Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Chicago River

This place was perfect for two of us! Everything about the description was accurate. It was very clean, super easy to access, and in a perfect spot-walkable to tons of restaurants, coffee shops, and even a few gyms we tried. Water pressure in the shower was phenomenal. Neighborhood felt safe for late night walking to and from restaurants. Hosts were communicative without being over-the-top. Would book again in a heartbeat!

Former Chicago resident here—Ryan’s place was so nice I stayed here twice and had great experiences both times as a solo traveler. The neighborhood is peaceful, close to the Green line CTA stop, and the house is an amazing place-clean, multiple bathrooms, nice kitchen, terrific value and often presents opportunities to chat with other guests. My room and bed were quite comfortable. The mini fridge came in handy and I really appreciated having coffee available for mornings when I didn’t have time to stop by Dark Matter, Intelligentsia, or The Worm Hole. I look forward to staying again next year!

Loved staying here. Our first time in Chicago. They made us feel Right at home. Helpful with public transportation and local recommendations. It was peaceful and comfortable. The hosts and their sweet dog are amazing!

Great place. Great location. No issues at all. I would rent again. It's a good spot between the Gold Coast and Lincoln park and beer some really good restaurants. Place was as described and would have no issues staying there again.

My family and I had a great stay at Bel’s powder blue house. The house matched the pictures and description posted on the website, and was very clean and cozy inside. Bel’s communication was very effective throughout the entire experience, I will definitely be booking with him again in the future!

We had an amazing stay at this loft in Chicago’s West Loop! The space was not only stylish and clean but also incredibly comfortable — the bed was perfect after long days exploring the city. One of the biggest highlights was how dog-friendly the place was — our pup felt right at home, and there were plenty of great spots nearby for walks. The location couldn’t be better — super convenient to restaurants, shops, and everything we wanted to see. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago. The air conditioning was spot on after the long days in the heat.Lots of great recommendations- super responsive to any questions we had. The ping pong table brought back great memories for my family as we played each other. The pull out bed on the main level hosted my entire clan of 4 as we all relaxed at the end of the day. The carry outs close by are fantastic if you don't feel like venturing out to the city.. we look forward to future visits to this air bnb

I had a very pleasant week-long stay in Chicago and highly recommend booking here! From start to finish, everything was seamless and comfortable. One of my favorite aspects of the stay was how easy and modern the check-in process was — the keyless entry made coming and going so convenient, especially after long days exploring the city. The space was clean, well-maintained, and had everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The location was great, with easy access to local restaurants, attractions, and public transportation. It truly felt like a home away from home. Whether you’re in town for business or leisure, this is a fantastic place to stay. I’d definitely return in the future!

A-MAZ-ING stay! My wife and I had such a blast in Chicago. GOGO was very kind and inviting, good energy! The place was exactly what we wanted with all the amenities. Sparking water in the fridge which was a treat after waking 18k everyday. As a runner, there was plenty of sidewalk and things to see. I recommend running up LEAVITT to 18th street and take 18th down for a nice 3 to 5 mile run. The L train “pink line “ was close and walking back at night we felt relatively safe. I would high recommend staying here in Pilsen area the next time you are in Chicago. Mahalo

Andrew was a lovely host and the space was fantastic. Everything was clean, comfy, very walkable, and great WiFi. I am used to street noise living in a city myself, however I could see if you aren't accustomed to that, that it would be something to note [it isn't excessive, just normal city noise]. That being said, there is a white noise machine for sleeping which is a great touch! I'll definitely stay in Andrew's properties next time I am in town.

Our second stay here-- all is wonderful!! Well appointed space, fabulous bed and pillows. Everything you need is in the kitchen. The location cannot be beat -- across the street from the park. Would absolutely come again!!

There is no way I/we can do a review of Elizabeth's beautiful apartment in just 1,000 characters. Met Elizabeth personally, made a wonderful connection. It's the most awesome airbnb we've ever stayed at. The apartment has been beautifully remodeled. As a retired general contractor, I was very impressed. The neighborhood is fantastic; great for walking, shopping, and there are restaurants galore. The location is fantastic for touring Chicago. The neighborhood is beautiful with lovely architecture and interesting shops. There are lots of families; couples walking, biking, babies-buggying. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood after a walk to dinner or lunch. The bed/bedding is very comfortable and we slept very well. Great temp control, lots of windows, and a 65"flat screen TV. The bathroom is large and airy with a walk-in shower. The unit is very quiet, with dual-pane windows and black-out shades for sleeping in late. Stay here for the best Chicago experience.

We loved our stay at Danny's place! This was our first time visiting Lincoln Park, and the location of the home was perfect. We walked to restaurants, the Lincoln Park Zoo, and the beach. We appreciated being able to have our dogs with us and found the area very dog-friendly on our walks. Danny was kind and thoughtful with all the extra touches and responsive communication. He even caught us in person to make sure we had everything we needed. Our family felt safe walking in the neighborhood day and night. We even took the bus to downtown Chicago, which is only a few miles away. The house itself was very clean and large - our family of 4 plus 2 dogs had plenty of room to spread out and feel comfortable. We highly recommend the home to others and hope we can return again someday!

Great location and responsive host. The amenities in the place are great and the bed is amazingly comfy. The airbnb was a bit dusty everywhere (the bottoms of our feet were black after walking around barefoot), but that seems par for the course for basement apartments that just hang on to dust.

We had an incredible stay in this stunning Chicago penthouse! The luxurious space exceeded our expectations, with every detail thoughtfully considered - from the beautifully appointed decor to the stocked spices in the cabinet. The host was responsive, flexible(we really appreciate)and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We highly recommend this penthouse to anyone looking for a top-notch Chicago experience!

Wendy and Matt's place was comfortable and homey. The location was great, the apartment comfortable, and we had essential amenities. The building is mid-century modern and designed by famed architect Harry Weese that incorporates thoughtful references to Chicago architectural history throughout while still remaining visually cohesive. One minor issue is the stove, which is electric and somewhat underpowered. It's good enough for minor work like breakfast or heating leftovers but you may struggle producing more elaborate meals. It was a very minor quibble but worth noting for those culinarians wanting to prepare their own meals. The oven is decent but there is only one. Overall, my stay was excellent and I recommend Wendy and Matt's place wholeheartedly. They are excellent hosts as well.

The condo was a couple’s dream. Made you want to just live there forever. Very clean and felt like home. Hosts were communicative and courteous. Will definitely book again in the future and would highly recommend!

Susan’s home was comfortable, clean, well-equipped, and aesthetically pleasing. The bed I slept in was one of the most comfortable of my entire life—I prefer a soft mattress. As far as location goes, the street was quiet, good for walking our dog, and close enough to public transport. Plenty of buses were available. We used street parking for our car and never had problems with finding a close spot to the house whenever we did take the car out. We enjoyed the stay greatly and will stay again. Thank you, Susan!

Wonderful lodging in a really nice space and a great area.

We enjoyed our time at this apartment! Nestled in the Bucktown neighborhood of the city, which is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful homes. Nearby Wicker Park and Logan Square have a lot to offer, as well as Lincoln Park (the neighborhood) not being too far away either. While the bedroom and bathroom are on the smaller side, that’s just city life and it is a perfect retreat for 1-2 people. It’s very stylish yet cozy with the decor and all updated appliances and bathroom. I would take note of the stairs for this unit in particular, as it’s on the second level but they were fine and the patio deck was nice! We really appreciated Lauren being accommodating to our late booking. We would definitely stay here again!
