Croft41 - Luxurious Accommodation with Hot Tub

We enjoyed a delightful long weekend at Croft 41. The house was perfect for our needs (two families with kids), the location absolutely stunning, and the wood-fired hot tub was also real highlight! Rachel is a very friendly and communicative host. Would definitely return in the future if we were looking to stay in this beautiful corner of Skye.

An absolutely stunning house, with everything you could need. A great location for exploring an amazing island. Una was so helpful with any questions I had and responded very quickly. As a family of 6 (2 pensioners, 3 adults and on teenager) we found the space worked great and the location was lovely.

Norman and Leona are very friendly and great hosts. The cottage was cosy clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is looking out to the most beautiful beach and scenery. 5min walk to beach. If you like peace and tranquility this is the place to stay. It's location is ideal to travel to other parts of the island. Norman and Leona are around if you need help with anything but they do not intrude on your privacy. I would definitely recommend to stay here. Thank you Norman and Leona we had an amazing holiday.

Cottage at Baile na Cille, right by Uig Sands.

StuartRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Wonderful location, right on a beautiful sandy beach. The cottage was really nice with everything we needed. It was a great base to explore Lewis and Harris. As someone who likes to watch birds, there was lots of activity in the area. There are sea eagles in the area, I saw them flying above the cottage 6 out of the 7 days we were there.

Taigh Mòr, Uig, Isle of Lewis

LucyRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This is an absolutely stunning location and the house was very comfortable, and good value for money. There were lots of nice touches; we brought our two year old and there was a cot and highchair available as well as toys, movies and buckets/spades/beach toys. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed. A short walk to several beautiful beaches. Carol Ann was very kind, and responded quickly to messages. Would highly recommend this lovely stay.

Mill View, Gress, Isle of Lewis - Guest suite

DebbieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Magz is an amazing hostess and went out of her way to feed us a 6 star breakfast every morning! The variety of delicious homemade food on offer from breads and cakes to croissants and jams … and I love how she introduced us to the local fare like Scottish oatcakes and crowdie. She was also very informative about places to visit on the island. The only drawback I could find was that the sitting /lounge area was somewhat tight (for 2) and certainly would not be suitable for 4 people (even though the 2 double bedrooms can comfortably accommodate 4).

Bayview Cottage on the seashore nr stornoway

AnneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
All positive comments about this cottage . We had 4 days here to explore Lewis before moving on to Harris . Wonderful compact cosy cottage with fabulous situation looking over a quiet wee bay . Photos on website don’t really do it justice . Very cosy well equipped compact cottage . Immaculately clean and everything you could want provided for . We were met by Tony who explained the workings of the stove and tv etc and gave recommendations of eating places etc . He was immediately responsive when we had a query over the workings of the oil stove . If the weather had been kinder we could have sat out looking over the quiet wee bay but had a lovely walk along it and beyond . We found it a great base to explore Lewis which we loved . Standing stones , black houses, Uig and Tolsta beach and Ness and the Iolaire memorial included . Explored a lot and learned a lot about the island and its history . Right next to the wee airport but we hardly heard a plane . Handy for Stornoway facilities

Tides Uig Isle of Skye

BethanyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed in this house as a party of five (parents + two teenagers + grandpa), and found the house perfectly laid out for a group. Each bedroom has its own en-suite, which was so convenient, and the living area and kitchen had plenty of seating for us to congregate around. The washer and dryer were super helpful for doing laundry (a rack and small fans are provided too, to finish off any clothes still damp from the condensation dryer). We didn't do any super complicated cooking, but the cooking we did was easy with the double oven, stovetop, and dishwasher. The view is unbeatable. Like just something from a postcard. We'd sit down in the morning and mean to turn something on the TV and end up staring out the window instead. We were there during a blustery GALE and the house was still completely airtight and snug, no drafts or anything. Uig is a bit more far-flung (although it has a couple restaurants and a shop), so be sure to plan for groceries and drives accordingly.

Aline Lodge in Aline Estate

KateRating, 5 stars23 months ago
We had an incredible stay at Aline Lodge. The lodge is really beautiful - top marks for all the fires having firewood, firefighters, and matches all ready to go. The electric Aga means the kitchen is always warm, and the view is world class. We went fishing twice (caught 11 trout!), clay pigeon shooting, used the sauna, and played table tennis and billiards. The kids went out on the boat around the loch and saw sea eagles, golden eagles, seals and a porpoise. Robert the gamekeeper was great - really responsive and happy to help. Could not recommend this highly enough - we will be back!

Fioran, Seilebost

AmandaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a wonderful week at your lovely, spacious property,. The dry, sunny weather was an extra bonus The location was fabulous. The house was both comfortable and practical for a large groug and for beach side living. The Welington boots and Crocs were a nice touch and much appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped for a large group with a great view. There was nothing we could fault, but a couple of suggestions to make it even better would be: Clearer instructions for when the bins should go out for collection, 3 of the 4 bins were full when we arrived. A larger casserole with a lid would be useful. The existing large white casserole was cracked. The Neseresso machine did not appear to work. There were two keys in addition to the front and back door keys which we were not sure where to use. A marker on the keys would be useful. The visitor book was full. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back.
