Hotel vacation rentals in Western Maryland

I got in late so I didn't actually get to meet the host, but she was super warm and accommodating by phone and set me up with everything I needed to settle in for a couple nights. I even got a room to myself because they wanted me to feel comfortable and safe because the rest of the people staying there were men. There aren't many provisions around the neighborhood, so bring everything you need. There was a helpful dollar store a block away which provided me with three days worth of tuna and banana chips, so I was good to go. The locals are kind of scary from afar but when you talk to them they are quite kind and have great stories to share.

This is amazing B&B. Restored extremely nicely while keeping a lots of the originals - flooring, doors, furniture and much more. Pat is very knowledgable about the history of the house. Great host!

I love old buildings with a story and let's just say it's super cool. Every bit of my stay had an interesting twist and I'm not sure WHY more people aren't catching on. My suite was on the 3rd floor (stairs only) with exposed brick and plenty of space. Next time, it will be over the winter and I plan to stay a bit longer to work on a few projects. My only complaint is that the TV needs to be larger for the living room (the one in there is too small) and there should be three a/c units. One for each bedroom and the living room. :)

Everything went smoothly. Judy communicated with us multiple times and even made sure we knew that restaurants were closed on Sundays so we could plan ahead. The 3 separate bathrooms were clean. The kitchen had appliances and pot, pans, utensils, to make a meal. Everyone cleaned up after themselves. Cute TV room/library. I would recommend staying here to other cyclist riding the GAP trail. The town was also picturesque, like out of a movie. All around great experience.

It was our first time at Cove Creek. The rooms have everything you need and the main building has a good bar and restaurant. The outdoor hammocks and gas fire pits were a hit. I would recommend this place to other guests.

We loved our room, the location, everything about it! You can walk right to the lake and have free access to Canoes and Kayaks and life-vests. We really loved the hammocks, too. And the front desk staff is so friendly and helpful.

Greatly enjoyed the stay and the rental matched the pictures! It’s a great place to stay and we will be coming back.

Hotel was nice and clean. On a busy street so a little noisy at night. Didn’t have a chance to use the work out room but enjoyed breakfast.

A wonderful stay with amazing people and a peaceful setting. The place is as described and more. I tried hot yoga for the first time with Hargobind, amazing experience. There are also short trails on the property if you’d like to take an early morning hike. Highly recommended and I will definitely go back for a longer visit. Thanks again for making my stay so much more memorable!

Checking in was simple and straightforward. You check into the hotel’s front desk. I was told I was upgraded due to the original room being repaired. The room I was in was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay and the host messaged me if I had any questions they could answer. I enjoyed the stay.

Cove Creek stands out as a relatively boutique hotel given the surroundings. While not a traditional cabin stay, it can serve as great accommodations for travelers or those there for short visits or a home base for those with lots of activities planned. Location is great, right next to Arrowhead market and beside the newly built Dollar General; additionally they have a 24/7 touch and pay snack bar in the lobby in case you need something. Rooms were efficiently organized with a kitchenette and spacious. Would 10/10 recommend to travelers who are looking for a boutique-esque hotel stay vs. a cabin, especially when compared to the other hotel options in Deep Creek area (i.e., Wisp Resort)

Beautiful stay and the property it’s self is a place to explore , beautiful host and very comfortable living and cafe near by was amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at the Salubrious House! The Generals Quarters suite was both spacious and gorgeous. The whole place is so historic, well-preserved, and surrounded by incredible natural beauty. Our hosts were very attentive and made our stay even more special. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend a night in an incredible historic house—would recommend to anyone!

Terry was helpful. She showed up right away when we arrived to help us check in. The space was very clean and worked perfectly for our 3 (partial) families. We did have blizzard-like conditions while there so it was perfect to have a cozy place to relax during the wild weather. We did use the whole house and each space was well-appointed and very clean. Always loved the place when I used to live near there. "Oldest continuously run inn in the country" is posted on Google, and the historical significance is obvious with this location. Beautiful architecture inside and out, with all kinds of Victorian age, Antebellum era antique furniture and countless paintings from that period as well. Small fridge in the common area that you can hopefully find room to put items in if you need to store food. We ended up getting contacted by the front desk and upgraded to the Washington Room which our nation's first president was reported to have stayed in. Quite the experience for any type of history buff or anyone wishing for an affordable room.

Very cool historic inn just a mile or less off interstate 81. I enjoyed the common areas with a cozy fireplace. My room was comfortable. I was just disappointed that the tavern was closed, but was made aware of Vault & Cellar, an upscale Appalachian restaurant a block away with a cozy vibe, that I walked to. I also recommend grabbing breakfast at the Daily Buzz Cafe, less than a block away from Wayside.

This is my 3rd time staying here and it is always very homely and peaceful. The price is really affordable.

Brigadoon as a whole is an experience in and of itself. The home is VERY artistic, colorful, and stimulating. There is so much for the eye and soul to take in. Heather was always friendly, warm, and helpful. We had great interactions and chats as time allowed. The bed and room was comfy and inviting, and the bathroom facilities were clean and warm as well. Overall, this choice will bring all of your senses alive in a curious and comfortable way! Enjoy!
