Pet-friendly vacation rentals in La Mesa

My family and I were very excited because we were traveling to SD to meet my biological father for the first time since finding him almost 3 years ago. We chose Shawn's BnB because we instantly fell in love with the shaded and secluded backyard. We enjoyed our stay and it served as a great place to chill out, relax, and get to know my dad while playing a few card/board games. The cheery on top was the fabulous weekend weather, which was 40+ degrees cooler than our home in Phoenix, AZ.

Brent’s place was amazing and I would definitely stay there again! It’s in a great location close to lots of restaurants in South Park and my favorite coffee shop Santos coffee :) Their home was beautiful inside and out with a great yard space for the doggies!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, cozy, and perfect for our family vacation. The host was very kind and responsive, and everything was just as described. We really appreciated the attention to detail and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Great place 15-20 min away from down town San Diego and beaches as well also plenty of places to go shopping also the grill was a plus a well plenty of parking and very comfortable would stay here again

Loved this place! It was very small inside the house but truthfully we spent all our time enjoying the beautiful backyard. Lizette was very accommodating and understanding about everything we asked for which is very appreciated. Would book here again.

Great place with a great view, convenient location, very minimalist in the best way. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to relax and spend time indoors while on vacation, great place to get a little creative work done.

Stay at Katri’s was great. Had delicious cookies waiting for us when we checked in, which was a breeze. House was spacious and entire lot was very big. Pool was great and even after we had told them that no heated pool would be necessary, Mother Nature had a different idea and gave us some more than unexpected chilly weather, so they had no problem throwing the heater on for us. Freeway in the background was hardly a noise problem for us personally. Just far enough that it didn’t affect us, and was nice to see what our morning commute was going to be like. Brought two dogs with the group that absolutely loved everything (after one of them finally got over his fear of the staircase). All in all a great stay in a great neighborhood. Cant comment more how quickly they responded to us in the days leading up to the trip, and while we were there. Great hosts!

We loved our stay at Mari Katherine’s Airbnb for a girl’s weekend in SD! It is a beautiful home that was spacious and thoughtfully designed and decorated to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The home feels private, but was in a fantastic location in North Park that was easily walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, etc. Mari Katherine sent clear instructions leading up to our stay, so the logistics of check in were clear and easy! When some logistical challenges came up during our stay, Mari Katherine was very responsive (even late in the evening) and offered solutions - we would be thrilled to visit again!

Quiet location, exactly as pictured and described. Parking could be a challenge if you have a large vehicle but being able to park in the garage made it easier. Great communication!

This is our third time staying here and it gets better and better every time! Literally spent the whole trip on the property with so many activities which the kids loved. Last time we used it as a place to stay when we went to Legoland and it was tough getting the kids to leave! My daughter's favorite host was Kelsey and my son's favorite is Riley. My buddy is Calvin the Alpaca. A perfect getaway and Heather and her family are super welcoming and attentive to any needs. Can't wait for the next visit!

We loved our stay, Bruce was so friendly and very accommodating. We had quite a large group stay there, 2 of my kiddos included- Bruce had a little bucket of toys to play with for them which was such a nice surprise. The house was clean and everything in working order. While we were there, most of our time was spent outside in the beautiful backyard where there was such a great vibe! We’d for sure stay here again next time we’re in San Diego!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Airbnb! The location was stunning, with ocean views and the soothing sound of the waves—it was the perfect place to relax after a day out. There were several great restaurants within walking distance, and we loved being able to grab snacks from the nearby Oxxo, just a short 5-minute walk away. The host was very accommodating, allowing us an early check-in, which we really appreciated. Security at the front was helpful and friendly—they assigned us a parking space and made it easy to find the building. We did experience a couple of minor issues: the shower wasn’t draining properly, and on the third day, the door wouldn't lock. The host responded quickly to our messages, but unfortunately, no one showed up after we waited about an hour. However, the issue was resolved while we were out, so everything was fine when we returned. Despite those small hiccups, we had a lovely time and would definitely consider staying here again. The house was perfect for a family vacation. My kids loved the pool and play area. The hosts were very responsive with questions. Something was going with the fridge and the water/ice maker and the fridge kept beeping especially at night, but that was really the only issue. Plenty of space for everyone. Would definitely stay again

This was my first experience in an Airbnb and I could not have been more pleased. This home is clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a week-long stay! Some of the many highlights: Parking is dedicated and convenient. Kitchen well stocked with a full-sized fridge. There is so much room between the kitchen, living/bedroom and the bathroom/bathroom area! Recliners and bed were super comfortable. TV was easy to use and seemed to have a ton of channels, plus apps like YouTube. Water pressure in the shower was *fantastic* (also the shower head situated high on the wall, great for tall guests). Fast internet connection. Quiet neighborhood. I kept the windows and door open all day while I was there. Lovely patio with a table and large umbrella. Very nice and communicative owners! Most importantly, I felt very safe as a solo traveler. I feel lucky I had the opportunity to stay here and would 100% do so again!

The space is stunning, spacious with modern decor and beautiful views. Atoosa has anticipated everything you will need to enjoy your vacation, from coffee to complimentary snacks to free weights and gear for the beach. The bed is cozy, and the sheets silky soft. The view from the terrace is lovely and peaceful. Parking is easy, and you are just a quick drive from the cafes and beaches of La Jolla. This gorgeous apartment will surpass your expectations.

We had a great stay! The place was easy to find, and Janet’s clear instructions made getting there and checking in a breeze. The little welcome touches like cookies and thoughtful signs added a warm, personal touch that we really appreciated. The AC and fans kept the space comfortable, and private parking was definitely a plus. The kitchen was quaint, neat, and fully stocked with everything we needed to cook. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Soulful Retreat at Cloud Mountain We had the most peaceful and restorative stay at this guest home in Jamul. My partner was recovering from a hospital stay, and this place offered everything we needed—quiet, nature, and healing energy. The guest house was spotless and cozy, with thoughtful touches. We did yoga on the deck, hiked among boulders, watched every sunrise and sunset, and soaked in the hot tub under the stars. The coastal breeze, birdsong, and privacy made it feel like a true escape. We loved connecting with the warm, welcoming hosts and their family as well as their sweet animal companions both cats and dogs—including a very friendly pig named Violet! We hardly heard a single car or plane during our stay. If you're looking to reconnect with nature, this is the place. We left feeling calm, refreshed, and recharged—and we’ve already planned our return to Cloud Mountain. No need to look any further—this place is something special!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
