“Great place to stay for a "unplugged" getaway! Eric was very quick to respond to our multiple questions. We were able to kayak the lake and watch lots of wildlife including a resident woodchuck. The hiking trails are beautiful and well maintained. The cabin we stayed at, we were able to watch the beautiful moon rise over the lake each night and listen to the quiet of nature. We will be back again!”
Welcome to the Hugel Hutte! This cute little cabin is perched on the hill top. It's feels like a tree house! You have the kitchen to use, but the famous Fox & Hound's restaurant is just steps away. It's literally right next door. So grab a few drinks and dinner...and walk home to your cabin retreat for the night. Enjoy the tranquil naturescape surrounding the house.
“I'm almost afraid to talk this cabin up too much, because I don't want to have to fight for open spots! This cabin was even more magical then the pictures and previously written reviews show. It felt like our own little fairytale cabin. The sound system was amazing, and the lighting throughout was so pretty. We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit, a romantic fire inside, and used the Apple TV to catch up on some shows. We enjoyed the tire swing, the nature, the sounds...truly, it was amazing. We absolutely will be back, and sooner than later!”
You'll love staying in our unique home, in a quiet neighborhood. This is a recently remodeled 1867 church converted to a "Chouse". Also close enough to the Kettle Moraine Forest to hike and sight-see!
“Wow this place has it all! We were lucky enough to have good weather and spent the days in kettle moraine park. But it would be an equally charming home to get snowed in! They have done an amazing job if filing it with homely items and fun stuff, yet it is immaculately clean throughout. A great size place and with more character than you can imagine right in the middle of a sleepy village. It feels like staying in a museum, so much interesting stuff. Maximum convenience with all appliances and air conditioning that you could ever need. Parking is easy. Nearby are some fun and characterful places to eat and drink including one bar just steps away. The photos and description do not do justice to the amazing refurbishment job they have done on the chouse. Wish we had more time here!!”
