Highly recommend John's place. Perfect location - could walk to beach and get to other areas quickly. John was an excellent host. There to answer any questions, wasn't intrusive, and made a mean cup of coffee. Having the coffee shop next door was a HUGE perk! Place was spotless upon arrival and check in was seamless. I was pleasantly surprised that the place was larger than I expected. The primary suite had a a bonus seating area that I don't believe I saw in the photos as well as a small room on the first floor that had a daybed. We will surely be a repeat customer.

Nice place to stay for a short weekend visit. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was cold and rainy when we stayed, and the heating system worked very well, which I appreciated!

You cannot beat this location!! With the beach directly across the street, two great restaurants within a few steps, and only 10 minutes drive into Camden, this is the perfect vacation destination! We could not have asked for a better place to relax and have some fun adventures in Camden Hills and Islesboro. The house was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities we could have wanted. We ended up eating out for almost every meal (so many great restaurants in the area!), but the kitchen was very well stocked to make meals in. Brendon and Krista were very quick and proactive with communication and sending check-in instructions. Thanks for such a great stay!!

Robert’s place is amazing! If you’re looking for a place to feel at home, while away from home, then this is it! My brother & I are here for work & have stayed several different places so far we enjoyed staying with Robert so much, that we booked for another month.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Air BnB with my dog. Nestled right on the water, the property is quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by natural beauty—perfect for anyone looking to relax and recharge. Waking up to the sound of the water and enjoying coffee with those stunning views was truly a highlight of my trip. The home itself was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully maintained, with everything I needed to feel comfortable and at ease. It offered the perfect blend of privacy and convenience—just 5 minutes from Searsport, 20 minutes from Belfast, 30 minutes from Camden, and about an hour from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Whether you're looking to explore the coast or simply unwind in a serene setting, this location is ideal. This place truly felt like a hidden gem. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a quiet, scenic escape in Midcoast Maine.

My wife, pup, and I had the pleasure of staying at this property while on a leaf peeping road trip throughout New England. If you're looking for a brand new luxury accommodation, this place might not be for you, nor do I think it is advertised as such. But, if you are looking for a clean, comfortable cottage in a stunning setting literally feet from the water's edge, I'm sure you'll love this place as we did. Our only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer to enjoy the property as we had sort of an aggressive travel schedule. Host was responsive and pleasant. Highly recommend this property.

As mentioned before this home was enchanting. My only regret was I didn't reserve for longer. Every room had a view of the sea. We took advantage of that and spent a few evenings sitting at the picnic table dining and BBQing. The most relaxing time we have all had in a very long time. Many thanks Caitlin. Bohni’s place is exactly what my wife and I were looking for - somewhere out in the woods on the water with a hot tub close to all the amazing little towns we love - Belfast, Camden, Rockland, etc. Bohni was one of the best hosts we’ve ever had. We felt horrible because we got half way home and realized we forgot to take the trash out :( I would highly recommend her adorable home.

This cottage was just what we were looking for as a weekend getaway! It was the perfect size ( there were four of us) with two bedrooms, a full bath, combo living room/dining area, kitchen, and the best part was a screened-in porch where we sipped our morning coffee and tea. The cottage was fully equipped with bedding, towels, soaps, wi-fi, dishes, plenty of pots and pans, and outdoor chairs. There were even toothbrushes in case you forgot yours! The cottage is not right on the beach, but a short path by the cabin takes you to a lovely little beach on Penobscot Bay where you can walk for miles, bring a towel or chair to sit and read, or take a dip in the ocean. And finally our contact, Daniel, was the best. He checked in on us and made sure we had everything and let us know to contact him anytime. We loved it so much we plan to go again in the fall!

Beautiful home! Bed was great! Other things we loved were: having a well stocked kitchen (and coffee), and a washer/dryer. We did struggle to sleep the 1st night with the road noise, but we got ear plugs for the 2nd night and had no issue. Also, the sun does come in early, it would be nice to have an option of blackout curtains. Overall, a beautiful place and we would definitely stay again!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! As soon as we walked in we felt right at home. Lyndsey even had special local pastries waiting for us, all the lights were on and it was well stocked. The cottage was cozy, clean and comfortable. The views and surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. Lyndsey was so helpful in guiding us to find the best activities to do. I can't say enough about our stay and how perfect it was! Thank you for making our time so special!

Five stars, all the way! Absolutely incredible house nestled on a private drive with the most gorgeous neighborhood beach. We really appreciated all the amenities and loving small touches that the owners put into their dream home. Would stay here a million times over again. All the previous reviews indicated we would love this location, the setting, the caring of the host....we were inspired to join Airbnb to just be able to stay here!!! The beauty of the surroundings is remarkable and we admire the care taken to keep it in its refined natural state. We are so thankful we took the description and reviews to heart! We now have another great Maine memory!

This is a little slice of paradise. I came here to do nothing, essentially--read & swim for a few days in beautiful, quiet surroundings. Diane was immediately welcoming with a warm greeting and quick tour. You have privacy here, but if you need anything, she is right next door. I couldn't recommend staying here more highly! Perfect place to gather with old friends for a quick weekend. Close to shopping and great eateries. Laura was helpful and accommodating. We would rent again!

We feel so lucky to have gotten to spend precious time together as a family in such a beautiful setting. The photos really can’t do it justice—it feels like you are just surrounded by stunning views. Islesboro offered us the quaint little island experience we were hoping for. All of the folks we encountered were very friendly, especially our hosts, Tom & Susie. Our kids loved exploring the beach and playing in the cool, clear water. On misty days, we were so at home in the cozy cottage, and never ran out of interesting books to look through. This place has quite a formidable library with something for everyone. I truly loved the aesthetics of this vintage cabin. If you are looking for R & R or a very special place to work on or ponder a creative project, this is a wonderful setting. We really can’t say enough nice things about our experience—we were so comfortable and relaxed. We so hope to come back someday. Thank you Tom & Suzie, for sharing this lovely piece of heaven on earth.

We truly loved our stay! The house was charmingly historic but also well maintained and modernized where it mattered. We loved the coziness of the small town but were still able to easily drive to other destinations throughout our week. We highly recommend!!

We arrived the evening of check-in, had a little problem finding the right cottage, and with the keys, especially for the outside door, but then settled in quickly and found ourselves beach walking. The first days were very cold off the North Atlantic ocean, and we were glad for winter gear! Locals said it's not usually that windy consistently. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the awesome sea view with loons were fishing every morning. We couldn't quite sleep to the sound of waves, but the cottage's large windows presented the ocean front and center! Many of the cottages were unoccupied, which made a quiet stay overall. One day was clear and sunny for the top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia NP, with amazing views of 360 water, lakes and ocean. Being off-season many restaurants were only open on weekends. We were happy to eat in with the best view! Belfast Harborwalk is not to be missed, and the shops were glad for business. Jeff was always available for the few glitches encountered.

This is a beautiful place for 12 people to gather and celebrate. We filled the house with love, joy, and music. Tracey is responsive and helpful. Fantastic!

This was such a treasure of a stay and one of the best trips I've had in a long time, thanks to the joys of this beautiful home. It's located along the coast and near the adorable town of Camden, Maine, which we also fell in love with. As soon as you see this house, you will fall in love and walking in the front door to the view of the bay beyond the windows is an experience. The house had everything we needed and more, the beds were very comfortable, the fireplace was easy to use and such a treat, and the kitchen was well-stocked and more spacious than the photos make it seem. Tobias was a fantastic remote host, providing all sorts of recommendations and checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They ensured our walk was shoveled immediately after a heavy snow and their family who owns the cooking school next door even offered us a tour during their off-season break. I cannot wait to come back with my mother and sisters.

Retreat House was a perfect match for our needs - we were 8 adults, 5 children under 6 and the family dogs and we had plenty of room to spread out. Having our own private beach was an added bonus. Paul had more than enough firewood stacked and ready for our use in the house fireplace. There is also a fire circle on the beach, and sitting in front of a fire while the kids played in the water was so relaxing! The house was THE MOST stocked house we have ever stayed in! There were more towels than we ever could have used, paper products galore, every type of pot or pan we needed. There was also a fairly large selection of games to while away the time. If you are someone who is looking for a pristine, condominium type (ie stark and lacking any personality), then this home is not for you. However, if you long for a big old rambling cottage at the beach - one that is brimming with character and quaint little touches (the grandkids loved the fairy house tucked in the woods), rent this

Overall, Deb's place is very nice and served well as a home away from home. It was the best Airbnb that I've ever rented. The neighborhood is quiet and the road that runs by the house has little traffic (it's a dead-end). The kitchen was well stocked with appliances. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. It takes 10 min to get to downtown Camden. On the downside, the furnace had just broken before we got there and so it got a little cool. Further, we could not get the jacuzzi to work and the flooring is a little beat up. But, the positives drastically outweighed the negatives.
