Idyllic country retreat of fields and woodland

JessicaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
David and Pam were incredibly warm and welcoming — it honestly felt like we were visiting family. The stay itself was perfect. The place was spotless, beautifully presented, and full of thoughtful touches like fresh milk, butter, and bread waiting for us. You can tell they genuinely care; the attention to detail was outstanding, and nothing felt like too much trouble. The location was absolutely stunning — peaceful, private, and so tranquil. In the evenings, the ducks would wander over for their dinner, and around 9pm Pam would call out to the local fox for its evening meal too. We didn’t manage to spot the fox, possibly because it saw us waiting in anticipation! They made us feel so at home — even showing us around some of their land and introducing us to their gorgeous Jack Russells, which was extra special for me as I grew up with them. Honestly, I can't recommend this Airbnb enough. I truly didn’t want to leave. Thank you both! You are genuinely kind souls with big hearts!

A last minute decision as local hotel let us down and this was perfect for what we needed. New to Airbnb and thought the process was very easy. The cottage had everything we needed and will book again!

Luxury 2 Bedroom Lodge in Rural Cheshire

NicoleRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Stayed for a couple of nights with my sister and two twin teenage nieces to enjoy a weekend away together. A lovely and clean lodge with everything you need for a perfect getaway. My nieces loved the hot tub and the huge sofa which we used to watch lots of movies! TV had Netflix and Prime login options which is great. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The Long Horn (Dog Friendly)

EmmaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Everything about this place was great. The little village itself is lovely and plenty little shops and a few bars, restaurants. The accommodation was lovely and just what we were looking for. They have thought about every single detail. From tea, coffee and milk in the fridge for our arrival, to things like storage containers to take dirty dishes to the cleaning hub next to the lodge. Every single detail in the lodge had been thought about to make the stay perfect. The bed was comfy, maybe a little hard but that is just my personal preference. The hot was really lovely. Completely private and not overlooked at all, which is what we wanted. It was lovely and warm and was checked every morning by staff. The staff are friendly. I asked if we could do a bbq on the decking of the lodge and was told we could as long as it wasn't a disposal one as it would burn the plastic decking. Hollies farm shop is 4 min drive away and perfect for bbq food. We will definitely be returning

Shepherds Hut with log Burner & views of Alpacas

SarahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
WOW! Had a truly amazing and memorable stay at Oakmere Alpacas with my four-year-old son. We stayed in the shepherd's hut, which was conveniently located next to the toilet/shower block (v clean). The hut was clean, warm and felt very secure (which was a concern of mine as it was just the two of us, but needn't have worried). The lock worked and there was a lamp for the evening. We brought a torch for the trip to the toilets at night. You can park your car out front. My son was in awe of the wildlife and loved opening the top of our door to see the peacocks and ducks coming up to us. We did the Gruffalo Trail at Delamere Forest and ate at the Goshawk, which has games and a park. We had breakfast at the cafe in the morning before going on a Meet & Greet with two alpacas, which was the shorter 40-minute trail walk to suit my son. We walked Kaiser (who is great with kids) and Julio. The team were so friendly, made a fuss of my son and made us feel at home. He'salready asking to go back!
