Cottage vacation rentals in Crooked Lake

Very nice, quiet lake location. Everything was provided, a lot of little touches made it less for us to think about. The hosts were always quick to respond. Definitely recommend.

Very clean, peaceful, beautiful place. A bit small for our family of 6, but perfect for a short stay, landing place if planning to be out a lot, or for a smaller family. Nice back yard area and hot tub. Kayaks were a wonderful treat. We saw a muskrat, turtles, and other wildlife.

Our family of 5 had a great stay at Gary’s place. The lake, the pontoon, paddle boards and pedal boat were used daily. It is private and quiet. There are plenty of life vests and even some large inner tubes you can take out on the water. The floating dock and lily pad were covered in goose poop while we were there so we didn’t use them. The house was comfortable and had more amenities than most air BNBs we’ve stayed at. Our favorite spot (besides being on the water) was drinking coffee and reading on the covered porch! Would recommend to families!!

The hosts went above and beyond to support our family during one of the most exciting and emotional times in our lives—the arrival of our child through adoption. With so many unknowns in our journey, they moved mountains to accommodate us, ensuring we had a beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing place to stay, even with our shifting timelines and unique requests. The home itself is absolutely stunning—everything is brand new, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the hot tub was such a treat. From the thoughtful design to the cozy atmosphere, every detail made our stay feel effortless and peaceful. We are already dreaming of returning in the summer to soak in the lake vibes and energy of Nettle Lake. We are beyond grateful for this experience and for the kindness and generosity of our hosts. Beautiful sunsets in the evenings! The house was perfect! No issues at all! Phillip was great at communicating! The neighbors were so friendly!!

Mike’s place was just as described. When we got there it started storming. With young grandchildren with us they were disappointed. They weren’t for long. Mike has the garage set up full of games. Darts, shuffleboard, corn-hole, a putting green to name some. There is also PAC-Man along with another one inside. The kids, and adults, were never bored. Outside we loved the paddle boat, kayaks and paddle board. The view from the deck is amazing. There was everything we needed in the kitchen to make meals when we didn’t eat out. I highly recommend staying at Mike and Colleen’s AirBnb.

What a nice, peaceful retreat to return to after a jam packed softball weekend! Super clean and very responsive hosts. We had a small issue and it was handled immediately. We would love to return someday! Thank you for sharing this cute little piece of paradise with us!

Brad and Deb are real pros. They really know how to set up the place to make it inviting and comfortable. It’s rare to run across hosts who handle the details. But these folks do. We can’t wait to get back here.

We booked last minute due to other plans falling through due to floods in Kentucky. Jo was amazing and got us booked quickly. The cottage was comfortable. The lake was beautiful and peaceful. We will be returning when it's warm. We had an enjoyable trip exploring Shipshewana. We read in the sunroom and loved relaxing with a beautiful view. Thank you Jo for hosting us!

We were in Hillsdale for work and it was so nice to come home to this quiet cabin by the lake. We were able to cook our own meals and relax with the beautiful sunsets most evenings. Very much appreciate finding such a beautiful place that's also pet friendly. The neighborhood felt safe and the neighbors were all very friendly. The kitchen is very well-equipped. Beds are comfortable with individual AC units in each room. Akrum was very responsive to messages and access was very easy. We will definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity.

This property was phenomenal. It had amazing interior, beautiful kitchen, great view of the lake and plenty of parking for our employees. Jonathan was fantastic with communication and very helpful during our whole stay. Our employees loved the property and we will definitely be staying here again if we have work again in the area. We enjoyed our stay very much, we wondered if we would be avoided by permanent residents but found everyone we met to be very friendly, we felt a sense of belonging. The area was very peaceful and relaxing, no parties or noise (except the occasional boat passing by). Adam responded usually immediately but not more than a half hour unless that was my delay in seeing it. I would certainly enjoy another mini-vacation here in the future…unless I buy my own first 🤗
