Wow we loved this place so so much! Firstly it was within the most peaceful setting you could imagine. Sitting out in the garden was so serene, and the wood fired hot tub was a fun bonus! Inside was immaculate, so cosy and homely! Absolutely everything you might think you need was supplied! The upstairs bedroom/bathroom was dreamy! Surrounded by lovely walks (the coastal footpath was only 5 minutes walk away) and close by to some gorgeous Devonshire villages/towns, I genuinely couldn’t fault this property! Hopefully we will be back soon! ☺️

Just home after a wonderful week at Clifford Barton cottages. It was so welcoming, a home from home and very restful and peaceful (even with an energetic toddler who absolutely loved all the space, bikes and the mezzanine playroom!) Beautiful location with walks and bike rides a plenty. Vicki and Gavin were very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and Vicki even made a Birthday cake as it was my husband's birthday whilst we were there. We'd definitely love to go back.

We had a wonderful time at our stay. The house was very comfortable and clean. The house is located on high level- so not very suitable for wheel chair users or people with walking problems. The bedrooms both had en suits which both were lovely (both upstairs with no downstairs toilet). The kitchen was well equipped. The location was also very good with places to visit - a car is needed. There is a good size private outside patio to use with good quality garden furniture. With an additional grass section in front -children to play The big bonus was the access to the swimming pool . steam room , sauna & jacuzzi throughout your stay.The whole family really enjoyed it- you need to bring your own towels as they do not supply the towels unless you are staying in the golf club hotel. The Golf club has a bar and Resturant to get food and drink. The golf course was especially good. Very well maintained with beautiful views. Not expensive to hire and play. We would love to return.

Beautiful cottage with cosy but striking decor, really comfortable and cosy. Perfect for the six of us. Kitchen had everything we needed to prep a roast and the garden was small but perfectly formed. The local pub was a stones throw through a pretty village, with a really delicious menu. Only downside was no local shop for a pint of milk, loaf or emergency crisps. But I guess that may be tricky to sustain in second home areas. All in all a really comfortable cottage - thank you x

Katharyn and Ben were amazing hosts. Really friendly and helpful, the property is full of character, comfortable and with everything you need for a quiet country getaway. We loved sitting in the garden room at breakfast time and chilling in the hot tub in the evening sunshine. The beautiful beach of Beer, and the pretty fishing villages along the coast are no more than a 30 min drive away so it's a great place to base yourself for some exploring too. A wonderful find and highly recommended! Thank you!

Had a lovely few days away. Chris' cottage is very peaceful and had amazing views whilst relaxing in the garden. The cottage itself is very clean and homely. We would definitely return and recommend to anyone looking to come to Devon.

Booked this house for a hen do. It was beautiful - the photos really do not do it justice. The cottage was pristine, had everything you needed. It was decorated tastefully, and was the perfect setting for a group of hens for the weekend!! The Cary Arms who manage this property are amazing hosts - so proactive, friendly and accommodating to the many many requests I submitted including having an ice bucket on hand for arrival, extra prosecco flutes for drinks, flexible check in. The only word of warning is the very steep road the cottage is located on. It’s not for the faint hearted!! But they are so helpful in moving cars for you where required. We finished the weekend at the spa which was just what the doctor ordered!! Followed by lunch at the inn which was delicious. Overall a wonderful team and house!! Great memories made this weekend and our bride was over the moon

Emma and Kevin couldn't have been more welcoming. Oystercatcher is a lovely place to stay and the private hot tub was perfect for us. Kevin made sure it was ready for when we wanted it. Touches such as the tea/coffee/ milk/Luscombe Elderflower Fizz made the visit and the homemade biscotti was perfect. Even the dog had a bag of treats. There was alot of information about the locality, including walks from the property and personal recommendations once we arrived. The location is very peaceful and the garden was beautiful. We will stay again.

Absolutely loved our stay at Cotmore farm. Perfect for our family. Our 3 and 1 year old were very happy there playing with the rocking horse, trampoline and seeing all the animals. Piers and Sue were incredibly welcoming. look forward to coming back!

This is a beautiful cottage with everything you will need for a seaside stay. The cottage is well equipped and all rooms are beautifully decorated. Idyllic location right in the heart of Shaldon and well placed to get to other resorts in south Devon. Nick the host responded to all my emails quickly and all instructions were super clear.

Thyme cottage was such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The cottage is characterful and comfortable and well equipped. The fireplace was a wonderful, warm touch. The village of Woodbury Salterton is charming and friendly and close to Exeter. The Diggers Rest is a must! Stop in for a friendly pint or even better for a meal. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Thyme cottage will be among our top stays.

Great venue. Amazing for families or couples. Beaches, restaurants, walks, shops all within 10 minutes. Perfect to stay with your pooches The hosts are very responsive to any enquiries. You will not regret staying here!

Ben's cottage was stunning — we loved every moment of our stay. If it were possible to give 6 out of 5 stars, I would have. The surrounding area was breathtaking, we enjoyed wandering through the fields and visited the vineyard, where we sampled some fantastic wine. There were also some excellent local pubs close by, all serving delicious food. Everything felt convenient, peaceful, and just perfect — there wasn’t a single thing we could fault. We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

We loved our stay in this beautiful cottage. Gill made the whole experience extremely easy and peaceful. The house was well equipped. It was lovely to receive a welcome pack. Wish we could stay longer. We highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Katy’s place. It was so very peaceful with beautiful surroundings. Having the enclosed courtyard was invaluable, as I was alone some days with the dogs and it meant I didn’t have to worry about where they were, as it was totally secure and private. The kitchen facilities were everything I needed for cooking, the property was spotless and relaxing and of high quality throughout. Walking from the door up the lane to the woods was fabulous with the dogs. And the homemade scones on arrival were amazing. Thank you Katy for a wonderful stay.

Wanted to come back as soon as we left! The cottage and its surrounding areas are absolutely stunning. Perfect for a relaxing getaway and a change of scenery. We were given a lovely recommendation for the Rugglestone Inn which we absolutely loved! Easy access to the moor and nearby village of Widecombe. The cottage is fully equipped with everything we could ever need. Not to mention its log fire which brought the whole place together as well as its comfy bed! We will be returning at some point in the near future! Can’t get enough of the place!

We’ve just returned from our stay at Captains Cottage. Such a lovely home to stay in and the kids particularly liked the added bonus of the Xbox and Alexa. Great location within walking distance of lots of bars, restaurants and shops. Brixham is such a lovely area to stay in and explore but also easy to get around on the bus and travel to explore further in the car. We always found a car space usually at the top of the steps, only struggled on one very rainy day. We would definitely return if we were to brave the 6 hour journey again. This was our second visit to this lovely cottage, as we think it has the best views over Brixham. It’s a fabulous location to just step out from and the parking space is a massive bonus. We definitely plan on returning. Feels like home from home.

We stayed at the cottage for 2 nights as we were in Brixham for a wedding, the cottage was beautiful. It was exactly what was listed and it a fantastic location. We arrived to fresh cookies and milk which was a lovely touch. I massively recommend anybody to book with Ryan.

We had a wonderful stay at Rosedale Cottage, plenty of space for our family group of 3 generations. We particularly loved the large dining space for our family meals. Lesley was really helpful with local recommendations and checking we had everything we needed. The cottage was really well equipped. We would definitely stay again if returning to the area.

A fantastic apartment in the heart of Brixham. The view from the kitchen is absolutely stunning and if you're luckily enough to enjoy some sunshine the patio is fabulous too. Brixham itself is a wonderful harbour to explore with great walks to enjoy from the town itself. Lots of steps to and from the apartment but just adds to the adventure. Thank you for a great stay!

We booked only 2 days before we arrived the process was very straightforward the cottage was lovely very cosy and comfortable and spotless there was nothing we wanted for beautiful surroundings fantastic view of the harbour ( which our grandson enjoyed) great value for your money cannot recommend it enough we will be back

What a great location! Brixham is soaked in history (I know - I wrote a historical novel set here, A Spring Marrying, with scenes just a couple of doors down and others on the boats and in the streets right behind). This house occupies one of the most beautiful places to see it all. You get all the feel of a busy harbour, but somehow still in a peaceful setting. Everything inside is clean and new. Annie kept us well informed all along and we knew exactly what to do. Just be aware - I had a bad knee during our stay and there's no way to the house without quite a few steps. Inside the staircases are also steep, with the bathroom on the second floor. It was not a problem - but give yourself time if you have restricted mobility.
