I loved this cabin and had a great relaxing birthday retreat weekend with my friends.

What cute and accommodating place!! Very quiet and peaceful!! And an awesome story behind the humble abode, just ask Cowboy Joe!! It is a great place if you plan on venturing out during the day and want to come back and relax!! The hot tub was awesome. The beds are amazing too. As mentioned before the kitchen is bare except for cooking and eating utensils. So plan for that. We would definitely do a retrun trip!!

This cabin was the perfect retreat from our busy lives. It was in a peaceful, quiet area with deer and wild turkeys walking through the backyard. The cabin was very clean, inside and outside. The landscape was beautiful and everything is within a short drive from the lake to the local winery to the restaurants on Main Street. We had such a wonderful stay and hope to visit again soon!

Our stay here was so excellent! We loved being on an acreage and getting to interact with the goats, chickens, dog, and cat! The Airbnb was so cute and we loved the deck off the back. The goats liked to hang out back there and it made my day. This location was so beautiful and scenic. We used their map to check out the walking trail, and tried almost every recommendation in their guide book! It was located so close to Dubuque, but gave a nice secluded feel. The hosts were so sweet, and I loved interacting with them! They even left a birthday card with homemade chocolate chip cookies on the front porch for us. What a sweet touch!! 🥰 I would definitely stay here again!

My girlfriend and I went for her birthday weekend and found this place/town on a whim. We both found it very worth its price with the walk ability to downtown Bellevue, the small beach and the state park. The cabins are nice because they have partial privacy from neighbors, but also the ability to easily turn them into more of a group hangout kind of area. Overall we were very happy with our stay. Just could have used some signage as to which cabin was which (this may have been on the site map, but the map wouldn’t load on either of our phones).

I had a fantastic stay! The accommodations were super comfortable, and the space was decorated so cutely—it had such a welcoming and cozy vibe. Everything I needed for a relaxing weekend was thoughtfully provided. The host was incredibly responsive and made everything so easy with clear instructions for the home, plus helpful recommendations for things to do around town. It really made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again!

This is our second year here and we can’t wait to be back. It’s a beautiful, peaceful area with privacy from other lodging. Steve checks in to make sure everything was going okay, he was friendly and helpful.

Visited from Chicago after graduation from residency with my mom, sister and dog. It was just what we needed. Sooooo peaceful, restorative and tranquil. The place was comfortable and cozy. I really enjoyed sitting outside on the porch and chatting with my family while watching the rain, the fireflies and the mooing cows. Will probably visit again sometime soon!

Wonderful short stay at the Brown Cabin! Donovan was super responsive and gave clear instructions! His property was beautiful and close to some walking trails! We’ll definitely be back!

Had a great weekend at this quiet, cute cabin! Lovely setting and perfect setup for two couples. Nice little outdoor area and fire pit, peaceful surroundings, well setup for cooking and grilling, and very comfortable. Our friends had stayed here before and we can see why!

We stayed there for 4 days for a family retreat. We absolutely loved how peaceful and secluded the house is and enjoyed everything about this beautiful house - especially the grill on the balcony. Galena and Dubuque are both a 15-20 min drive away so it’s at a prime location for excursions around the area. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming - they accommodated our stay with our cat without a question. Our cat loved the backyard so much that he didn’t want to leave. Will definitely recommend to anyone traveling to the tri-state area.

Pauline's cabin was beautiful and cozy. You can sit and just marvel at the sight of the Mississippi River. She was communicative and accommodating. Although there was some confusion regarding the listing, she did not fail to resolve the issue and was overall friendly. Would highly recommend staying here and will most likely be back in the future with the whole family :)

Beautiful cabin in an amazing natural space. Within 20-30 minutes of great things to do, but driving back to this great house was tops after each excursion. So peacful and private. Perfect place to absolutely unplug and unwind! Looking forward to our next stay already!

We loved our stay! The cabin was affordable, clean & even better in person. My kids had a great time & as a not-so outdoorsy family, it gave us the perfect balance of comfort & nature. Highly recommend!

Really loved this Airbnb stay! Truly enjoyed the location, it was very peaceful. The host, Jolene and her husband were extremely welcoming and super nice. I look forward to coming back and enjoying a longer stay at this beautiful cabin.

Beth was very communicative before and during our stay. The house was nicely decorated, and furnished clean and exactly as we expected. I appreciated that we were able to leave without starting laundry, dishwashers, etc. The kitchen had a lot of useful utensils and supplies. We didn't do much cooking, but we could have easily prepared most anything we wanted. The beds and furniture was very comfortable. There were plenty of games and activities to do at the house; we did not utilize the community rec areas, but that was only due to our own agenda and time limitations. My only recommendation would be that blackout curtains in the bedrooms would have been greatly appreciated. I was up at 5:30am some mornings because of light pouring into the bedroom on the main floor.

Another wonderful stay! This was our second year booking this amazing getaway home, and it was just as perfect as we remembered. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. The location is unbeatable, and the hosts are always a pleasure to communicate with. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year!

For being our first family getaway, this was the best place for it! Under the circumstances, or family really needed family bonding and quality time. We found the perfect home! The kids had plenty to do even though it was too cold for the outdoor pool. They were very responsive and answered my thousand questions. 🤭🤪 I would definitely return!

Cute little cabin. It isn't as remote as I had hoped based on the pictures. You drive past three houses in same driveway to get to it. BUT it is in the back and trees seperate so you can't see the neighbors. We didn't hear anyone either which was nice. Very cute little cabin, had everything we needed.

Seeing the cabin in person, it was actually way better than the photos. I was impressed with everything they had for us to use like a full kitchen with spices & stuff to use to cook with. The living room and room was very and comfy. I did like the lights around the place.

This was a great place to relax. All the amenities were great! The description of the front of the house was slightly miss leading from the pictures. I did think that it was wheel chair accessible from the pictures. Then found that the front of the house has stairs leading down a hill leading to the house. However as I did not request wheel chair accessibility this is not a complaint just an observation. The house was amazing! Some few minor details were discussed with the owners and they were fabulously responsive. We followed thier instructions to the letter when entering and leaving. I loved that the grill is near the hot tub as I was able to relax while my son did the cooking! lol! Lots of fun! We enjoyed the game room and the fact that the TV is in every room! A must for older adults ! The location is near all the amenities! Which was perfect! We were able to book massages and get there within 5 minutes. Thank you so much for allowing us to be there!
