“We have just had a fabulous stay at Leigh & Keith’s place . Our flight arrived in the morning, and we had intended to bide our time before our 2pm check in , but after exchanging text with Leigh, she invited us to arrive ahead of time , a lovely gesture for which we were very grateful. were given a warm welcome by our hosts upon our arrival. We are keen beachgoers , so their offer of use of a surfboard, bodyboards and pushbikes and beach umbrella was keenly accepted. The space itself was lovely. A private entrance into a airy courtyard to the studio with a tasteful decor, big bed , a fully appointed kitchenette With complimentary tea coffee and condiments a nice touch . And a modern bathroom with big towels, shampoos, and extras included. We felt relaxed instantly. The property itself is situated minutes from everything you need. With shops, cafes , pubs and the beach a short stroll away. We spent most mornings at Kirra beach , swimming, surfing and relaxing. And with 3-4 surf clubs with cold beer , good food and amazing views ,all within walking distance, we were in heaven. With everything we needed so close by , we didn’t feel the need to hire a car. We used Uber a few times, and bus services are a quick and cheap way to get around if you want to explore a bit further afield. We really enjoyed our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Leigh and Keith’s space to anyone seeking a beautiful, private getaway in Coolangatta.”

“It was a last minute decision to stay at Christine’s place after a big Christmas holiday interstate but it turned out to be one of the best last minute decisions I have ever made! I arrived around dinner time but by the time I landed at the airport and made my way to Banora, I was exhausted. Christine and Kimmy (along with another pup Tammy) greeted me at the door with big smiles, gave a quick tour of the house and left me alone to rest for the night. During the rest of my stay, there was a welcoming, happy ambience throughout the house. I could come and go whenever I pleased and Christine even offered lifts (which I didn’t really need as the bus stop is a quick 5-10 minute walk!). It really did feel homely, like I am staying with an auntie. I felt taken care of! Christine is a lovely, cheery person to hang out with - definitely super host material. I highly recommend staying at Christine’s place. The room is very spacious, with a very soft and comfy bed. You will have your own mini bar fridge and a stock of breakfast supplies which is always handy. She also adds sweet touches like cupcakes and cookies upon arrival! Location is great, especially if driving, it is quite central but still away from the busy-ness. Having a private toilet and bathroom was super convenient, as well as being able to use the kitchen and laundry facilities. Her hospitality and bright personality really made my stay a great experience. Can’t wait to be back!”
Fingal Head is a hidden gem. Its unspoilt and uncrowded beaches stretch for miles and are only minutes from the unit. Nearby is the lighthouse on the headland and its famous basalt rock formation, popular for picnics. The unit, one of only four, is surrounded by papaya, fruit trees and passionfruit vines. A character cafe, corner store with bottle shop and the beautiful Tweed river are all less than two minutes away. Snorkeling with turtles is possible at nearby Cook Island.
“Lovely lowset townhouse in the heart of Fingal Bay, spacious inside with pleasant decor, comfy main bed, felt at home, easy walking to beach, lighthouse, general store and pizza place around corner we would definitely stay again.”
