House vacation rentals in Gasselte

We stayed with 3 adults and two toddlers and the space was completely sufficient. There was also enough board game material available on rainy days and the children still got a lot of painting utensils from Marieke. The kids were very happy about that. Outside in the garden it was very idyllic and in the summer it was certainly nice to sit outside by the pond comfortably in the evening. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. we lacked nothing. The communication with Marieke was great. She was always very accessible and proactively suggested activities. All around a very successful week :) Thank you very much for that.

Beautiful place, enjoyed the greenery, the birds (the two woodpeckers in the garden that flew in and out) and the tranquility. Calm park, you can hear people, but it still feels very private. We had beautiful weather, which also contributed to a nice atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place.

We were there in June as a group of four – despite the rain and colder temperatures, we were able to enjoy our stay totally thanks to the sauna and the heated pool, which was our highlight! We were very warmly welcomed, the accommodation is really great – we can only recommend it and will definitely come back. The adjacent forest is great for walking and Groningen and Leeuwarden are each just under 30 minutes by car.

A little gem. Great amenities in the garden (against extra cost) was perfect for relaxing once kids were asleep. Enjoyed access to larger park too.

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was as described and Janna and Christof took great care of us. Would happily do it again!

We loved our stay at Willem's cottage. It is a beautiful cottage with a spacious garden. All amenities have been thought of. We were with our toddler (2.5) and baby (4 months) and found the cottage well equipped for this. The toddler could play on the trampoline all day and there were plenty of toys. The cottage is also well insulated and can be cooled well. The park was neat and very quiet (in the low season, June). We were regularly the only ones in the pool, even in good weather. The playground was spacious and with many different playground equipment. For groceries and cafes, you can drive to Ommen within 10 minutes. There are several fun activities to do, a visit to the mill was the highlight of the holiday for our toddler. From the cottage you can walk right into the woods. You can feel the tranquility and nature. We can recommend this cottage to everyone!

A lovely place! Enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, thanks to the playground and the pool a Valhalla for children. The cottage has all the comforts, spacious bedrooms, wonderful kitchen and very nice garden. We were here in the spring, but I can totally imagine that it is enjoyable every season. We had two beautiful days at the house. It is quiet. There are also two supermarkets in the village. You can do a lot in the region. The house also invites you to linger. Both saunas were really great. We'll be sure to recommend

The contact with the hosts was very straightforward and always helpful. Everything that is needed was there. The house is lovingly furnished. The garden is really nice and invites you to stay. Only the bathroom is outdated, a vent would be desirable.

We had a wonderful time in this idyllic house! It was super clean, very lovingly decorated and perfectly equipped – you immediately feel comfortable. A very special highlight for us was the opportunity to use the motorboat provided – this made our stay unforgettable. Absolutely recommend, we'll be happy to come back!

We spent a wonderful week in this fantastically beautiful vacation home! Together with friends, our children and their children, we were able to enjoy the tranquility and nature to the fullest. The house is very tastefully decorated, absolutely clean and leaves nothing to be desired – you immediately feel comfortable. The surroundings are idyllic and perfect for families: on the adjacent pasture, the children were allowed to visit sheep and move freely. They were also particularly enthusiastic about the orchard, where we were allowed to pick to our heart's content. There is a cozy restaurant nearby, fresh honey from your own beekeeper and eggs from the chickens right on site – simply wonderful! The hostess was very friendly, spoke very good German and was particularly warm in dealing with the children. We felt completely welcome and can recommend this place without reservation.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet Günther, but his wife. She was an amazing host. We were greeted with our house names at the front door. 😊 In the fridge, there was a bottle of summer beer, a bottle of sparkling wine, candies, chocolate and a large piece of Frisian cake for us. Simply fantastic!!!! The apartment and terrace were a dream. Magnificent view of the Larreelter Deep. We will be happy to come back.

We were traveling with two small children. The house was perfectly furnished, equipped for our needs and even in bad weather there were plenty of excursion destinations in the area (e.g. indoor playground, swimming pool). We will be happy to come back!

A great house with a stunning kitchen.

The location of the house is unique. This makes it super quiet. The garden is shaded by the tall trees, which is an advantage in the middle of summer. In the spring, it is cooler during the day as a result. This did not affect our stay. We enjoyed the time very much.

In our cottage we could hear the pheasants! We had a beautiful view over the field in which we saw multiple pheasants, deer and hares. A squirrel sighted several times in the garden. A house and surroundings to get quiet to be able to hear the sounds of nature the better. Westerwolde, it is beautiful. And this cottage is really so fully furnished. Absolutely subject to repetition for us.

We had a lovely stay! The Airbnb is on the farm with the hosts in a small annex. In general, we spoke to the hosts in person on arrival and departure, otherwise we only saw the two of them walking across the yard sometimes. But we had our privacy at all times and you didn't feel watched. The kitchen is well equipped and we rented the sauna for €40/3 hours, which can be reached directly through a door at the bedroom. That was a great experience! In addition, P+R is directly in Groningen for €6/5 persons/round trip. We can recommend the Airbnb!

A very peaceful and quiet retreat for those who enjoy nature. The house was exactly what we needed after exploring the local countryside. The house was clean and had all the amenities we required. It is also close to Norg, perfect to grab some groceries, or pick up food from local restaurants.

Great house, especially the beautiful conservatory where we sat wonderfully. Also very nice to be able to open the glass walls in good weather. Nice terrace. Special that the house is on a pretty busy road, but due to the distance to the road there was no traffic to hear.

Nice little studio with everything you need for 1 or 2 people if you go walking in Drenthe.

Volker is a lovely host and this accommodation is wonderful for families or groups of friends who want to relax by the North Sea - the house offers an incredible amount of space for cozy game nights, delicious cooking experiences and time together on the terrace. We felt completely comfortable and would be very happy to come back 🤗

We had a wonderful week. The house has all the comforts, including a very nice kitchen. Also nice was the sun in the front garden, where we could have breakfast quietly. The location is nice and quiet, so we were able to sleep really well. In the area we enjoyed the nature, the tranquility and the friendly people. The reception was warm and personal, even our dog Bettie received a warm welcome. All in all recommended, we will definitely come back. Finally, I would like to mention Dokkum, a very nice town with special shops and good restaurants. Thank you Coen and Anne (and Marianne) for this beautiful, wonderful week. We were with 8 women over the weekend in Henk's house and felt completely comfortable, as it is cozily furnished and very spacious. There were also several seating areas behind the house. Since we had 30 degrees, we did not use the beautiful sauna. The house is very quiet, a bit remote, which we liked.

Really nice house in a special location right on the canal. Cozy, clean and quiet. Beautiful surroundings und close to Groningen.
