Mountain Views and Starry Skies in the Countryside

Come enjoy the quiet of the country, only 15 minutes south of town. Stunning views of the La Plata Mountains and dark night skies for great star-gazing! Nice area for cycling and walking. Many of our neighbors have donkeys, horses, llamas and goats, chicken and sheep. No cigarette smoking but we are 420 friendly (outside only please!). We are a safe place for women travelers. There is a very friendly Labrador Retriever and a Basset Hound that live on this property but not allowed in the apt.

This cozy bungalow on "The Mesa" is approximately 13 miles from downtown Dgo. It is an unattached stylish efficiency with all of the comforts of home. We are close to the airport and hospital in the southern agricultural area of town. Beautiful views, simple living and comfort in this adorable custom apartment will have you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated! There are pets on the property and neighboring ranches galore. If you love nature you are going to love The Songbird. All day long you will hear songbirds. And in the evenings, you may see deer, turkeys, pheasants, geese & quail. It’s a 1-bedroom 512sq.ft guest house with a 256 sq. ft. covered porch and it’s located at a secluded distance from our private home. It was built for visiting family members and is used throughout the year. The little cabin is surrounded by 4 ft. chain-link fence so that everyone, including our pets, is welcome and safe.
