Comfortable place, friendly host and an indoor fire place

We had a wonderful stay! We all loved the hot tub under the stars, braaied every night, slept so well in such confortable beds. We would definitely come back and enjoy the peace and tranquility this space has to offer. Thank you Elanda and Staff for such a lovely stay!

We throughly enjoyed our time here! The views of the dam and mountains from every room in the house was incredible! It's definitely not as secluded as it looks in the pictures but on the upside you are a quick 5 min drive into Montagu town. Notes for yourself when packing: -only 1 small firelighter is provided unfortunately (there are many fire areas so make sure to bring extra!) -only instant coffee provided but there is a coffee machine & plunger but you unfortunately need to being your own. - no milk or water is unfortunately provided either other than those few negatives we had an amazing time overall and would definitely visit again! Host was easy to communicate with and provided a beautiful bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary here which was appreciated.

Beautiful peaceful surrounding. Quaint little house in the beauty of the kloof. Loved the hot tub under the trees. Felt like we had walked into a painting. Kitchen had everything we needed and the eating area outside was well lit for our dinner. Beds were clean and comfortable.

A peaceful and well-designed retreat in the heart of the Klein Karoo. The tented camp is modern, clean, and comfortable, with sweeping views and a strong sense of space and stillness. 🌄⛺ We loved the self-drive safaris, enjoying quiet and unrushed explorations across a vast reserve. Along our journey, we spotted various wildlife, including Kudu, Giraffe, Gemsbok, and Black Wildebeest, as well as an abundance of birdlife. 🚙🦓🦒 The setting is open and natural, ideal for unwinding and reconnecting with the outdoors. It’s pet-friendly — our dogs enjoyed every moment 🐾 — though the camp isn’t enclosed, so do plan ahead. The hosts were welcoming and respectful of privacy, with everything thoughtfully prepared. A great choice for families or small groups seeking a calm, nature-focused escape with just the right balance of comfort and wilderness.

We had a comfortable overnight stay at the cottage. It is private with a lovely view of a dam with plenty space to stretch your legs after a day in the car. The stoep has a small gate which is perfect for containing toddlers.

Thank you Narine for everything! This spot is absolutely GORGEOUS, we were completely in awe as we arrived during sunset and woke up to the first light touching the tips of the mountains, truly blown away by the beauty of this little gem of a place. The dam was extremely beautiful and refreshing to swim in even in the middle of winter! We will definitely be returning!

What a great place 🤩 This was our second stay ♥️ The Aardvark Bioreserve is a real gem for nature lovers and adventure seekers! The site offers a breathtaking combination of untouched nature and sustainable tourism. The view from the Berghuisie accommodation over the dam makes every moment unforgettable. The accommodation is very clean and stylishly furnished. The hot tub and pool are so beautiful. The Bioreserve's commitment to protecting the local flora and fauna is particularly impressive. You can tell that they work with a lot of passion and a sense of responsibility. The staff are extremely friendly and competent. If you are looking for an authentic experience surrounded by nature, this is definitely the right place for you. A perfect place to get away from it all and connect with nature!
