Lake Oconee fishing vacation rentals

If you are looking for a family get together on the lake with beautiful views, this is it. We stayed at the house the entire time, except for a short trip to Eatonton to visit the book store, a gallery and have a smoothie downtown. We made dinners together on the grill and used double oven in kitchen. Everyone played games, swam, fished, canoed and had fun. we had 16 of us from 61 to 1. All bedrooms were spacious and enjoyed having plenty of bathrooms.

We had a great stay. We unfortunately worked very long hours the majority of our stay. But half of our staff stayed here and the 2 organizers of the large event (myself included) got to enjoy a final evening quietly kayaking on the lake -- it was perfect and relaxing.

Really enjoyed our stay as the home was perfect size and my family loved it. Very clean and very well appointed from furnishings to kitchen wares. Hot tub and fire pit were also great along with lake views.

Very peaceful spot with multiple areas to entertain, hangout, play game or relax all of which could be taking place at the same time with no problem what so every. Very nice & accommodation layout for whatever you want your stay to look & feel like. Beds, pillows & linins were very comfortably. Overall great stay and would recommend.

Great location on the lake & close to supermarkets, restaurants, & other shopping. Super convenient. The covered porch & covered dock were perfect if you wanted a break from the sun. The interior of the house was bright & up to date.

We truly enjoyed our stay. Great location and absolutely loved the property! It was so relaxing and peaceful! One of the best vacations ever. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards available. Super close to the water which made it even better. Definitely will be back to stay again

Derek was more the helpful from start to finish. There was nothing I didn't need he didn't have or went out and got. Very respectful and all around great guy. The place it self fit every need I had for my trip and will definitely book again. 5 stars🌟

Susan’s Lake House was perfect for a cozy Christmas. It was beautiful with everything we needed. She was quick to respond when we had a question. We hope to come back during the summer to enjoy the lake!

I was seeking a peaceful, stress-free family retreat. Our group consisted of eight adults. We appreciated that all the rooms were equipped with either King or Queen beds. The property offered multiple private areas for quiet reflection, as well as ample space for group activities such as games and shared meals. Throughout our stay, we did not use the television, preferring to spend our time fishing, relaxing on the dock, or enjoying the outdoor living spaces. We particularly enjoyed the screened-in porch. The only minor drawback was the seating arrangement at the dinner table, which accommodated six people; we discovered this through a photo and brought our own folding chairs to ensure everyone could sit comfortably. Overall, it’s an ideal location for a family seeking quality time together. Highly recommend.

Such a beautiful home and peaceful spot to relax! We take a yearly family vacation to Lake Oconee and this house was exactly what we were looking for this year! Enjoyed sitting on the porch drinking coffee over looking the lake. Beautiful fire pit area! The kitchen was absolutely beautiful. Amanda was a fantastic host! Very helpful and responsive. The home accommodated all of my family perfectly! Will definitely book again!

My family and I had a fabulous time at The Blue Heron. It's a beautiful home with a stunning view of Lake Oconee. Six adults had plenty enough room to relax. We were out of power for part of our stay thanks to Hurricane Helene but that didn't squelch our fun. We ate at Cafe 44 Friday morning / early afternoon- delicious. That afternoon it was nice enough to hang out on dock and swim. We spent the late afternoon on the back porch grilling out and playing games until the sun went down. Not going to lie, that night without power was rough. Saturday we rented a boat from Anchors Marina - very nice people. Spent the day on the water tubing and enjoying the lake. When we pulled up to the house the power was back on!! We cooked dinner in the well-stocked kitchen, everyone was able to enjoy hot showers, and we all slept well in comfy beds. Time spent with family is the BEST! Thank you, Jamie, for sharing your home with us.

This was by far one of my best experiences I’ve had on Airbnb. The home was beautiful, clean and right on the lake. The location was seconds from everything. I would definitely recommend this home to any and everyone!

Perfect little spot for a quick weekend near GCSU. House was peaceful and quiet. It was a rainy weekend in Milledgeville but the view from the sunroom while it rained was peaceful and relaxing. Our son fished for hours off the deck and from the kayak. It was a great spot to stay and attend GCSU graduation events.
