House vacation rentals in Ironbridge

We spent a fabulous couple of days at The Forge. The place is as described - very comfortable and fully equipped for an escape to the countryside. We loved the thoughtful welcome basket of goodies too. Set in extensive grounds and with plenty of local walking, it was a chance to completely unwind and relax. A big thank you to Mel, the property manager, who provided full and clear information and was friendly and responsive to our queries.

We had a great time at the house. We particularly enjoyed the large and enclosed garden with hot tub and large paddling pool, all of which were fantastic for the children. Thank you for a brilliant stay and for being so responsive.

Beautiful house in a lovely setting. As you'd expect, not a lot of entertainment immediately locally outside of the house other than walks (be warned footpaths are not maintained and impassible in places) but you don't book a place like this if you want hustle and bustle. Pool, hot tub and fire pit all great. Games room is in a separate building to the main house and so wasn't used as much as perhaps otherwise could have. Hosts are great and very welcoming, but they do live right next door which might not be everyone's cup of tea. It wasn't a big issue for us and we were left to our own devices. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. Hosts very accommodating if required and good communication 👍

Spacious and comfortable house for our family of 6 during a rainy February half term. The main reason to rent this place was the pool and sauna which didn’t disappoint and was great for our kids. There is a builder’s merchant right next door to the house which isn’t obvious from the photos but was not a particular problem with respect to noise etc. Lots of great walks nearby - which we will have to rediscover in the future in better weather! Thanks to Phoebe and the owners for making us feel welcome and for being available and responsive to our questions.

Beautiful place in the countryside. Lovely to meet the various animals!

We have just returned from a fabulous 3 night break at Turnip Cottage. Everything was perfect for our group. The cottage was spacious, homely and fully equipped. The facilities were excellent. We were a party of 5 adults and two children aged 14 and 10 and we made good use of the 2 games rooms in the courtyard. The children loved the tennis court / football / go-cart area and we all made good use of the swimming pool and gym. The owner was very friendly and helpful and directed us to a lovely private walk within the grounds. We will definitely meet our friends at the cottage again and enjoy another peacefully perfect weekend in this beautiful part of the country.

We had a special family celebration and this property catered for all ages, it was a great location. Our stay was perfect and everyone especially loved the kitchen / dining area and outside areas. Our host was on hand when needed. Everything was as it should be from the advert and exceeded all of our expectations when we arrived. Would definately recommend and will return.

Lovely little get away for us and the doggy. Nice to be away from a busy road, so peaceful and quiet.

Fabulous location! We were travelling from South Australia and this residence did not disappoint. Clean, spacious and beautiful scenery. Very quiet place to relax and wind down. Loved the furry residents of the house, Carrot was a character. Lovely place shared by the hosts. Definitely recommend!

Had a brilliant stay in this beautiful house, great location and the house was beautifully furnished. After a day of sightseeing it was also lovely to be able to sit in the garden with a glass of wine and listen to the birds and river. Would definitely recommend.

It is easy to provide a five star rating if everything is just perfect. Nice and clean and private. The house is on the countryside, but close to Shrewsbury. So we enjoyed being in town as well as having a meal in one of the local pubs. With a car it is easy to visit Birmingham or Chester as well as mid- and north Wales. Thanks for the stay.

Allison and Neil both greeted us as soon as we arrived , couldn't ask for nicer hosts, Allison shown us around and gave lots of information on the cottage and area , its in a very quiet location yet not far from either Shrewsbury one way or into the countryside the other way ,the scenery is terrific, we could of just stayed and not gone anywhere its so well situated, the only downside is the time went so fast and we where packing to leave before we knew it, we only stayed 2 nights , next time we will stay a lot longer so please leave us space so we can come back 😀 ,cant recommend enough , Amazing ,scenic,quiet ,well maintained and fantastic hosts .

Lovely little cottage, right near the river. Friendly neighbours, our dog loved it. Thoughtful snacks kedt in the kitchen. Bath products and amazing shower - just like home. we would definitely stay again!

We had the most wonderful weeklong stay at the School House. The home is exactly as described on the listing. Very clean, well appointed kitchen and a great location to walk into town via the river path. Communication was great with the managers of the property. We saw the owners, who live in the front house, quite a bit during the week, both were extremely friendly and warm. Would absolutely recommend the School House to anyone visiting Shrewsbury.

Great place for us to stop and enjoy Bridgnorth before going to a family wedding. Walkable in 15/20 mins into town and to the shops. Great set up as we had my elderly parents with us. Once we got them up the stairs, there was a toilet on both levels and a little balcony to enjoy the sun. There's plenty of cooking equipment in for those that want to cater a little to save money. Brilliant stay. Lovely cottage that had everything we needed and close to the centre of town. Really appreciated the little touches of a pint of milk in the fridge and sweets on the table!

Lovely host, who was flexible with our early check in request. Pristine condition. Stunning views and very peaceful. I particularly enjoyed seeing the wild rabbits on my arrival and departure. Wish we were staying longer but was only one evening due to attending a wedding in the area. Would highly recommend

Couldnt have found a nicer place to stay. The location was absolutely perfect for where we were going on our trips. The property was so well presented on arrival and they even put on the extra touches by adding a lovely birthday banner and bunting for my daughters birthday. The property had everything we needed for our stay and some. Thank you so much for such a memorable stay.

Wow! - what an absolute gem. The Old Stable was the most idyllic, relaxing place to stay. James made us feel so welcome and was so helpful, giving great local pub/restaurant recommendations. We also asked for recommendations for walks in the area, which James was very knowledgeable about. We had such a wonderful time and would highly recommend this lovely place. We will definitely be back.

We spent a lovely few days at Lara’s house in Ludlow. It was a perfect location, easy to walk into the town and lovely walks around the town and surroundings. All very homely. Lara was very thoughtful with extra touches like flowers, chocolate and nibbles, as well as the basics. Would happily stay again. Thank you Lara
