Cabin vacation rentals in Athens

Beautiful home. Very secluded and peaceful. The driveway is pretty steep but you can expect that in this area. We would have liked a TV in the bedroom and I think the bedroom could have another night stand on the other side of bed, but that is our only complaints which really isn't an issue just personal preference. The house was extremely clean and very nice. Would definitely go back. Wish we would of had better weather so we could have enjoyed a fire at night.

Everything about my stay at Wild Honey Cabin this weekend was incredible! The views are stunning, the property is perfect, and the interior of the cabin (especially the main bed) is so cozy. Carolyn was super proactive and helpful! This cabin was absolutely perfect for my super chill “girls gone mild” bachelorette weekend.

We were at David’s Airbnb for a bachelorette party so we could go to the hiking trails at Hocking Hills. Was a great place to stay at and had a great hot tub and bonfire for us to use. We didn’t get to use the bonfire because it rained but it was nice to know we were able to use it and there were some places as you drive in to get wood if needed. Hot tub was super nice and a great experience to be able to be in and enjoy the great outdoors. Thanks again!

We had a wonderful and relaxing long weekend. The cabin was spotless and very welcoming and comfortable. Sarah responded almost immediately when we had questions. She was also good about informing us of things that might affect our stay. Her husband came immediately when we had a question about the hot tub. We could not have asked for better hosts! We have already booked the cabin again for this fall.

We had a great stay. Just did a quick escape with my husband for our anniversary and it was so peaceful. Just what we needed.

We only had the pleasure of staying at Whitney's Place 1 night but it was absolutely beautiful. We had some user error issues checking in, sent a text and 2 minutes later Dad came to help!! Enjoyed talking to him and hope to have time for that beer 🍺. The home is located on a lovely, meadow like lot surrounded by trees. We enjoyed sitting on the wrap around porch listening to nature. When we walked in we were impressed at the tasteful, high quality decor and excellent use of space! The loft was fun and very cozy and the master bedroom was LUXURIOUS with a quality mattress and plush linens. The bathroom was spotless and had a spa like vibe with fluffy towels and little extras. The host provides great assortment of games and books, no issues with WI-FI or streaming. The hot tub is awesome, I love ❤️ the little walkway to the tub and the view was like something from a Walden poem. Whitney's Place is a 10/10 if you are looking for a rural getaway with all the amenities!

Perfect location for the area. We brought our own food (but could have grabbed groceries at Young's around the corner) and enjoyed the space for our anniversary. It was perfect for the two of us and met my husbands only request. A cabin in the woods just us! We found it comfortable to sit and read, enjoy the outdoor space as the sun set or sit at the dining room table playing games. We did venture out to the Cedar Falls and Rock House , both not a bad drive. Wifi was reliable as we listened to music and just relaxed! Host was there for any little question and so accommodating!

Great place! My group and I had a wonderful time on our trip. The cabin is gorgeous, the porch swing was wonderful, and the hot tub and the fire pit were fun! Unfortunately the pool was ice cold even in 75 degree sunshine, so no swimming, but there was a lot of other things to do so it was okay. Location is great- very peaceful area, trails are super close, and not far out of Logan for restaurants and grocery stores. Absolutely would stay here again. Thanks!

We had a great time as a big group from out of the US, all the house felt comfortable with a lot of different activities inside that we wish to stayed longer to be able to use them. I personally recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in southeastern Ohio and would like a relaxing time with family

This is a great place for some time away with the girls, friends, or family. Many things to do at the cabin and not too far from the brewery. Nice firepit, and it was helpful to have a choice between a hot tub or a warm pool with jets.

My girlfriend and I spent our anniversary weekend here where we also got engaged! By far the most relaxing and peaceful weekend we’ve ever spent together. Thank you Amanda & family for hosting such a nice stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay and found the place clean, inviting and the decor was perfect. The host was very responsive to any questions we had and it was a great stay all around!

Lovely cabin and location for a long weekend. Clean with enough towels, hand soap, garbage bags, and TP for our weekend (even left the TP we brought behind :) ). Little things like a dog dish so I didn't have to use ours and the solar light in front so you can see the cabin from the road at night are special touches. Location was nice as it was close to Logan for a quick dinner out or to grab food to make in the cabin, but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. Appreciated having some level of WiFi, but be warned it isn't enough to work from or use multiple devices - which was fine by me this weekend! We enjoyed playing games and cards and were only slightly sad to not be able to watch March Madness as easily as at home. My only wish for this cabin is to have a washer/dryer after a day of muddy hiking and playing in streams. Did I mention how clean it was when we arrived? Wonderful place to stay!

Beautiful and peaceful place to spend quality time with my family. The cabin was very clean and had everything needed to hang out, cook, play games, and enjoy swimming. Love the porch! We spent almost all of our time on it. There was a grocery just 20 minutes away in Pomeroy that had any essentials you may want or need, including Mothman potato chips.😀 If you are looking to go and do something, I recommend the 45 minute trip to Point Pleasant to visit the Mothman museum. Be sure to watch the Mothman Prophecies the night before. It adds to the thrill. There is also a beautiful park by the river with great history. The town has quaint and unique shops. Overall, it was a wonderful relaxing stay!

Mayra’s place offered us a much needed peaceful and serene experience. We loved everything about this getaway from our beautiful cabin to the trails and water falls close by. We have stayed at the Persimmon 4 times and absolutely love it! The hosts are so personable and make us feel so welcome- personally I don’t ever look for another place to stay in hocking hills because this will always be our go to place- so much privacy- beautiful scenery and every accommodation you can think of- we will be back!

Very quaint and cozy cabin near Hocking Hills, with great amenities like the hot tub and dog outdoor dog washing station! I’ve never went with my dog or been to one that welcomed dogs so didn’t know what to expect in the way of odors. But there wasn’t any, I was so relieved. Plus they had treats, and toys for it out, so thoughtful. Plus, there was nothing that wasn’t thought of to make sure stay very comfortable. Mara and Carl went out of their way to help us with a few Internet issues and we’re just very attentive and thoughtful hosts. This place is a little gem tucked away and very private! So don’t hesitate!

The Airbnb was exactly as pictured on inside/exterior. What was wonderful for us was the private trail from the property, especially the seating to look at view of cliffs! It’s was quite peaceful and beautiful! The cabin was also very close to lots of other popular hiking trails within Hocking Hills State Park.

This is our second stay there we love this place. It’s amazing as if you are sleeping in the woods. Actually, it is sleeping in the woods. It’s beautiful the the communication with the host is excellent. We highly recommend this to everybody.

Great place, easy to find and a beautiful property. The only thing we would note is to bring your own water, the water smells strongly of sulfur but not a big deal as long as you have your own to drink!
