Located right on the lakefront in the yard of our home, this small cottage has electricity, not an indoor toilet. Sauna water is taken from the lake with a pump, but you can get drinking water from the faucet of the main house. One of the beds is 160cm and the other is a retractable couch. A rowing boat at your disposal and one (or 2) lightweight kayak. On the beach, it is recommended to wear swimming shoes (small stones at the beginning). 15 km to the city and about 8 km to the village of Siilinjärvi. The nearest store is about 4 km and the gas station is 3.7 km away.

A great place for our use, just a few negatives. You can't really swim from the beach, I would have liked this information already in the description. Two of the rooms had cobwebs in quite a bit. Counterbalance countless positive things.

The place is very nice and the yard is very spacious! Nice beach and lakeside sauna. It could still be clearly stated in the listing that the yellow building is not occupied by the guest.

Cottage, by the lake

I recommend this house to those who want to get lost in pristine nature in the middle of winter, it ticks all the boxes of the place to recharge in nature, by the frozen lake, with beautiful walks under the snowy fir trees and on the lake, the little extras being the sauna at the back of the lakeside garden with the logs left by our host, and the northern lights if you're lucky. Located about 50 minutes from Kuopio, where you can see the area and all its lakes from the Puijo Observation Tower. I would recommend it in a second.

Very nice and family-friendly apartment. Personally furnished, clean and tidy. The opposite of an anonymous AirBnB apartment, as it is now rented by many professional operators. Friendly, helpful and proactive communication throughout the stay. The apartment was actually much nicer than in the pictures, with its unusually high rooms.

We are very happy with a month's stay. A warm garage is a big plus and shops nearby. You can also walk to the market. Good bed and linens, laundry and dishwasher and sauna, adequate and high-quality dishes and furniture, as well as a TV and radio. There would also have been a balcony and two bikes in the summer, but now in February we didn't have any use for them. We recommend - the onboarding and service provided by the host left a good feeling.

The place is great! Raija's cottage is compact: small, but well-equipped. Our group of 8 people fit comfortably to spend the weekend. The cottage and the barns were wonderfully cool even though the outside temperature was already higher. The vaulted sauna offered incredibly wonderful and gentle saunas for the whole group at once. Raija gave comprehensive instructions on how to use the cottage. I'd love to come back to the place sometime! 👌🏻

We visited Eija's cottage for the second time. The second time was as good as the previous one, the weather a little cooler. We relaxed, cooked, slept and saunaed. For the sake of pet friendliness, our dogs were allowed to come along. He enjoyed his free time and also fell in love with the place. Eija is a good host, responds quickly and assists when needed. They can also give you tips about the place, if you need them.
