Barn vacation rentals in Cumberland River

We stayed for 4 months during the winter and really enjoyed our time at the cottage. We were looking for a peaceful & quiet getaway in nature and that’s exactly what we got. It was so comfy and relaxing. We loved having our morning coffee in the sunroom over looking the lake. Kitchen is well equipped, wifi was super fast, lots of TV channels. There’s no cell service, but with the fast wifi you didn’t really need it. We were sad to leave! Would definitely come back, and absolutely recommend Melissa’s place for anyone who wants a peaceful escape.

The pictures do not do justice, absolutely astonishing how beautiful the view was. Couldn’t ask for a better host. 10/10 recommend and I will be staying here from now on as long as it’s available.

Exceeded our expectations! They met us at the cabin and showed us around and made sure we didn’t have any questions. It’s such a historic experience, the place is just stunning. Excellent for a family getaway. Be sure to take the hike through the woods while you’re visiting. Walk a chair down to the creek and put your feet in the water, or take a peaceful walk down it. Sit and have coffee on one of two porches and listen to the water and wildlife. It’s a must to have s’mores by the fire pit as well. We had nightly visits from an armadillo couple and the same with turkeys. There is so much to do you almost need to stay longer than a week! Our schedule didn’t allow for a canoe/kayak trip down the Yellowcreek this visit, but you bet it’ll be on the list next time. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for the amazing stay, you two have put a lot of hard work into the cabin, and we’re grateful that you’re sharing it!!!

This cabin had breathtaking views!!! We definitely felt at home here! It was very clean and accommodated my family of 4. The beds were extremely comfortable! We really enjoyed the hot tub and pool table! The kitchen had everything we needed! Parking was easy and spacious! I would definitely stay here again!

What a wonderful place to spend time with family! The kitchen and dining room and especially the porch made for wonderful gathering places. Bill was responsive when I had any questions. The housekeeper and her husband were very welcoming and kind! The yard is beautiful. We enjoyed walking the property and playing bocce ball. We selected this property because it was near River Pointe Ranch where my daughter was getting married. It was the perfect place for the whole family to stay.

We loved it here! Plenty of space for us and the dog to relax and soak in the mountains! I highly recommend the horse ride! Even for beginners! Great stay overall for the family!

Beautiful and peaceful place. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed feeding the horses. Pamela responded quickly to our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

This is the second time we have booked with host. Coleen had always been very responsive and provides very detailed instructions!!! We love her place and it fits our needs perfectly!

We had a family gathering with 30 people. Rented the house plus three cabins and used the house for the large group gathering space. The space was perfect with large great room, spacious kitchen and amazing entertainment area downstairs. Beautiful setting with great views and ample privacy. The house is an upstairs build above a barn that has been converted to entertainment space, so beware the house portion is NOT handicap accessible, but that was not a requirement for our visit. Would highly recommend if for any size family or group that does not require handicap accessibility. Matt was extremely helpful, responsive and flexible with our group.

Barbara's Barn Loft is perfect for a peaceful and serene getaway! We were warmly welcomed by Barbara's friendly and gentle goats. The loft has a cozy and warm aesthetic with amazing views from every window. We enjoyed our stay from start to finish including delicious breakfast and charcuterie board, relaxing on the deck and ending the evening by the fire pit. Thanks for an amazing stay, Barbara!

Very private and cozy stay! Enough room for my husband and I to both work remotely for two weeks and have our own little space. Comfortable bed in the primary bedroom! The only downside is no windows in the kitchen / living room/ dining room. Otherwise a wonderful stay!

Jenny was a great host! The space was clean and as described. She was so thoughtful and left flowers for us on the nightstand after our wedding night.

We loved this place! Cute and quiet - a perfect unplugged weekend. It doesn’t have a TV, which we appreciated; the kiddos and us enjoyed board games, the record player, the hot tub & the fire pit. Would recommend and would def stay again, if planning a trip to Monticello.

Awesome place. Beautiful scenery with an easy walk down to creek. Front porch is very nice with the rope lighting and seating for enjoying the view!!!! If you’re wanting a quiet place about 10mins from town with beautiful scenery and the only close neighbors are a few horses!!!

Such a great spot for me and my groomsman to stay for my wedding. Chad was a great host and was super easy to get in contact with. The space is AWESOME. So much room for activities and was such a fun place to be out in the country. 10/10 would recommend

Andy and the team were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and personable from the moment we arrived. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, making us feel right at home. Their warmth and hospitality made the experience even more memorable. Whether you’re visiting for the scenery or just a peaceful getaway, I can’t recommend Andy’s place enough. The combination of a wonderful location and exceptional hosts makes this a must-stay spot in Kentucky. Five stars!

This was a perfect writing getaway for me! Beautifully decorated, very clean, everything you need for a peaceful stay out in the country. Short drive into town where I had the best chicken salad sandwich at Ollie & Finns! Peaceful surroundings, back patio to sit and ponder life while listening to what I think were bullfrogs in the pond. Tracy was a GREAT host and I would stay here again...and again!

We had a great night staying here! We felt right at home and super comfy. We were passing through for the night and enjoyed the space and found restaurants close by. Amy our host was amazing! She was very responsive whenever I messaged her and she had great recommendations also. Highly recommend!

We were looking for a peaceful get away from the city and got exactly that. Jeanne was very hospitable and responsive. The farm was stunning and had a beautiful view! The kitchen was 10/10. We can’t wait to come back again!

Fabulous design and super friendly host. After a minor snafu, I actually met Meredith in person and she gave me the BEST recommendations. The highlight was salsa night on Monday night. Pro tip: bring ear plugs. The train runs close by.

The new rustic loft was beautiful and extremely quiet. We appreciate the fact that he had oscillating fans in each of the bedrooms. He also had bathroom stocked with necessities that anyone would normally forget. I look forward to staying here again very soon.

Cute place with personality. Everything was clean and well maintained. My husband and I went to a concert at the caverns. It was a nice getaway.
