A beautiful room in a lovely house on a quiet road in Duffield which is close to the A38 and 6 miles from Derby City Centre. Duffield is a lovely village with restaurants, shops, bars and open countryside within walking distance from the house. The bedroom has a dual-aspect to the garden, an ensuite bathroom and is on the ground floor with its own separate access via the dining room.
“This is a beautiful space in which to stay. I spent a night here before a very busy weekend and it was ideal. Apart from the decor, the place is nice and quiet, but very well situated... Handy for the village and places beyond. Communication was easy, as was coming in and leaving the following day. I had a lovely evening there and would recommend!!”
A beautiful 300 year old house in a Derbyshire village setting. Private access to your accommodation. A lovely en-suite private bathroom with bath and shower adjoins the bedroom and a cosy sitting room beyond. Off road parking. Circular pub walks from the doorstep. Within easy reach of Alton Towers, Chatsworth, Kedleston Hall, Crich Tramway, and the Derbyshire Peak District. But you really don't need to drive anywhere if you just want to chill out, as there are lots of things to do nearby.
“I stayed with David, Justine and their family for a week whilst visiting my mum in a residential home in the area. I couldn’t have been any luckier discovering this family and their property. I was traveling alone and felt safe in the self contained apartment. I could also access the house to use the kitchen and laundry facilities as I needed to. David and Justine made sure there was breakfast for me each morning, and even made me a full English at the weekend which was wonderful and Ted the dog was great company whist I ate it !! The house is a beautiful listed property and the accommodations have been thoughtfully laid out with everything that you might need. I highly recommend this property.”
The flat available is self contained with spacious living and dining room, large double bedroom, kitchen, shower and W.C. Whilst the listing is for a double bedroom, a fold out sofa bed is also available. The flat is within our main family home and uses a shared entrance. Basic breakfast essentials (tea, coffee, cereal and milk) will be provided. Village amenities are close by including a grocery store and a number of excellent eateries. We look forward to welcoming you.
“We only stayed with Barbara for one night, but we enjoyed the spacious and airy rooms in this one bedroom flat. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was very quiet even though it's on a busy high street. There are plenty of places to find meals around within walking distance (a fish bar, an Indian and a Chinese restaurant) plus a very popular micro pub across the road and a Co-op a few doors down. We plan to try to book this again on future visits to family in the immediate area.”
