Thanks Katja, we had an amazing two days in Ranua. The house is very functional, accessible. Getting up in the morning and having lunch in front of the window with the impression of being in the heart of the forest, what a pleasure! The location is superb. Thank you again for the campfire, for taking the time to try to communicate with our children, and for the attention you gave them. I highly recommend it!

Our stay at Tarja and Scott’s house was one of the best adventures of our lives. Even before the trip, they were very kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and had everything we needed. The house was cozy and warm, with plenty of firewood. There is also a beautiful kota near the house where we could cook on the fire and watch the northern lights. We were lucky to see the aurora five nights in a row. Scott also gave us great advice about hiking and kindly let us stay a bit longer on our last day. Before we left, we had a nice talk and learned more about his life. We will always remember this peaceful place by the lake and hope to return one day. :)

We had the greatest stay at Kosti’s ! He’s the best host we could ask for. He’s always available when you need anything, and makes sure for your stay to be as welcoming as possible. The sauna and pool are really nice to enjoy, and the location is perfect. The (then frozen) river next to the house offered us the possibility to watch wonderful auroras, and the proximity the Ounasvaraa ski station allowed us to enjoy it as much as possible. I could only recommend you to stay at Kosti’s place if you want your stay to be the best, and feel as a local.

Juhas Villa is one of the best accommodations i‘ve been to during all my Journeys. It‘s located very beautiful and private near a huge lake. The Villa is spacious and equipped very well. It‘s 30 minutes from Ranua by car away. So it’s a good Place to visit for example the Ranua Wildlife Park. We also Went to Korouoma Canyon from Juhas Villa. It’s easy to get to the Villa by car, Even in Winter when the streets are a Little Snowy. We (5 people) have been there in March with a rentalcar. Juha is so friendly, Helpful and polite! He Went icefishing with us on the lake and offered us warm Drinks and Snacks. The best things of the Villa were the Sauna, the whirlpool and spotting the polarlights out of the livingroom. I can absolutely recommend Juhas Villa and I‘d love to come back, maybe in Summer next time! Everything was Perfect, thank you!

We loved Karis' house as soon as we entered. It was warm and everything necessary was available. The sauna was easy to use. Our daughter had her own sledding hill and was always outside in the snow playing. It is very safe for children as you are absolutely private. One evening we even had an aurora explosion directly above the property. It was magical. We were here for 9 days and had perfect weather. The location is great for exploring the area around Rovaniemi. You can also quickly reach the supermarket and the city. Kari is a nice and helpful host. We will be happy to come back and can recommend his log cabin to anyone who does not want to stay directly in the city. Thank you Kari for having us as your guests.

Pasi is a very responsive and friendly host. The house is typical and at the same time very pleasant with all the necessary comforts, the bedding is of good quality and there is everything you need in the house and nearby. We recommend and thank Pasi for our stay.

Lovely old cottage renovated with good taste in a quiet location. The chickens were running around in the yard and the owner was really nice. The evening sun shone beautifully inside and in the morning we went to the sauna. Really neat and all the amenities were found. I have to come again!

Sanna's place is amazing.. great facilities and complete amenities. heated floor. fire place. Sanna is very helpful and fast response when you ask anything. She even have two wall clock. One for the time in rovaniemi, and the other she set it for the time from our country. Don't forget to ask to meet Mintaka the Husky if you get a chance to stay at Sanna's place.

The location couldn’t be better- ski from the front door straight onto the XC groomed tracks. The place itself is cosy and comfortable- the renovated sauna was lovely, the bed super comfy and the view out the window to the snow was relaxing.

Great apartment, spacious, bright, quiet and well located. The private parking space and sauna were appreciated.

It was a dream come true! The house is very nicely located. Ideal for skiers, but also for hiking and exploring it invites you. With the fireplace in the living room you get a wonderful atmosphere! The communication went perfectly and you can book beautiful tours on site

We had the second time in this lovely place. This home has a pleasant decor. Clean, clear, and clean. Good beds for sleeping, clean good quality blankets and pillows. All the necessary equipment can be found in the kitchen and elsewhere. We got an ironing board when we needed it. Excellent service. I can highly recommend.

The apartment provided everything you needed, and the kitchen had a variety of appliances. The neighborhood was very quiet at this time of year and we had good dreams for the cross-country races. The location in Rukatunturi is excellent, a little further away from the center of events, but still within walking distance.

Everything was great, peaceful yet walkable distance to centre and the national park! Had all you need for a perfect vacation.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Otso Lodge in Lapland! The cabin was beautiful and provided the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The view from the cabin was simply breathtaking—truly a tranquil retreat. The weather was also fantastic this time of year, which made our experience even better. We were able to enjoy some fantastic activities close to the lodge, including a thrilling husky safari and a visit to a local farm, both of which were unforgettable experiences. It was also incredibly peaceful to simply walk around the area and take in the stunning natural surroundings. Overall, Otso Lodge provided us with the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the beauty of Lapland!

I had an incredible time at Riitta’s charming cabin. She welcomed us warmly, allowed an early check-in, and explained everything about the cabin, sauna, and activities. The cabin was small and simple, yet comfortable, with a cozy bed, warm blankets, and a window offering a stunning sky view. Heating is wood-fired (lasting ~3 hours), the bathroom is outside, and there’s no electricity (Riitta can lend lanterns). Bring your own food—there’s a gas stove, cookware, and a 5L water container provided. We were lucky to witness two nights of breathtaking Northern Lights, watching them dance across the sky and even falling asleep with the aurora visible through the window—truly magical! The sauna was another highlight: a traditional Finnish experience with optional cold dips and hot water baths. You can also snowshoe, ski, sled, or enjoy a cozy barbecue with equipment provided by Riitta. Everything was exceptional! Thank you, Riitta, for the kindness and unforgettable memories.

Clear instructions and great location. Skiing is close to the cottage and the ski slopes are a short drive away. An atmospheric cottage.

We had a wonderful time at Outi's place - the perfect Finnish countryside retreat!

This is such an unique place. The landscape, the jacuzzi, the sauna with a view, reindeers around the cottage and Northern lights right in front of the door. Everything was just perfect.

It was a beautiful stay for our Finland trip. Definitely big plus points for the nice open kitchen and fireplace, everything was there to cook in the evening and enjoy a nice movie. The sauna space is also very comfortable. Another nice feature was the carport and small shed with tools for bikes and ski stuff, all you need for a little adventure in the North. We would highly recommend this place :) The only minor critique is that you are quite close to other houses and lack some privacy.

The cottage matched the description and was in a quiet location. It was easy to find and the cottage road was in good condition. The beach at a suitable point in the Simojoki river, when the flow was calm. After swimming, it was nice to go to the sauna's gentle steam 🙂

What an absolutely awesome experience, one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been Yanina and Tj were great hosts and were there for everything we needed Highly recommend !!! Booking again for spring/summer
