Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Cromford

Vernon House is a lovely place to stay. It worked well for a group of friends coming together for a reunion. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals for 10 people. The house is well laid out and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed a walk to Chatsworth House along a well marked footpath. Noise from the A6 was most noticeable on Sunday when we sat in the garden. In the house the traffic could not be heard. We were very happy with the house we had chosen for our gathering.

Our stay was great. The hot tub was lovely and the garden was beautiful. Penny also very kindly made us a cake which was delicious. Penny lives at the other side of the house and was there if we needed anything (even sun tan lotion). We booked this place for a chilled hen do and it was perfect. Would stay again. Thanks for having us Penny!

Beautiful cottage, felt so at home. The garden in particular was stunning. Beds were comfortable and the whole place was so clean and well equiped. The location is beautiful but do have to drive to a few things. We did the Curbar walk which is walkable from the cottage and is a lovely walk. We drove to Kinder Scout, Roaches, Luds Church, Hen Cloud and Millers Dale. Our dog loved the cottage, thank you so much we will ne back again 😊

Communication with Barbara was excellent. She was very friendly and accommodating. She was not put off by the fact we were attending a festival! The place was so charming and we loved saying hello to the dogs next door! Great location and we would definitely stay again. We loved all the extra little touches and the fact we could check in late. Thank you!

We had an amazing stay at Vicky & Alex’s cottage. The house was fantastically equipped and beautifully decorated. Very comfy beds with high quality linens. Perfect for a girly hiking weekend away! Thank you so much - we will be back!

Great cottage in a wonderful location, handy for Chatsworth, Bakewell etc Clear instructions and good communications. The main bedroom was lovely, it is very large and has a wardrobe and drawers. Everything was perfect for us.

I booked this stay for my mum and partner who were over the moon with their time spent here. They came back and told me they thought it was such a beautiful accommodation, with stunning surroundings. Perfect for find a little respite, peace and quiet. They were delighted with how much was provided at the accommodation, Sarah had thought of everything. They felt incredibly welcome and throughly enjoyed their stay, they’d definitely return! Thank you Sarah for providing such a lovely home for their stay!

Daniel is easily the best host I’ve ever had. We are two American students who moved to Nottingham for school and Daniel made us feel right at home. He provided endless recommendations, brought us anything we needed, checked up on us, and was always available. The apartment quickly became our home. It had all the amenities we needed: washer, dryer, iron, kettle, fireplace, hairdryer, etc. He even stocked toiletries and the like. The couch is great for naps and hanging around. The location is super convenient with a bus stop right by, grocery nearby, etc. Daniel is a friendly host who loves to provide his guests with a great experience. Would stay again 10/10.

What an adorable cottage right in the heart of Castleton! An excellent hiking trail right from the door - Mam Tor/Cavedale loop. The cottage was charming and had all the right amenities. The bakery across the street was fantastic! Cafe right next door for coffee/tea! The scenery was breathtaking and the drive up Winnats Pass was memorable! A definite A+ place! Marianne was responsive and very friendly!

We had an amazing time at this Airbnb! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The host was friendly, responsive, and made us feel very welcome. The location was perfect—quiet and convenient, close to everything we wanted to see and do. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

I had an absolute incredible experience at Denise’s place, from the moment I arrived, everything was spotless, stylish and thoughtfully prepared. Check-in was easy. The space itself was better than the photos- beautifully decorated and cozy. The bed was super comfy and I appreciated all the little touches that made it feel homely. I couldn’t ask for a better experience and would certainly return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend this little gem for anyone visiting the area.

Soozey was really helpful, very responsive and provided us with a beautifully clean and well furnished space to rest our heads in Buxton. The arcade game was a huge bonus and we very much enjoyed playing some retro games. Easy to access and unload luggage etc, walkable to local places and very peaceful for the night. We were visiting Buxton for 2 shows at the Opera House & the apartment is perfectly placed for this, being just a few minutes walk away, also the Pavilion Gardens and loads of places to eat & drink. Apartment is beautifully furnished and very well-equipped with pretty, sunny little cottage-style garden to front. The main bedroom is lovely, really comfortable bed. Our friend stayed in the basement bedroom and did comment that it was cold BUT he was very warm and comfortable once in bed. Wish we had stayed longer, if only to take advantage of the huge selection of dvds and books 😊. Thankyou, Heather, Kim and Lorna for a really great (too short) stay.

Had a great time , my son and I were fishing the River Wye , and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My only caveat is the parking problem . As we were out all day we had to find a space each evening.

Had an amazing time at Holmdene in the Peak District. was perfectly located for all the walking and trips/tours we wanted to do in Castleton. Charlotte & Stuart were wonderful hosts who greeted us warmly on arrival and Charlotte gave us a detailed chat on all the walks we could do tho we didn't get to experience all of them in our short stay due to weather. We had a lovely evening in the pod with friends and we felt very at home in the apartment which was spotless and well equipped for all our needs and we would highly recommend Holmdene to anyone looking to stay in Castleton. we will definitely be back for more visits.
