Vacation rentals with lake access in Virginia Beach

The property is spectacular. Everything about the accommodations was excellent. Not one complaint. Just praise. The host was very friendly and helpful. So were the neighbors!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this lovely Airbnb! The house was spotless, cozy, and felt just like home. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, from the comfortable bed to the little touches that made the space warm and inviting. The host was kind and responsive, making the whole experience easy and relaxing. I’d definitely stay here again—highly recommend!

Overall this was a great experience, & even with the max amount of guests (6 total) we generally had a lot of space; places to sit & relax; & all felt very comfortable. The view of the lake was also incredible & the amenities provided were top notch. The only criticism I would give is that the listing seems a little misleading about the building being a standalone house vs the town home/condo style house that it actually is. This wasn’t a huge issue but it seems fair to note as the parking was a little confusing once we realized that it was a town house with a parking lot, rather than a standalone one with a driveway. To be fair we did have the max amount of guests & according to Jason this was out of the norm; & Jason did do his best to communicate in finding places to park- but I feel that if there’s any hesitation he might have of that many people being there then the listing may need to be made more clear. Overall though we had a great time & enjoyed the view most of all.

Absolutely loved the home and the whole experience! Our only issue was in our arrival and not being aware that high tide would impact when you should attempt getting to the house. More information regarding the tide schedule and if the roads within the houses are accessible would be very helpful. Recommendation to stop at the grocery store before you each the beach access road and what types of things are not supplied at the house would be good, too. Overall we were so very pleased with our stay and Misty was great when we needed her. I would absolutely recommend this house to my friends and family and would love to visit again!

Michelle’s cottage was clean and convenient. It was right on the sound with beautiful views and a private dock. The neighborhood was very quiet. Michelle was helpful and responsive and we look forward to staying there again in the future!

There may not be enough space to describe this home. It far exceeded my expectations. It offered every comfort of home. Everything I brought with me to make the stay comfortable, they already supplied. You name it, they had it. The house was beautifully decorated with far more space than depicted in the pictures. The living room is far more spacious than expected. We wanted for nothing. The responsiveness of the host may be the best I’ve ever experienced. We had a snafu with the thermostat. Not only was there a quick response to our inquiry, a technician arrived w/i 30 mins and quickly resolved the issue. The technician explained what the problem was and stayed long enough to make sure his “fix” truly resolved the issue. Those accompanying me during the stay kept raving about the home. It truly felt like home with ample dishes, almost every kitchen appliance imaginable, comfy beds, beautiful decor, a stunning setting, ample space and great communication. Well Done!

Sarah’s Portsmouth home exceeded our expectations. Coming from Phoenix, we were looking for a peaceful, welcoming place to unwind with family and this home delivered. It was clean, cozy, and full of charm. Mornings were especially memorable with coffee on the deck while birdwatching and enjoying the quiet surroundings. We didn’t feel the need to plan activities — simply being together in such a relaxing space was more than enough. It felt like a true retreat. Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your beautiful home!

We loved our stay at Karen’s place. The apartment is very comfortable, and the views are spectacular. I wish we had more time to enjoy the offerings. We hope to come back again!

Beautiful home, It was a pleasure to bring my mother back to her home state after 55 years. Thank you for your time and hospitality. It was an amazing event to share this experience in your home.

I would definitely stay here again! My absolute favorite part was the deck outside. It had so much seating and a table with an umbrella. The home was lovely. The queen size bed was comfy. The space on the side of the bed with the wall is awkward because the intake vent is there, and that vent is also loud and annoying. Just wear earplugs! We added two of the wooden tray tables from the closet as night stands. The house is clean except the floor, which I'd imagine is hard to sweep or mop because the boards have shifted, making the floor uneven with cracks through out. So the floor felt and looked a bit dirty, but you're by the beach with sand, so eh not a problem.

Everything went well for my stay-cation. I am familiar with the area and decided to try one of the Airbnbs. The apartment was clean, quiet, and we'll appointed. My only issue was actually with the Airbnb app, it kept lagging for both of us when we messaged each other. All in all, a great atay.

My friends and I stayed for a few days the space was clean and comfortable we felt right at home sitting in the living room together on the big couch, we needed something small just to accommodate the few of us and this worked perfectly not far from stores and fast food which we liked overall great place! We would stay again .

Perfect family vacation for our family of four and our geriatric black lab. The kids loved the pool, the canal (we brought a kayak and paddleboard, but you can easily rent them…never saw a boat navigating it so traffic was almost nonexistent, and it was a peaceful and beautiful paddle, and they went fishing off the little dock), and the very short walk to the beach! The pool had lots of shade and a great breeze for the dog, and he loved the spacious yard that was dog friendly. I loved the simplicity of the house itself — it had everything we needed but was cozy and we didn’t have to run up and down stairs all day…important because our dog is too old to handle that. The closest beach aches didn’t have stairs either! Easy to get on the beach and not crowded. Steve and Tracy were easy to communicate with and friendly. I’m sure they would have jumped at the chance to fix any issues, there just weren’t any!!! This was the most relaxing beach vacation I’ve ever had! Highly recommend!

This place was perfect for our family when we stayed. The room upstairs was adorable and worked out fantastic for my 2 younger boys, there was a pullout bed in the couch for when they wanted to sleep downstairs. The entire place was cute and clean, the area is quiet and calm with a beautiful view of the sound. I would recommend this place if you're looking to unwind and relax.
