Shepherds hut vacation rentals in Wrexham Principal Area

Stayed here for 2 nights for the bank holiday weekend. The area was beautiful, the Lodge itself was modern and very clean. It made for a perfect get away with the private Hot Tub and cosy fireplace over looking the scenic view. Lodge was very private and secure. They provided firewood and blankets for the nights we were there and hosted a small shop for immediate conveniences such as drinks and snacks. Their information booklet had detailed lists of local shops, restaurants and nearby walks which was amazing, it saved us a lot of effort in a new area trying to find things to explore. We didn't get chance to check out the farm they had with several animals but were lucky enough to have the farm house cats come visit us each morning which we loved!

Barnutopia was our 1st glamping experience and a wonderful one too. I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised by the wonderful time we had. The yurts were lovely, the site had fully equipped kitchen, clean restrooms and we could setup fire pits every night. We even met some lovely families. The place was gorgeous with beautiful views. Being able to have a coffee outside on the tables was my favorite part. Katrina was such a helpful and lovely host. She even brought out some toys for the little ones. We definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxed holiday.

We had an amazing stay at erw Glamping, everything was clean and very cosy. We loved using the fire heatet hot tub. The only point I would note is that I wish on the listing it was noted that only a certain amount of wood would be provided. In the future I would bring my own wood as there wasn’t enough provided to heat up the hot tub for the entirety of our stay and to make use of the fire pit. But all in all, had a lovely time. A really great two night stay in Wales. Jackie and Howard were lovely and respectful hosts, met us on arrival, showed us where to park (right outside Shepherd’s Hut which was great if you want to leave belongings in the car so not to clutter hut) and we found we had everything we could possibly need in the space! Hut is situated by the hosts house but ample amounts of privacy given. A great base within 40 minutes drive of Snowdonia, Shrewsbury and Shropshire Hills all of which we fitted into 48 hours! Also if you visit you must climb up to Rodney’s Pillar for an amazing view (see if you can spot the Shepherd’s Hut once you reach the top!)

Even though the weather was a bit wet it didn’t dampen our spirits and we made the most of the beautiful scenery and peaceful surrounds throughout our stay! The hot tub was the perfect place to relax and chill after exploring the local areas! Will definitely be looking to come back again!

Blissful! The hut had everything we needed for a short stay and was well stocked with basic amenities. But more than anything what stood out to us was the beauty of the location. Truly idyllic. If we didn't have somewhere to be in the day, we would have very happily stuck around and relaxed.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Shepherds Hut. Cerys was a great host and was always on hand to offer any help and assistance if required. The meal she made for our first night was a lovely touch and tasted great. It was good to know there was something waiting for us when we arrived and took the hassle out of the first night. We would definitely recommend this property for a stay - was close enough to local towns for visiting yet far enough away that you can completely unwind in the peaceful surroundings and the views and sunsets at the hut were sublime. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a gorgeous time relaxing and recharging at the gorgeous shepherd’s hut. The pictures don’t do justice to how secluded and peaceful the space is - we felt like we were the only people in the world! Sian and her family were an absolute delight, so friendly and welcoming as well as being flexible. They allowed us to stay all day as they had no one in the day we were leaving, and were very flexible with a lasts minute request. Very informative on the local area but also left us to enjoy it. The place is definitely an outdoor vibe and therefore don’t expect complete polished luxury, but you have everything you need it’s very cute and at one with nature. The experience more than makes up for it. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing and welcoming stay. Thank you!

A truly beautiful lodge in a stunning, peaceful location – completely undisturbed and perfect for a relaxing escape. The kitchen could use a few extra essentials, but everything else was absolutely spot on!

Me and my daughter had a lovely weekend here. The hut was perfect, with fabulous facilities. My daughter loved playing outside and seeing the horses and donkeys. It's in a great location, would definitely recommend to anyone.

Beautiful little weekend getaway. Everything was clean and tidy for our arrival and was stocked with everything we needed to make a fire with clear instructions! It was very peaceful and quiet and the bed was soooo comfy! Would definitely return😊

Hannah’s place is totally idyllic. Beautiful accommodation, stunning views and super peaceful. Had everything we could need and more. Hannah was a brilliant host, very communicative and came and showed us the ropes, very welcoming. Homemade chocolate cake was gifted to us and it was delicious - definitely keen to stay again!

Wonderful stay ! Fantastic view , especially with the sheep grazing right outside. Easy check in process. Absolutely loved the accommodation, just wish we could have stayed longer !

We recently stayed in this charming little shepherd’s hut by the lake and overall had a really lovely experience. The hut itself is cosy, surprisingly warm even in cooler weather, and has everything you need for a peaceful getaway. It was clean and tidy, aside from a few cobwebs — nothing major, but worth mentioning. Being right on the lake, the setting is beautiful and serene, with stunning views. However, if you’re not a fan of bugs, just be aware that they’re definitely part of the experience — totally natural for the environment, but something to keep in mind. The walk from the car park to the hut is a bit rugged, and there’s quite a bit of goose/duck/animal mess along the way. Definitely bring sturdy boots or shoes you don’t mind getting a little dirty! The hosts were lovely — really friendly and welcoming. If you’re looking for a unique, peaceful retreat close to nature (and don’t mind getting a bit muddy or buggy), this place is definitely worth a visit.

A lovely place to go away for a weekend retreat to relax! Beautiful scene and views. We took our little dog and the enclosed area around the hut was great for him to run around in nice and secure - the gates do have a little gap under so just keep an eye if you have a small sneaky escapee dog!

This is genuinely one of the most well designed spaces I’ve ever stayed in! Imaginatively and creatively curated to make the most of every square inch so that despite being tiny it didn’t feel at all cramped. We stayed just one night for a wedding nearby so sadly didn’t get to really make use of Ted’s Shack or the hammock etc but it is such a gorgeous, private space in the middle of beautiful countryside. I couldn’t fault it! Steve also very generously allowed us an early check in and late check out. Thank you!

We let ourselves in through the gate as instructed and parked up, Beth came out to greet us and show us around, The hot tub was still filling so the water is definitely changed between every visit. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking pans and utensils and the views are stunning, We stayed for 1 night only but wished we stayed longer, Will definitely return for a longer stay to take in the beautiful surroundings.
