Vacation rentals with a fire pit in High Peak District

Our second year staying here for our 'hiking reunion', perfectly placed to walk out the door and explore the surrounding peaks, this year we hit the Stanage Edge hike. Many thanks!

Sunshine Cottage is a beautiful home. It was welcoming, cosy & exceptionally clean. Lovely views from the garden. We managed to park along the road near the Coop & it’s a short but fairly steep climb to the cottage. We had a brilliant few days with plenty of walking which is just what we were looking for. Thank you Naomi for being a fantastic host x

We stayed here for two months as we were visiting family close by. For a long term stay, we can say without a doubt we had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped with herbs, spices, dishes and a variety of cooking tools. The bathroom had plenty of amenities for use. Spare bedding for change over days. Laundry facilities. Comfy bed with large tv for chill evenings. My husband and I were happy to have a ‘home’ to come home to after days out and about. There were stores nearby (Asda,Lidl, Starbucks etc) for groceries. Walking distance too. The house was very clean and there was even lovely thoughtful items such as bread and milk for us when we got there. Communication was great. Messages with questions responded to in a matter of minutes. Very kind and thoughtful hosts.

What a lovely cottage! The views were spectacular! My daughters and I took many pictures of the countryside and of the adorable sheep grazing nearby. The cottage was perfect for resting up and refreshing between our trips to the Chatsworth House and Gardens. What a beautiful little cottage. The garden is a little oasis of calm and we felt like we were in paradise. Had a lovely weekend relaxing and exploring g the area which is just like the Cotswolda. we will definitely be returning

We loved our stay at Booth Farm. It is spacious, warm and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxed self-catering stay. Beautifully furnished and comfortable beds. The surrounding countryside is quintessentially English and there is a lovely homely pub walking distance away. Duncan and his wife were very friendly and welcoming and have worked hard to make Booth Farm a wonderful place to stay. And they rescue horses, so they are special people too. We wish them lots of luck in their future endeavours and would certainly recommend this lovely Airbnb.

What a fantastic place. This is a must visit cottage if you need a place around the Preston area. Helen is a wonderful host who answers questions quickly and leaves clear instructions for your visit, and provides advice on the local places to visit. The cottage is immaculately clean and has everything you need for your stay. It is set in lovely surroundings with the added advantage of a passing cockerel and beautiful peacock that you can watch from a lovely area where you can sit outside in the sunshine. The location is very secluded. Helen and partner ensure your stay is comfortable and go the extra mile to leave you some chocolates, some bread and milk in the fridge for a brew. Thoroughly recommended.

Where do I start there is just so many positive things. I stayed here the night before my wedding with my sister and bridesmaids it was just beautiful in fact stunning. I was amazing. I asked for an early check in as I wanted to take some wedding things across, not only did Claire accommodate me she left a card chocolates and flowers, ironically from the same florist as my wedding flowers. I cried at the thoughtfulness. During the evening Claire then left homemade cakes at the door they were delicious btw. From myself and my wedding party you just blow us away from home he stunning cottage to the views and you being the most amazing kind host. Thank you.

Thanks for a great stay Steve. Close enough for an easy commute to Sheffield but far away enough for some peace and quiet.

This is our second visit in the space of 3 months. We specifically chose to return as it feels like home from home. Lesley and Jez are very friendly and accommodating. The lodge has everything we need, including a lovely garden and wonderful views. We highly recommend this accommodation, and won’t hesitate to book it again.

Booked Jo's place as I attended a wedding nearby and it was perfect. Had all the amenities, was cosy and clean. I recommend Jo's place!

Mike's place was perfect for our 3 night trip to the Colne Valley. The farm shop just across the road and pub a short walk away were very handy. The place was very clean and had everything we needed, and we felt really comfortable as soon as we walked through the front door. Would lo e to come back and explore the area more.

Great stay at the apartment. Marshall was very helpful and kept checking in on us to see how our stay was going. The Only issue we had was the parking was a bit of a nightmare to find as most of the roads were closed from work being done but that’s not the owners fault! Would definitely recommend this place and Marshall as a host😊

Excellent stay, well equipped in the outdoor kitchen. Clean and tidy and very friendly hosts and very responsive. Location is peaceful, pretty and only a few minutes from Alton Towers. Great stay thank you

5 minute drive Alton towers which we went to on one of our days , on the second day we got an uber in to town and had a really lovely lunch at the bulls head - recommend the kebabs. Our car unfortunately broke down whilst here and Jessica and her husband were really helpful! Amazing cabin, amazing hosts! Would definitely stay again.

Simply 10/10 – highly recommended and would return in a heartbeat! From the moment we arrived, our experience at the cabin was nothing short of perfect. The host was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We were greeted personally at the car park, guided to the cabin, and given a full tour of the place, which instantly made us feel at home. The host thoughtfully introduced us to all the local amenities, including beautiful walking trails, handy shops etc. Their knowledge and enthusiasm really added a personal touch to our stay. A true testament to the host’s attentiveness and commitment to guest comfort. Most importantly, our privacy was fully respected throughout. The host struck the perfect balance between being available and allowing us to enjoy uninterrupted quality time with our family. The cabin nestled in such a peaceful and scenic location, was the perfect getaway. We couldn’t have asked for a better host or a more beautiful place to stay.

We’ve had the most wonderful weekend here, such a beautiful location, the pods are gorgeous and everyone is so friendly. Sarah and her family were so hospitable and responded to everything really quickly and with lots of ideas about what to do in the local area. My boys loved feeding the chickens and alpacas and really loved their bunk beds! They didn’t want to leave and neither did we. Thank you - we will be back and would recommend it to friends in a heartbeat x

Superb venue if you like a quiet space to reflect. The western peaks are beautiful and not well trodden so it’s an ideal venue. The Lazy Trout is an excellent pub. My third visit to the cabin- it’s fab!

Wonderful stay at deer cabin, very peaceful with the sound of birds and private. Lovely cosy cabin and very clean. Nice added touch with robes and snacks. Hosts were super friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend staying here, just what we needed! Lots of things do in surrounding areas too and locals all very friendly

We had an amazing stay in the Peaks. Beautiful views and light in the pod with everything you could need. We enjoyed the fire and cooked in the kitchen, before heading out into the surrounding countryside. Great location and really flexible hosts. I would highly recommend.

We stayed here for my partner’s birthday, it was lovely getaway and break from life itself. A stunning view from the room and Hot tub. The hosts were friendly and very helpful. As well as the accommodation was very clean and tidy. There’s pubs, restaurants and walks close by and the whole surrounding area feels safe, secure and peaceful. I’d definitely recommend to anyone who was looking at a peaceful getaway.
