“My family (extended family) has used Airbnb for a few years now to do family vacations. We try to rent entire homes that can accommodate 10+ people to retreat from the business of life and spend time together. We chose Eric and Rob's place to celebrate my son's first birthday for the weekend. I have to say this is probably the nicest Airbnb we've stayed in to-date. When we arrived, the place was sparkling clean, and there seemed to be no end to the thoughtful touches and amenities they provided. (They even had shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers fully stocked in the showers!). Eric and Rob have gone above and beyond regarding communication. The check-in/check-out process was very clear so we knew what to expect. Upon arrival they had a little guest booklet loaded with helpful information. They were also very responsive as we messaged through the app. The remote controlled fire place was a favorite and provided such a comfortable atmosphere for our family to just relax and enjoy time together. Their kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans, baking sheets, plates, etc. You could cook a Thanksgiving meal there. We cooked a couple larger meals for our group of 10 people (7 adults, 2 kids, 1 baby). We couldn't say enough good things about this place. It's ideal for a group of about 10 people or so, but I could also see going there with a smaller group, or even just as a couple for a romantic getaway. I would highly, highly recommend this place.”
We offer a basement suite, located in a quiet neighborhood. Our goal is to provide a comfortable,“Dutch clean”, friendly accommodation, at a very reasonable price. This is a great place to stay while visiting family or friends, exploring the wonders of West Michigan, or while on a business trip. We are conveniently located about 2 miles from Hope College and historic downtown Holland which offers a great assortment of shops, restaurants, breweries, galleries, and a farmers market to experience.
“Kathy and Jim were wonderful hosts. They met us outside as soon as we arrived and gave a thorough tour of our accommodations. The space was sparkling clean and beautifully decorated. All the comforts of home were there with many extra special touches, like flowers, homemade chocolate chip cookies and a variety of cereals and homemade granola for breakfast. The coffee was delicious and they provided juice, milk and yogurts to eat. The backyard was a paradise of beautiful, trees surrounded by lush foliage and colorful flowers. There were several stoned paths winding throughout. Bill and I felt like we were in a scene from the Wizard of Oz!! We left after our stay feeling relaxed and refreshed. In addition, all social distancing and sanitation guidelines were followed, which was reassuring during this pandemic. We highly recommend a stay with Kathy and Jim.”
Our townhouse is named "A Step Away" because it offers a downtown location along with a back yard, a deck, two levels of living space, and it's dog friendly. This professionally decorated and seasonally refreshed 2 bedroom and 1.5 bath home is neatly located behind our lifestyle mercantile shop where all guests receive a special discount at our store during their stay. Enjoy yourselves at our fully accessorized home away from home.
“Richard & Christian’s place was amazing! Perfect location, in the heart of Saugatuck, and amazing accommodations. They provide anything you might need. The first night the grill wasn’t working and Christian personally delivered his own grill for us to use. Very thoughtful and highly appreciated. We loved staying here and would 100% recommend to any other families planning to visit Saugatuck.”
