“I stayed 2 fabulous nights and glorious Autumn days at this studio apartment in Penrose. It was the perfect stop over for my drive from Gold Coast to Melbourne . Away from the city and isolated enough for privacy, peace and quiet. The gardens are divine especially for an old Landscape Designer such as myself. The sculptures placed intermittently, the variety of trees, perennials , Fig trees etc are fantastic. I loved the extra touches Fred has thought of. As a Host myself it is these things which makes one standout above the others. Fred has stocked everything incl ear plugs ( my dog snores) , white bath robes and more. And my breakfast of fresh eggs and smokey bacon, with pineapple juice was so very much appreciated. I could go on but it will be a “War and Peace” novel. Just book this beautiful piece of paradise as you wont be disappointed. Highly recommended.”

“This is place is beautiful. My husband and 18 month old daughter stayed here and all left feeling relaxed and re-energized. Our daughter enjoyed watching the ducks and playing in the large garden while my husband and I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere the room provided. Can't recommend highly enough.”

“The word "cosy" was coined with Morton Cottage in mind. Set in a beautiful garden, with easy access to both the village and the surrounding National Park, this cottage is comfortable, convenient and an absolute delight. The guest is presented with a well-appointed little home where the very tasteful decor is only enhanced by the many thoughtful touches, (books, games, a picnic-set backpack, emergency torch next to the bed, etc, etc), that the kind hosts have provided. Highly recommended.”
