Hosts live on the upper level and guests pass through our space to get to the suite. In a bind we can accommodate a 3rd guest and a pet. Welcome.

I affectionately refer to this house as “The House That Built Me.” Referencing (of course) the title of country artist Miranda Lamberts hit song, from 2010. The lyrics couldn’t be more accurate. My name is Crystal, and this is The House That Built Me. My father bought this property in 1970. He married my mother and her two children in 1976. I was brought home from the hospital in 1977 & raised here with my siblings, until eventually we all married and left home.

Beautiful setting close to everything I needed to do. Quiet and peaceful Everything promised and pictured was accurate. I would highly recommend this Airbnb. Loved being on the Fox River with the geese, ducks, squirrels and rabbits.

My daughter and son had to stay for a couple days while we got our floors done and they absolutely loved it. The vibes were amazing, the people were friendly, everything went wonderfully. Laura’s farm was wonderful. There were so many animals and the working farm was great to be around. She was so friendly and personable and gave us a lot of autonomy and ability to roam her farm and hang out with the animals. The surrounding area is great for hiking and exploration. Very peaceful. Definitely a great find.

Wish we had time to book a longer stay! Regardless, it was a perfect place for my son and I to stay and do some kayaking and fishing on Paddock Lake. The deck was really a nice touch with the cafe lights. It was really nice to have access to a dock to launch our kayaks and fish from.
