Sied Yr Ardd

Absolutely lovely little place to stay. You go in and first thing you see is welcoming indoor sheltered garden with seats and log burner. It looks like a shed on the outside but you go into the property and it looks like a modern amazing little home inside. Bright and welcoming would happily stay again. Hosts are great and responsive. Even put milk in the fridge before arrival.

The cottage

Spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and very homely. Our children loved all the cushions and blankets on the sofas to snuggle up at the end of an active day. Well equipped kitchen appreciated too. Definitely a home from home with a good size garden aswell. In a quiet location yet everything you need close by like a fish and chips shop and a tescos supermarket whilst also being accessible to lots of activities in the area. We visited the National Showcase Mines, walked to waterfalls and climbed Pen Y Fan as well as going for thrills at Zip World. Great recommendations from Andrew for places to eat. We enjoyed Penycae Inn - tasty food, animals to see in the garden behind, a playground next door and our dog was very welcome. Andrew was also very prompt to reply to queries. Handy to have the option of parking on the road out front or at the back of the garden for off road parking. I would definitely recommend the property and we will be back again ourselves I’m sure!

Elegant and spacious heritage home by river Tawe

LynnetteRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Daisy's place is a wonderful two story stone house on the main road through the village of Ystradgynlais. It is extremely spacious, warm and inviting and full of antiques. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is very well stocked. There is a garden out back and a park out front. Despite being on the main road, it is very quiet at night as there is no traffic. The village has a butcher, a baker and two convenience stores, plus a handful of restaurants and cafes. The buses go in all directions, you can go to the caves, the castle and the waterfall easily. Overall we had a good stay.

We loved it! Cosy, comfortable, plenty of hot water for a bath or shower in the large bathroom. Comfy bed. Peaceful, relaxing location. Dog friendly too! We hope to be back soon 🐾
