Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Blackheath

One of my absolute favourite places to stay in Blackheath! I loved the fireplace and how lived in and homely it felt, the sound system was also fantastic. I was surrounded by stunning nature, plenty of birdlife including a very friendly kookaburra and even an evening visit from the local roo. I’ll be back for sure, thanks guys!

Amazing beautiful place. Great location, so serene. Lovely in everyway. Beian was very accommodating and communicative. Generous host and a very easygoing checkin and check out procedure. Lovely birdlife and log cabin ambience… The one drawback was that we did not have the time to stay longer! Could have easily stayed a few more years hahaha. Highly reccomended!

Simone was a fabulous host and the accomodation was perfect. Great location, had everything required for a 2 night stay but could’ve easily stayed longer! Loved the beautiful robes and heater in the bathroom. Simone also provided excellent recommendations for the area. Thankyou!!

Bettina is an amazing host! And her place is super cozy, warm and feels like a home. The house had everything we needed for some days at the Blue Mountains. Please stay there!

This place was beautiful and very homey. Great location! Alan was very helpful and responds very quickly, would definitely recommend to friends.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautifully designed property. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and the host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed — and more! A particularly special touch was the surprise gift left for my two kids “from the cows” — such a sweet gesture that made their day. The space was not only stunning but incredibly comfortable and well-stocked. We’re already planning to make this an annual tradition. Highly recommend!

Lovely place, very peaceful and secluded. Very close to Cahill’s look out, about 6mins drive out to Katoomba main streets for food. Took some time for us to find exact location during check in as we only arrive after sunset, but that’s on us. Location and the place was superb and affordable, minimal sound disturbance at night and morning from upstairs. Micheal was very friendly and offered a list of recommendations for Katoomba, must try the toasties and coffee from The Laneway Sandwich & Espresso cafe. ☺️ 3 nights at Harmonica felt short as it really feels like home. Thankyou for the great place and hospitality!! Would love to visit again if we do come by blue mountain again 🩵💙

Not staying for leisure. We had to stay in Penrith after my son had an operation to recover. The place was cozy and clean and had everything we needed. Easy to deal with and accommodating.

Amazing view of the blue mountains from the deck and the kitchen. Lovely home and spacious. Peaceful area located on the second floor of the house. Just have to take note that you will have to carry your luggage up/down (no lifts). And there’s only one toilet. Very responsive to queries to put your mind at ease.

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend away and would absolutely recommend staying here. The hosts were so welcoming and had thoughtfully left the heater on for us, for when we arrived… they also provided a delicious home made breakfast basket for us, including some yummy extra banana bread. The property was beautiful and peaceful and the bed was extremely comfy too. We would definitely stay here again for another trip to the blue mountains. Thanks Kerry and Noelene!!

A fabulous little getaway. The sunlight the house gets is incredible. The hosts were so lovely. There are lights that turn on after dark which was helpful. Short walk to shops and trains - albeit uphill. The only thing that was a bit iffy was the gas oven. Perhaps it was our lack of knowledge but we couldn’t google the model of it for instructions either. Other than that there was plenty of other ammenities to make your own dinner.

Matt & Eva's place is spacious and quiet, very well suited to multiple people staying as each bedroom has its own ensuite and there are multiple outdoor areas. The kitchen facilities are also excellent. Matt & Eva provided clear access/exit instructions as well as excellent local recommendations and were very responsive. Thank you Matt & Eva!
