Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Buchanan

When we were searching for a rental home for my husband’s birthday we had quite a few boxes to check. Scott’s home met and exceeded every one of those. The views were great, we didn’t want to leave! It was really close to Spider Mountain where we shredded the trails. The home was super cozy, very tidy, and felt warm. We had everything we needed and the handy binder inside was helpful!

Quiet location. Loved the back porch and watching the wildlife run by. Will definitely consider this spot again if we are in the area.

Great house and the view was amazing. There wasn’t anything close but to do unfortunately and due to the lake being so low, there was no real lake access in the area. The only close food place down the street was closed the whole time we were there. House offered a lot and was very comfortable. There wasn’t anything close construction going on across the street and next door that took away from the peacefulness but that is no fault to the owners. We enjoyed ourselves with what we had. It was nice to just getaway. The pool and pool house was a hit with my kids. Overall it was a nice stay.

Jay's place was absolutely amazing. Very peaceful, clean, comfortable, easy to find and even has neighborhood park with pickle ball, pool and lake access. Close to lake Travis and Austin, but with a private and exclusive feel. The pool was amazing, but most of all the host was very responsive, respectful, friendly and accessible. It overall is a 5 star experience! I would definitely go back and I highly recommend!

Great place to stay, with plenty of room for the 6 of us! The kitchen was equipped with all the cooking utensils, anyone could need! Beds were comfy. We had a great stay!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful cabin on the lake! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated—everything felt warm and welcoming. We spent our mornings sipping coffee on the deck and our evenings enjoying the fire pit under the stars. The location is peaceful and private, yet still close enough to Marble Falls or Kingsland to do something away from the cabin. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and responsive, making check-in a breeze. Every detail was well thought out.

BEAUTIFUL location and home!!! Extremely picturesque, feels secluded and private, the bathroom is gorgeous, all the amenities are perfect and George and Kim were amazing hosts, went above and beyond to make sure we were extremely comfortable and had a great vacation.

I have high rating because although I had trouble finding and getting in, maybe others wouldn't so much. I think extra instructions on how to find the unit now quickly could help. I really wanted to Take a bath and most maybe wouldn't notice, everything looked clean... She offered so kindly to have to cleaned for me. she was very flexible and kind about letting me check out later. The place realy is nice and neat. feels a bit sterile in a way. rugs would definitely be good. overall a nice place to stay. lots of nice Kcups and complimentary things. if I had stayed longer, they had really nice and fun amenities. lots of treats and snacks in the cowork area. realy overall a pretty neat place. spetve out in the open., newer not really any shade trees.

This townhouse was located in a quiet neighborhood which was great for taking walks & seeing wildlife. The newly remodeled unit has a spacious open floor plan with a beautiful kitchen that was well equipped. The first floor is accessible with a master bedroom having a walk-in closet & beautiful bathroom with walk in shower. Upstairs there are additional bedrooms & full bath so this is a great space for a family get away. The beds were very comfortable & each bedroom has a TV. Good variety of restaurants in the area, some where you can watch the sunset on Lake LBJ but recommend making reservations. If you rather just relax there is small patio in the back with a nice BBQ grill. We were in the area visiting family for 10 days & appreciate having a wonderful place to stay that felt like home. Eugene is an outstanding host & very responsive. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Beautiful place to stay. Me, my wife and 2 kids had a wonderful time. We loved being able to eat on the patio and enjoy the view and the lovely weather. The amenities at the tropical hideaway complex are fantastic and great for kids. the big pool has a big shallow area and a good sized deep end so it worked great for us. The condo had just about everything we needed, and although it's a 1 bedroom, with the ottoman bed and the fold out sofa sleeper, we had plenty of room for everyone.

I really loved our stay. It was perfect for our my husband and I, toddler and 2 dogs. They had a pack and play, which we didn’t expect, and the location is pet friendly. There was a dog patch area a few steps away from our room. The main bedroom mattress is a bit uncomfortable, but it was okay for a short stay. The place was very clean, and stocked with the basics.

Erin is a great host - we were particularly impressed with how well maintained and comfortable the house is. It’s also very close to the lake and the marina. This place is so cute and convenient! Everything was very clean and looked just like pictured. Easy to get into, super close to the pool and lake, and there are so many things on the resort to do (at an additional cost) within a 5 or so minute walk. Kitchen had so many different things to cook with and there’s a grill outside. The check out list is also easy to complete, as long as you know where the dishwasher switch is. Definitely recommend this place!

Our family of four absolutely loved our stay! The location is private and peaceful, and while it’s a bit far from Austin and all there is to do downtown, it was the perfect escape for our Spring Break weekend. The condo was cozy, with plenty of games and activities. We enjoyed our time on the patio, played pickleball, spent a lot of time in the hot tub and pool (or reading by the pool at sunset with the most incredible view), and my animal whisperer son got to feed and interact with the deer on site- a real highlight for him!
