Old Farm, Built 1580's, Nr Bath, Wells & Cheddar

Old Farm is a traditional stone-built Somerset farm house, built in the 1580's, set in a quiet village, less than 5 minutes' walk to the village pub. 10 miles to Bath & West Show Ground and 8 miles to Wells Which? described Wells as a “compact but perfectly formed gem.” We are also within 3-4 miles of the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a great area for walks, cycling and traditional pubs. Private, cosy space with double bed, hotplate, kettle, heater, tea & coffee, lots of books & magazines, and covered area for morning tea with the birds. Glamping for a fraction of the cost with electricity, but no running water. Water's provided in a 10l container, chemical flushing toilet in the same room. 20 mins from Bath, 20 mins from Wells, 30 mins from Bristol. Free road parking. Own car ideal, but 522 Bristol/Bath bus runs hourly.

A converted stone-built barn, Rose Barn is a self-contained detached property with own entrance and private south-facing garden on the grounds of Grade II listed cottage surrounded by countryside conveniently situated on the edge of the village of Gurney Slade, just few miles of the remarkable cathedral city of Wells and the beautiful Mendip Hills, with easy access to historic Bath, Glastonbury, Frome and Bristol. There are many stunning National Trust houses and gardens to visit nearby.

We offer a variety of amenities to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. We are a family run smallholding with alpacas, donkeys, sheep, and chickens and are able to offer advice and ideas on where to go and what to see during your stay in Somerset.

Get active on the many footpaths leading from our property, gently cycle the Somerset levels or try the more challenging rides on the Mendip Hills. Active or relaxing - we guarantee you will enjoy the view from our Lodge at the end of your day.

The Coach House between Bath & Wells

The Coach House is situated within gated grounds of our Georgian home and had recently gone under complete renovations and now boasts a luxurious and contemporary style of living. This includes an open plan kitchen, dining and living space of which the kitchen incorporates integrated fridge, freezer, hob, double oven, dishwasher and washing machine. The dining table can extend and comfortably seat 12 people making it perfect for family/friends to get together.

Gert Lushing - A wooden tiny house couples cabin.

This little quirky cabin nestled on top of the Mendip Hills is the PERFECT getaway from the everyday hussle and bustle. We built this ourselves and are very proud. The cabin is situated on our Family ran farm and at the top end of our Campsite. The Oakhill Inn is a 10 min walk from the cabin and cook some amazing 5* food including take away pizzas and burgers. With hardly any streetlights around you can enjoy the stars and peace and quiet.

Ash Tree Cabin nestles on the edge of our garden by the stream, in a richly biodiverse wooded valley, with its own private wetland field clearing. A quirky, cosy, insulated living space with log burner, enclosing a caravan as the bedroom. Full kitchen and bathroom attached. Covered outdoor space with BBQ and fire bowl. A very special place to relax, spend time in nature, be creative, and explore the beautiful local area.
