The West Wing

Quiet rural setting overlooking the Mahurangi River ,Te Kapa inlet and farmland .Lots of native bush and wild bird life . Matakana area has wineries ,restaurants ,art galleries ,beaches ,regional parks and a farmers market . As it is West facing we are often treated to spectacular sunsets. The apartment is spacious with a sitting room and is separated from the main house by a double garage . Suitable for wheelchair users . We are down a 2 km gravel road but the views are worth the drive.

It is on the lower level of our home but fully independent from the main house and we are mindful and considerate of your presence. An “eco-oasis” in the township of Warkworth for you to relax in a stylish bedroom and lounge accommodation with ensuite. However, there is now a building site next to the accommodation and there will be builders working between 7.30am and 5pm on weekdays and 8am and 1pm on Saturdays. There are coffee and tea making facilities, decent size fridge, crockery and cutlery but no cooking facilities or cooking permitted. 10 minutes walk to Warkworth township with restaurants and cafes.

Braemar Cottage is a fully self-contained spacious unit in the lovely Snells Beach. It has a gorgeous ocean view over Kawau Bay. Snells Beach is about an hour's north of Auckland and perfect for a quiet relaxed getaway. There are plenty of things to do nearby from visiting charming country cafes and wineries, or shopping at the local farmer's markets, or even taking a day trip to explore Kawau Island. If you want to explore or relax closer to the cottage, the beach is only 500m away.

Views and convenience at Snells Beach.

Our space is great for travelers who enjoy wineries, breweries, cafes, beaches, walks, cinema (boutique), Saturday markets, Goat Island and a variety of places to visit and explore within easy distance. Nearby is the ferry for a day at Kawau Island. The downstairs studio is private but we are close by and pleased to help and chat if you choose. Warkworth has large grocery stores and shopping but we have a great new grocery shop and a local pub within walking distance.
