Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Hawks Nest

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Barefoot at Broke over the long weekend. The house is beautifully decorated, comfortable and felt extremely spacious for the 5 of us, plus our family dog. Located in Broke, the property feels private and secluded, yet only a short drive away from some amazing wineries. Steve and Jen were also very responsive hosts, answering all our questions promptly and providing clear instructions for check in/ out. We would highly recommend Barefoot at Broke for a small group getaway - we had an amazing time!

Lovely stay in Smiths lake, feel like you’re up in the trees. Note there is a steep driveway and many stairs to get into the home.

We loved our stay at your beautiful home - so eclectic, gorgeous gardens, so relaxing with the wrap around verandah and day beds, and the magic bush track down to the beach. The kitchen was fully equipped, and everything so thoughtfully presented … a relaxing home away from home! Our little dog Cliffy absolutely loved his time there too … lots to explore in the fully fenced garden, and he loved his daily beach adventures. Thank you Evelyn & Kerry for making our stay so special. We will definitely be back and stay longer next time.

Quiet, Fabulous panoramic views of the Hawkesbury from an elevated deck. Wood burning fire with plenty of supplies made the wintery chills go away. 10mins from Wiseman’s Ferry crossing. Enjoyed staying would recommend - access is via a steep set of steps - hence the view :)

We loved our stay at Lauren’s place! Beautiful, modern interior, walking distance to Shoal Bay for restaurants, pub, bike hire or to watch the dolphins at sunset. Or for the more intrepid, lots of hiking options right out the back door. The house was so well-equipped we also spent some days enjoying the pool, pizza oven and outdoor entertaining area. Highly recommended!

Sandy is a great host, made everything very easy for us to use, ping pong table and arcade machine was fun, fire place in the backyard made for a chilled space.

This is the second time I have stayed here and it is a beautiful home for a weekend away for one as a retreat or for a family getaway. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans un environnement agréable et calme .Les plages accessibles à pieds sont magnifiques et il y a plein de belles balades à pieds à faire autour . La pièce de vie était très agréable ainsi que la terrasse . La cuisine était très bien équipée. La literie était bonne . Il est important de noter qu’il y a 32 marches à gravir pour atteindre la pièce de vie . Par ailleurs il peut être problématique de venir avec des enfants de moins de 10 ans car les chambres sont séparées de la pièce de vie par un escalier extérieur et les portes de chambres donnent sur une terrasse extérieure … De même pour l’espace douches et wc qui est semi-extérieur. Mais Luncinda répond aux messages rapidement et est très sympathique.

Beautiful big apartment. Reminded me a bit of an old Queenslander with mod cons. Lots of charm. Wish we could of stayed longer.

Beachousesix was very well appointed with amazing ocean views. It was clean, quiet & within around a 10 minute walk to restaurants & shops. There was plenty of street parking also. I would love to stay here again if in Terrigal. Thanks Tim

Great place for a weekend in Killcare! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean, modern and had everything we could need for a lovely stay!

Very happy with our stay at Blueys Beach. Dean was very communicative and we felt we could reach out to him if there were any concerns. We would definitely like to return for another visit.

We loved the Bond House apartment. Despite the unusual access across the park it was well worth it once inside. Eclectic stylishly furnished spacious apartment well located for East Newcastle. A well stocked larder and great laundry space if you need it. Bathrooms very modern with heated towel rails and big fluffy towels! Beds very comfy too

This place is magical. We returned a second year in a row and this time was even better. If you want to get off the grid and forget Covid, masks and all the stresses of life, the Villa doesn’t disappoint!

What a beautiful, peaceful place that had all the necessary amenities a 2 min walk from the spectacular pearl beach. It was perfect & Carla and Chloe were great hosts and were very generous to give us a late check out on Sunday. The spa is pretty special although a bit finicky if you don’t know how to use it - thankfully our hosts were very responsive in helping with this. My only note is to maybe make sure if you need more linen/towels than what they provide for the 4 doubles and one single bed (9 people). We booked the house for 11 (there is a room with fold out couches) but those 2 guests didn’t get towels or linen. Final thing is the property has close neighbours so there are a lot of rules to do with noise etc. This makes sense as I assume the hosts have been burned before and must protect their relationship with the local community but if you want somewhere you can feel free to sing your heart out around the fire pit until the wee hours go elsewhere. Thanks for everything!

Matt’s place was incredible. We stayed there for 2 nights for a girls weekend getaway. We loved the property so much that we skipped some of our scheduled wine tastings to sit around the cozy fireplace, watch the spectacular sunsets and enjoy the 360 degree views from every angle. This property has everything you could need, including very clearly labeled instructions for how to use the various appliances/speakers/fireplace etc. The kitchen is completely stocked, there’s no shortage of cleaning supplies, firewood, tea, coffee, and everything you need to make your stay a memorable and seamless one. Matt was very responsive, helpful, and a joy to communicate with. We will definitely be back. Couldn’t recommend Among The Vines more highly. If I could give this more than five stars, I would. Gorgeous spot for a getaway from the city. Close to everything in the Hunter, but well away from everything and everyone. Super easy to find and get there, check-in/out was a breeze. All the information you need is provided. Great amenities especially in the kitchen. Accomodation is a beautiful space indoors and out. Amazing afternoon walks around the property. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay! We found the property to be exactly what we were looking for, a nice getaway that made you feel disconnected and relaxed. The property is set up perfectly to bring your dog, with the secure area around the villa that allows them to explore without worry. Zoe the resident dog is also great host and very welcoming, she would come a visit each day to make sure that we were comfortable. She was very friendly and got along well with our dog, she even came along with us for one of our walks and showed us the way. We had a great time and would highly recommend staying here. We hope to return one day, thankyou Kylie for being a great host!

By far the best air bnb i’ve ever stayed at. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. The location was beautiful and comfortable. Will definitely be back soon!
