Vacation rentals with a kayak in Western Montana

Our family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake home. The kitchen is well stocked for all cooking, plenty of games for the family, and the most incredible patio area. The home was extremely clean and tidy but felt so comfortable for our family. The lake is quite a walk away and we chose to drive down to the walking path each time we wanted to access the dock. We hope to be back again to create many more family memories.

Pictures did not do this place justice. BEAUTIFUL! House accommodated 7 easily. We enjoyed the patio over looking the lake, along with sitting on the dock fishing. We felt right at home with any furnishing you could possibly need for a stay. Patrick was super helpful and went above and beyond. We can’t wait to come back!

One of our favorite places we have stayed. So peaceful and breathtaking views. The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed and more. Beds were super comfortable. A/C worked great after a hot day of bike riding. Our favorite was the fire pit Ryan is an awesome host. We hope to be back again

I couldn’t say enough good things about Hal & Jone. Absolutely phenomenal hosts! A wonderful spot with everything we could need. A week in heaven on earth. An elevator would be nice, but the workout on the stairs chasing toddlers was every bit worth it. We loved the space, the place, & the people we got to enjoy while at this wonderful air bnb!

One of my top vacay experiences yet. HIGHLY recommend this as a vacay spot. Donovan is a GREAT host. VERY easy to work with every step of the rental process and provided assistance with any needs beyond the basic rental (i.e. boat rental). Airport just an hour away. Convenience of Flathead Lake and Glacier Natl Park for various activities. Views are outstanding. Sitting/fishing at the boat dock in the morning and evenings is PRICELESS.

Alyssa’s home was a great spot for us to stay while at a work conference. Easy location and wonderful space.

Beavertail Lodge was just what our family needed. Off the beaten path, away from crowds and distractions, but still with the amenities we needed. Glenna was very responsive through all our planning and arrival, and met us to personally lead us in. The home was well prepared and had everything we needed. Glenna was quick to answer any questions we had, including suggestions on where to go for food and activities, or to pick up a forgotten item. All in all, a great mountain retreat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view of the lake from the house was breathtaking. We found the location to be relaxing if wanting to just hang out and enjoy the sites or within close proximity to fishing access or public docks. The house is stocked with lots of games for kids and adults. Great for bird watching and we saw a lot of other wildlife too including deer and a moose. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. We hope to be back for another stay in the future. Thanks for having us!

I can't recommend this house and hosts enough! The location and home were perfect if you are looking to stay in close proximity to the park entrance in West Glacier. The hosts were incredibly responsive and quite helpful in the planning of our trip, having never been to the area before. They gave great suggestions for hikes and areas to visit within the park. We also biked the Going to the Sun road which is not to be missed if you have the opportunity! Thank you for everything Shelby and Dave!

My mom and I celebrated our birthday weekend with our family and had the most wonderful time at the cabin. Lindsey's cabin was the perfect place to reflect and soak in the beautiful view of the mountains and lake. We spent hours just sitting on the couch looking through the the windows at the gorgeous view. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals for our long weekend. We drove to Safeway one afternoon for anything else we wanted and it was a short drive. I'm so glad for the clear directions about getting into the driveway and all the other household details written on the fridge. I didn't need to reach out for anything. Towels and toiletries were provided and we enjoyed the hot tub while looking at the lake one afternoon. There were dog hairs on the sofa and throws. It wasn't a big deal and understandably could be from pets of other guests. I do wish this wasn't the case and this would be the only thing that could be improved.

Nice, clean, and good location for our stay. Fenced yard was great for the dog. Would stay again.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. We’ve stayed at hundreds of rentals across the country, and this was easily the best experience we’ve ever had. The home is perched right on the water with kayaks ready to go, and every inch of the space is thoughtfully designed—stylish, cozy, and clearly put together with care. You can tell the host didn’t just throw furniture into a house—this place feels like a home. Everything just works. We had five people—three teenagers with wildly different interests—and somehow, everyone was entertained, relaxed, and happy (which never happens). From quiet mornings with coffee overlooking the lake, to kayaking and exploring, to winding down with games and comfy beds, this house let us actually enjoy being together without stepping on each other’s toes. The host? Unreal. She was incredibly warm, attentive, and proactive, letting us know when the northern lights were visible, sharing local tips, and home made baked cookies upon arrival!

A wonderful spot on a beautiful lake. The house and amenities were as described, with a great central floor space in the house for family to gather. The road to the lake to launch the boat was a bit of a challenge, but manageable. Overall it was a lovely spot in a great location, private and well maintained.

This place is exactly what you are looking for. The views are unbelievable and the lake is so clean! We went to Glacier National Park but Flathead lake is the real gem of this area. The cabin is so clean and the outdoor space is amazing. We hardly spent any time inside. Also, everything you want and need is within a short driving distance. We did the alpine coaster, went horseback riding, rented a boat, went to the rodeo, went to Whitefish and we are already planning more activities for our next trip like UTV rentals and a fishing charter. Plenty of places to eat. Easy to travel to Kalispell and Bigfork. We truly had a one of kind experience. Britney and her family are so kind to share something so special and we are eternally grateful. We highly recommend Cowboy Up Country Cookin’ in Somers for the best BBQ you’ve ever had.

This is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful location. Very private at the end of the lane. Beautiful and very clean home. Stunning views of the lake. Comfortable beds +furniture, beautifully decorated and well stocked home with everything you could need for a comfortable stay including a lot of little touches that make the difference. 30 minute drive to Sandpoint. Jade was super responsive before we came to visit, answering several questions and helping to set us up for a great visit.

We had a wonderful stay at Leslie and Kerry’s cabin. They were very gracious Air BNB hosts. The cabin was situated in a beautiful and very peaceful setting. Kerry provided great ideas for areas to explore in the greater Kalispell bioregion. Every day we departed for a new area to explore and after a days adventure we were always happy to be able to return to the peaceful cabin. We found the cabin to be very comfortable and tastefully staged for the week of cabin life. It was nicely located for exploration to; the thompson lakes, flathead lake, the greater Kalispell and White fish towns and gateways into glacier national park north and west entrances. We found that lake Roger’s which is very close to their cabin, was a beautiful little jewel where we watched eagles nesting in the trees. All and all, their beautiful cabin, and the week stay on their land, made for an exceptional week getaway in beautiful northern Montana Thanks Kerry and Leslie !!

This cabin was everything we wanted and more for our Christmas getaway in Montana! I had let the hosts know we were bringing our young daughter and they had the cabin decorated for Christmas with a little Christmas tree and decorations. It was the sweetest thing and really made it a cozy little cabin for the holiday. The cabin was super clean and had everything we needed and then some! We will definitely be making a trip back from Utah to stay here ♥️🏔️❄️

Wow what a hidden gem! We spent our New Year's here and we loved it so much we extended our stay! The lake view backdropped by mountains in the backyard was incredible. Some highlights worth mentioning about the home... The entire place remained cozy with all of the heating options and full control in each room. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook and bake and store food with. Movie nights were special with the giant projection screen and we loved the SMART home system. Of course the Sauna was amazing. Before arriving we were curious about the reviews regarding the step path to the property. If you are an active person ignore the reviews the place is worth the small hike which is in fact a well laid and lovely lit path that was quite charming. We were appreciative to find they shoveled and salted the pathway too after some snow. Worth a visit in the winter. You feel like you are the only ones by the lake. We can't wait to visit again in the summer months!

Felt right at home! Fireplace was awesome. Fully stocked kitchen so that we could make elaborate meals. Lake access was awesome for cold plunging. Beds were comfortable. Couldn’t ask for anything else!

Susan and Scott were wonderful hosts. Their house is right beside the cabin, so if any issues or concerns arise, they’re right there. Their kitty and little pup i might miss more than the view! Give them pets for me! The cabin is about 2 miles away from town, so you’re secluded but still close to amenities. We went kayaking on the pond which was peaceful and took a few trips to Glacier National Park. As a tip: Those who are elderly, overweight or those over 6 foot tall may find this stay challenging. I had a few good laughs over my boyfriend hitting his head upstairs, he gave no complaints but was definitely hunching over going through the doorways and upstairs. Also if you’re older, getting down the stairs every night to go to the bathroom may be challenging given the loft stairs but they do have lights on them. These things said, we had no issues and both agreed we got lucky with this listing. Best decision we could’ve made!

So many memories made here. Julie was fantastic at communicating with us. The cabin was perfect and had all the amenities we needed and more. It felt like walking into home fore the few days we were there. Perfect spot for a getaway or wedding! The scenery was beautiful. All of our guests were so happy and relaxed for our wedding. They complimented the space many times. Thank you for letting us stay and enjoy the entire area.

Great, exactly as advertised. We booked Kelcey's place as a base of operations for a trip to Yellowstone. Overall it was about an hour and 10 minutes to West Yellowstone plus around another hour to hour and a half to the main attractions in the park, depending on where you're going. That's not a short drive, but it's an easy one as the roads are easy to drive and navigation is extremely straightforward. The place itself was great, two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen where you can make yourself breakfast/dinner/sandwiches (we quickly realized the food was both very expensive and very bad in the park). The location itself is very secluded, quiet, and safe. There's a large grocery store in Ennis that's maybe a 10 minute drive away, plus some restaurants in Ennis if you want to eat out. Also not too far from Nevada City and Virginia City, though we were personally not very impressed. If you don't mind a longer drive, this is a really great option.

Super cute cabin right on the lake. We had access to kayaks, paddle boards, life vests, and just about everything you need for the water. The dock was amazing to fish off of and we caught fish just about every day... Just make sure you have your Montana fishing license and/or tribal license, like we did. We were immediately greeted by a couple furry friends that we grew to love. The neighbor grew to love us and even stopped by to say goodbye and drop off a little gift. We highly recommend this place and would love to make it our summer vacation spot. Everything is about a 20 minute drive but the views are great along the way. The cabin had everything we need to cook inside or out on the grill. We had a couple different guests stay in the cabin across from us but rarely saw them and when we did, they were nice and even played with our son. Beautiful weather, beautiful place, and peaceful. What more could you ask for.
