacious and amenities plentiful including nice thick towels. We were within a half hour of Stirling and Falkirk and an hour from St. Andrews and Fife. Thank you to Geoff for being so responsive!

it was right on the main drag, easy to find and close to lots to do. It was very secure in that you needed a code to enter the first door off the street and then a code to get into your apartment. The apartment was very nice and enjoyable. The view of the castle from our window was great! The host was very accessible. We would return! Thanks,

Lorne’s place was stunning! We were greeted by a colleague who was so friendly and helpful. The place was perfect for 2 people. It was clean, well decorated and stocked with treats for us. We felt right at home. The location was very walkable to a fun neighborhood and about a 15-20 minute walk to the major sights. We couldn’t ask for a better stay in Edinburgh!

perfect little place to stay for an overnight away, or perhaps for a weekend. Its a 2 minute walk up onto the high street which had plenty of shops/cafes/bars. We had a wedding at the Hydro which was just 5 minutes in a taxi. Would highly recommend Julie's place, we loved it!!

A beautiful and spacious apartment. The bedrooms were very comfortable and well equipped. Very impressive views. It was very easy to get a bus into the centre of Edinburgh. We really appreciated and highly recommend the jacuzzi bath after running the Edinburgh Marathon!! Bulhar was great with communication. Also some extra touches were really appreciated - shampoos,conditioner and shower gel and other toiletries available to use in the bathroom. Also some soft drinks and teas and coffees available as well, which was very generous. Would definitely recommend this lovely apartment.

A truly stunning little piece of paradise. So peaceful, homely and relaxing. We had an amazing time as a family of four with a young child and a baby. We especially enjoyed exploring and playing in the absolutely gorgeous outdoor space. Matt is so genuine, friendly and welcoming. Would really highly recommend a stay here, you’ll love it ❤️

We loved Aimee’s place and would def book again. It was peaceful and calm, clean and tidy and a home away from home with the added bonus of the hot tub. We had a fantastic time :)

We stayed 2 nights at the beginning of our vacation in Scotland. The location was perfect for walking to all the best spots in Edinburgh. Michelle was the person I communicated with upon arrival, she was extremely helpful and very prompt in returning my texts. I would definitely recommend this rental.

Very romantic, comfortable and clean ideal for a weekend away with lovely scenery and trails. Shopping is minimal take what is needed however teas and sugars were provided which was lovely and the hot tub was gorgeous.

I would say this place is definitely a grate we gem 💎 we were so happy here Lorraine was so lovely nothing was a bother and on hand anytime 😊 me and my family will definitely be coming back would hiyly recommend coming here I honestly would pay more .there was snacks and a complimentary bottle of prosseco tea coffee milk 🥛 fabulous 👌 5 star 🌟

Total luxury! Every detail was immaculate and couldn’t of been happier. With shops only a short walk away and plenty of easy street parking in a very nice,safe area, this is a great option for passing through or traveling for work. Loved relaxing in the spa bath at the end of a long days work and washing the jet lag away for a peaceful night sleep. Quick tip, there is no salt or pepper and the milk is only satchels. Plenty of pod coffee in all the flavours.
